Diego Costa is today quoted as saying 'I didn't want to leave. I was happy. '

Who would keep Costa and ditch Conte?

Costa can go.

Of all the problems we have Morrata is the man to lead us up front and Conte is king.

I'm kinda confused about all the media over the last few days. Especially when it comes to fitness people are saying he's put on weight but surely if your trying to force a move you'd be the opposite? I doubt athletico wants to buy someone who may not pass a medical. Is he not just putting himself into a harder position?

{Ed002's Note - Atletico cannot buy him at this time as he cannot be registered.}

Every year he made it clear he wanted to return to Madrid, even almost disrupted our title season in January when wanted to jump ship to china, only time he wanted to stay was when china had to pay 100% tax on signings and when athletico for transfer ban, he has been made available and begging for return to athletico, the fact they can't sort a loan out and athletico won't pay what's asked is not Chelsea or contes fault.

''Thank u Diego Costa for your contributions to Chelsea (u were well paid though) .
If there was an agreement that you will be gone by summer, why are u then causing all this drama now?
what difference does it make if someone reminded you of an agreement by text message?
My thoughts: COSTA- is that you are being selfish and might end up at a disadvantage.
Next time DIEGO- before u push for a transfer, be sure that the club coming for u won't run away at your valuation.
SORRY DIEGO, BUT IN THE END, YOU MIGHT END UP HARMING YOUR OWN SELF ;AND ATHLETCO MADRID AND CHELSEA WILL GO ON BEING BIG CLUBS. '
PLEASE Chelsea, don't bulge on your valuation for him (cos he's a trickster) . ATLEAST, NOT UNTIL HE WRITES AN APOLOGY LETTER.

Mrs Wood, Conte is the best thing to happen at our club for a long, long time.
I'm no longer embarrassed when a Chelsea manager talks to the media.
As much I supported Costa through the seasons, last season his attitude at the start, middle and end was a joke and disrespectful to the club, supporters and management.
Having players who want to be at my club are the players I will support. Not players who continually say they want to play elsewhere!

Chelseaforlife, please look at the clubs responce to his solicitors accusations.
The club would not put in print anything other than truth incase it ever got to court.
The media love this sort of rubbish but surely our own fans can see through all this and see it as just an effort for Costa to get his own way by painting Conte and the club in a negative light.

2 weeks wages for 'VICTIM'- Diego Costa. Now the club will play their own hand.

Not likely but hope the club let him ROT for the two remaining years of his contract!

Tom B, the story u r saying about Costa was leaked to the press via matt law and other Chelsea supported journos.
But I believe it was the other way around. In January Chelsea wanted Costa to accept a mega bid to move to China. However, Costa only wanted to go to Athleti if he moves.

i believe you are incorrect. im fairly sure if you read back on this page you might find some info on it. did costa actually not come out and say he was considering a move to china? or considerig big offers from overseas. him talking about it and throwing his toys out of the pram is why they said he was surplus to requirements. i fairly sure he knew it would be harder to get in the spain team playing in china and he also wants to go to athletico. so i don't think anything you have said so far is true. are you a troll? you seem unable to give up this stance on even though costa himself has contradicted what you are saying so im just wondering what your goal in this is.

We are free men. Believe what u think is good. I won't be speaking about Costa story again.
Ps. - I am not a troll.

Pleased your not a troll. Whatever that is!
When as a fan you worship a player and he let's you down, I think I'm entitled to be p---sed off.
What this bloke is trying to achieve is a disgrace and as I've already said, I hope the club let him rot for the remaining two years of his contract.

{Ed002's Note - To try and clear this up, Costa kicked up a fuss in January and told the club he wanted to leave. Chelsea do not keep players who want to leave (e.g. Matip) and the deal is simple, once an acceptable offer is made to both the player and Chelsea, they can move on. Costa wants to move back to Atletico but they have not made any offer and cannot register him before January. In a discussion with Chelsea they asked Chelsea to keep him or loan him to January with the provision that he could not play in the Champions League - and then they could talk money. That was not in any way acceptable to Chelsea and there has been a discussion with Milan about a season loan or a sale. That is all there is right now.}

Thanks Ed for confirming that It WAS Costa that told the club in January yet again he wanted to leave Chelsea.
