I don't think getting Stones is going to help too much this season. Judging by pre-season and the start of the prem we need a couple of positions sorting out.

RB - Ivanovic has looked awful, at fault for goals against Swansea and City. Move Azpi there now Baba has signed.

RW - Willian is hard working as ever and his pace is a massive bonus for us on the counter. But when does he ever create anything, score a goal or even put a cross into box. I'd want Griezmann over anyone but it looks like Isco is the target.

CM - Mikel, Ramires are both Ok squad players. Doesn't look like Jose is going to blood Ruben just yet. It's fine playing Fabregas there against teams with no pace or threat through the middle but he's been poor thus far. I'd like to see him play in a 3 man midfield like the Chelsea of old. Him, Matic and Pogba would be amazing but unlikely. Gustavo or Song would be good signings.

Gustavo or song would nowhere near improve us. I'd prefer Witsel.

I don't disagree that Witsel is a good player but I just think he's another player that likes to get forward. We've got an Essien in Matic, we need a Makelele to sit next to him. That's the only reason I mentioned the 2 above. Plus, they're both good passers of the ball unlike Ramires.

If we fail to bring anyone in then I think you've got to give Hazard a free role in the No.10 position and free him up, otherwise I don't see us challenging this season judging by our start. Hopefully i'm wrong and it all clicks into place by the end of the month but as it stands we seem to have stood still a bit in terms of squad depth and transfers.
