Stepping aside from the transfer rumours and concentrating on what we have in Jorginho.

What a player we have signed, it's been ages since we've had a passer like him, his so quick with his passes, its almost like his telepathic with his passes and that is mainly down to his fast and footballing brain. He was the engine in the first half today, brilliant.

I can see why Sarri wants Rugani. He will play the high line better than Luiz and be high up closer to the midefielders. Our defenders dropped deep in the 2nd half. Rugani will keep Sarri's tempo going for 90 minutes as will Jorginho.

CFCShak, you took the words out of my mouth mate. If Sarri wants Rugani, give him Rugani before Juventus change their mind. If Jorginho performed this well adding Rugani (who will be like another Jorginho in defence) will be something. I saw the game last night (Jorginho is something) .

Christensen is elite passer, maybe he wants 2 ball players but AC had high % pass accuracy last year.

The better for us.

Christensen an elite passer? Really, didn’t he give the ball away last year against barcelona which they went in to score, just as an example.

Not having a pop at you Matt, but people are hooked on numbers and statistics nowadays. Really don’t know why.

These are professional players they ALL should be elite passers of the ball. I’m not talking everyone playing 40/ 50/ 60 yard balls, but simple 5/ 10 yard passes. They shouldn’t be going astray. That’s what makes Jorginho so good, he plays it simple.

Anyone know where to watch the friendliest?

CTV or the pub at the ground.

CFCAdam I have to agree with you mate. Christensen isn't yet an elite passer just yet but he will be one in the future. He needs to battle the mental side of the game, since the Barcelona error he hasn't been the same. Personally Rugani replaces Christensen if he comes. Rudiger for me has to play.

You lot do realise Rugani has yet to establish himself as a first team regular at Juve?
He has less experience that Andreas and no experience of the PL clearly and you think he's ready become a first team regular in a much tougher league?
He is a promising youngster but no more as things stand and the figures being quoted are ridiculous.
The danger is he will get priority of Andreas due to the fee and I can't see the sense of playing two kids in such a key position.
We should be targetting one top experienced CB rather than a kid and consider letting either Cahill or Luiz go.

Sarri knows him better then any of us as he managed him at Empoli if I read correctly. If he wants him, then who are we to argue?

Again agree Adam. Turvey, you need to question Sarri mate.

Rugani is not only a good passer but also quick passer like a Jorginho in our defense . He's a defender that wins the ball very well high up the pitch with great ease. He's stronger than Christensen in the challenge (whom is easily pushed off the ball most times) . Don't get me wrong Christensen stays as he could easily become a better version of Rugani as time goes on.

If there's a chance that Rugani is like a Jorginho in defense then we must take that chance. I strongly believe that whatever makes Sarri's philosophy sink in fast- the club should do it.

I would question Sarri on the basis of my comments given a chance and likewise about Higuain who is another poor choice.
Jorghino looks interesting and a good buy in terms of his age and talent.
Hopefully the club don't follow up the interest in Rugani and Higuain.
