#Napoli lawyer explains the Maurizio Sarri contract situation and warns "no clubs can negotiate with him unless we give permission" football-italia. net/ 122260/ napoli-. #CFC #THFC #RealMadrid

Simon Phillips comment:

"This will be a real legal battle if Chelsea are to get Sarri. Unless one of the parties lays down, this could go on some more yet. But how badly do Chelsea want Sarri? Guess we'll find out. ".

If Real Madrid are interested in Sarri which isn't improbable- all I can say to Chelsea is 'SORRY'. I don't see coming to Chelsea.

It's over mate, Sarri appointment is off. We have only gone and wasted some precious time, I wonder how long! If we had no intention of paying the release clause of 7m then why even waste time chasing the man. With our board we should not expect anything less, clueless. An embarrassment, I don't see anything other teams negotiate so much for a manager. Looks like Sarri's agent Is miffed off too "is chelsea even a football club" lol.

Anyway may as well get back to realistic targets, Avram Grant or Laurent Blanc? Tbh I don't fancy either. I doubt Zidane will take another job and we can't afford Enrique. I would rather Conte stays now. A lot of crap has gone on, we need some clarity, some direction. A lot of fans are frustrated.

This entire situation has just been ridiculous. Trying not to pay much attention to this fiasco but with our board it obviously wasn't going to be anything simple. This entire situation doesn't suprise me at all. From us supposedly ready to pay the clause, to waiting for it to expire, to trying to negotiate a fee with Napoli, to then making it into a legal battle. Best one i've seen yet is Marina supposedly being on holiday during the transfer window and will return next week to start negotiations. Doubt a lot of those are true especially the last one but hey, with our board it wouldn't surprise me. I think it'll sort itself out one way or another but it seems like we're in for another long, frustrating summer.

I don't understand the wisdom in sacking coaches every two when we aren't financially strong to pay a £7m release clause, It's crazy.

Actually thinking about it i s the usual doh moment. They did the same with players offering well below release clauses annoying everybody in the process by wasting time and ending up signing unknown players.

ChelseaFC must not forget that they are a football club first and a business house later. Trying to get a good deal must not become such an obsession that football becomes a secondary objective. Real mess this is. Already starting a new season this way.

Sarri still odds on to join, the next shortest odds are 6/ 1. I think you are getting a little ahead of yourselves.

We all know its complicated on both sides, have some chill.

There is a lot of water to run under the management bridge yet.
Trust me!

I for one would prefer we didn’t have a racist homophobe managing our club; and I certainly wouldn’t pay £8mill for the pleasure.
