A few italian outlets are claiming we are interested in Milans Suso maybe in the New Year which seems a bit unlikely.
Any idea if this is true and do you think he has improved sufficiently since his time at Liverpool to cut it in the PL?
Many thanks.

{Ed001's Note - the actual facts are that there has been scouts from Chelsea at a couple of Milan games and the Italian press have decided it was for Suso. I don't know how true it is but Sarri does like him and he plays on the right side, so it would make sense.

As for improving to cut it in the PL, he was good enough, it was Rodgers that was an idiot and ignored him. He has a lovely left peg on him and loved to get stuck in while at Liverpool, not sure how that has changed in Italy but he didn't need to improve, he just needed a manager that gave him a chance. Personally I think he should never have been let go and should have been given more chances. I really liked him at Liverpool, he was incredibly poorly managed.}

Thanks for that insightful reply Ed 001 much appreciated.
If the £34m euro buy out clause is correct it sounds like a sensible target.

{Ed001's Note - if true he would be a bargain in the current climate. A good manager like Sarri would have him ripping up the Prem with his delivery. His problem was always his size counted against him - he is short and so he was not the typical Prem player. I am not sure about the clauses though, or if it would even be a buyout.}

Very different these days with the Silvas proving able to cope at City.
The style of play does help them considerably however .
I am delighted to see Sarri improving the younger players like Barclay and RLC .

{Ed001's Note - the problem was Rodgers looked at him as small and weak because he was small. The kid would run around getting stuck in and winning tackles and still Rodgers would rule him out for being small. It was ridiculous.}

Ed001; you really do rate Suso- He constantly attacks and can press quite a lot too. The player that I want to ask you about is Pulisic, Is Borussia Dortmund looking to sell him in the winter or come next summer? And is Chelsea interested in him?

{Ed001's Note - I like Suso, he was a really nice lad at Liverpool. Pulisic is not one Dortmund are looking to sell right now, though they could probably be tempted by a huge fee or if the lad decides it is time for him to move on.}

Thanks for the reply.

{Ed001's Note - welcome and Ed002 tells me Suso's release clause has expired during the summer so Milan are likely to look for big money for him as they have a lot of rebuilding they intend to do.}

I get feeling that they might not get more £45m for him. Thanks to Ed002 too.

From little I’ve seen I like Suso. insigne, depay Pulisic Suso Zaha asensio, anyone really with the instinct to give and go and run in behind, We need movement and that end product, with Sarri front 3 theere more RF then RW ( imo )

Funny ed001, I remember you and I having a discussion about suso a couple of years ago, we and a couple overs seemed the only people to rate suso. he’s got his plaudits now after playing for Milan. Great player.

{Ed001's Note - lots of people tend to prefer physical players, ones that look big, strong and fast, rather than players like him who are more technical.}

And that notion has lead to a lot of teams missing out on good players whom they- earlier in their careers thought was lightweight.
