I didn't see the match, and was just a friendly, but presumably some of last season's striker woes on show? Anyway, we surely have to have at least one more option which is why (unless excellent replacement comes) I was not happy to see Lukaku go, attitude or not.

Nah mate, the main problem was the lack of pace regarding passing. Costa looks like he's going to be an amazing signing. He pressed really well and worked really hard for the team, just didn't get the service. Drogba had a few more chances but failed to take them, he looked rusty but it's pre season so hey ho. glad we have a couple more games to go before the season starts to get those cob webs out

Agree with Zola. Costa did well. It was the lack of creativity in the final third that mostly let us down. We were also quite laboured with our passing. The problem was Salah and Torres as our wide players. Neither are that creative nor good at passing. Salah's touch is woeful. The two penalties pretty much ruined the game.
On a side note: Costa had an opportunity to shoot and laid it off to Salah (who was offside).
