Tom posted a while ago re waiting to see how players return after a serious injury. Broja is still a "wait and see", RLC came back but CHO has never been the same player since his. I can only guess it's a confidence issue as he obviously passed a medical for his loan move to Germany. The young Portugese lad we've just purchased is on a par attack wise, but much better defensively than CHO so I'd rather CHO was sold. If the Palace rumours are true he'd fit perfectly there, far less pressure to perform than at a top 6 (really wanted to say top 4) side. My reasoning here is look at CG, was huge at Palace when on loan, but hasn't looked nearly the same player with the pressure to perform/ get starts at a top club.
No disrespect meant to Palace, survival is there aim, whereas at the "top" clubs the aim is to win trophies.
As an aside, I was impressed with what Patrick did with Palace last year, but, no money to improve and a CG gone this year ( and Zaha too now this year) I think they will be right in the relegation battle next season under Hodgeson. Veira's appointment at Strasbourg (sorry spelling) is in my mind a masterstroke, he will develop young talented players to be ready to step up to pl whilst putting Strasbourg (spelling again lol) into a challenging position in the top half of the French League. If BlueCo can purchase a Portugese club I only see their foresight as a "win, win" .

As long as he joins someone, never matured unfortunately, has all the raw talent in the world but seems to be more interested in social media and fashion than football.

Kiwi, I have never had a reason to look into the mechanics of the so called multi club model.

Putting aside the issues of club structures I have to say the opportunity of players being loaned within the system looks from the outside interesting.

Yep, exactly Tom. Within a multi club ownership situation one would think/ hope that a players perceived, or possible deficiencies would be addressed with a view to them being eventually integrated into the CFC squad as the finished article whilst remaining within the club structure. Ed002's comment that Webster has options for loan being Heerenven or Stasbourg, at Stasbourg we have input, at Herenveen we have none under a loan situation. A prime example is Jamal at Bayern who we lost because the gap between academy and first team was too great. Players want to play, if they are given a route to where they want to be ( rather than a vacant space for a year or 2) they will be onboard. It's about providing pathways (clearly defined) to these younger players that if they work hard and perform there is a next step and eventually (if they have grown) a possible first team spot at Chelsea.
