I’m very disappointed MM has been sold. I’m also equally disappointed he has chosen not to stay and is gone to Utd.

Dan, he supposedly got a good offer from the club but he didn’t think it was. I assume he is getting close to what he thinks he deserves from Utd.

If you had told me at the start of last season that Mount and Havertz would be sold to PL clubs I wouldn’t have believed it. However, the Mount contract issue was never going to be resolved: so it’s for the best. Neither Mount nor Havertz performed consistently last season, if at all. They both have chosen to leave the club and are no longer Chelsea players so shut the door on your way out. It doesn’t particularly bother me that they have gone to PL rivals as we should be concentrating on our squad and the quality of incomings. So far, IMO the board have done a good job in reducing the size of the squad: the next test is transfers in.

I'm not going to blame he owner for his, they didn't want to play for us anymore and pushed for moves, if the clubs they have gone to are the only ones bidding then they have gone there.
I'm very excited with poch and the new young players who want to be playing for the wonderful club that us Chelsea.
I'm more gutted about kante and azpi.
Silva or James for captain and there will be some very exciting new players coming in.

I think they should have done more to keep him. I’d love to know what the difference in wages even was. As Ed002 might predictably say, it’s irrelevant, and he’d be right. We move on, but this one hurts, I think he’s a phenomenal player and will be a Man Utd legend now.

If we use last season’s performances as a reason for selling players we could sell between 20-30 of them.

We now move on with i hope some more quality signings. We haven’t got many midfielders left to sell from last year’s squad.

I guess the following may be leaving.

MC, TC, Pusilic, CHO, Ampadu and Lukaku.

Chelsea have never really had an issue selling players to rivals before under abramovich so kinda used to it. I wish MM and the club could have come to an agreement but they couldn’t and got a great fee for a player with 1 year left on his contract so can’t complain.

Ed014, are you just sad that you’ll get a max of 50m from all player sales this summer ;)

I’m looking to get involved but Matt you can’t blame the club the player ran his contract down. Nothing we can do about that. Also, we were sanctioned and could not improve on our terms already offered to him even if the club wanted to. Surely you know this?

I'm more disappointed kai sale to arsenal than Mount. we may have done another kdb with harvertz. I don't know what prompted his sale but it was a careless thing that the club has done.

As far as players leaving is concerned, I wish them all well but we all have our own favourites and I’m sure we will regret losing some more than others. Given the amount of players we are releasing, some are bound to have fantastic careers away from the bridge!
