Happy ish with that draw.
I think Barcelona are Still looking to find a patten of play that threatens the opposition.

great at going forward. but there defence. has weaknesses. If we attack. we can score. we just can't sit back.

Have to agree here.

I think we have enough in the locker to beat them over the two legs.

I’m just glad we avoided Burnley palace or West Ham.

dihanio, I like your optimism and God-willing we will beat them but take it easy it's Barcelona we are talking about.
I guess if we succeed in the winter transfer window, it will greatly boost our chance.

The transfer widow is open for them as well but a lot of the good players are cup tied.

For instance if you have Alex Sandro (who is cup-tied) you have a player that the coach can be confident playing in the EPL while M. Alonso is well rested for the midweek champions league fixture.

Obinna, my point is, Barcelona can sign players in the window as well as us!
Our squad in my opinion, lacks natural left sided balance and has for a few seasons. So any quality left players would be welcome.

TomB; What did you insinuate when you said, "but a lot of good players are cup-tied".

Not insuating anything, just stating a fact that a lot of good players play for teams that qualified for the Champions League and if they have played for those teams they are Cup Tied for the competition.

Good you are stating a fact, I am concentrating on how my team Chelsea can be better not Barcelona (they can go ahead and sign whomever they want) but I know Chelsea's chance of beating Barcelona and doing well in the UCL will be boosted if we get some players in whether they are cup-tied or not (esp LWB, STRIKER AND ATTACKING MIDFIELDER) to alleviate the problem of crowded fixtures.
Today's news (from Conte's words) is stating that Morata is feeling tired and having a back problem; imagine this happening when the Barcelona game is close, you can rest him and play another 'coach trusted' striker (who is cup-tied for the UCL) so that he can play at optimal ability in the Barcelona game.

{Ed001's Note - Morata played at the weekend with the problem and a lot of painkillers. Probably explains his poor performance.}

I don’t have much faith in mid season signings but if it helps the team/ squad all well and good.
When we reflect on our squad this year we see a least three players who are struggling in there first Premiership season but one could argue that signing any quality player in this window means there is more chance they will be settled into the club and league by the start of next season.
I’m sure we will stuff Barcelona over the two legs. So I’m a very happy supporter!
