Do any Ed's know if this is a player Conte wanted? . This move literally does make any sense at all. I still think he'd be a better back up than Michy but with what else we could've gone for this is ridiculous.

{Ed0333's Note - I remember reading Conte saying about the possibility of signing Caroll that a club has lots of players they look at for the position they are recruiting for and sometimes you don’t get your first, second, third or third choice. I’ve got a friend who’s very close to Carroll he’s West Ham and apparently it’s done! I’ve been going to watch Chelsea week in week out since the early 80s and was there when times weren’t the greatest but times have also changed and a club like Chelsea should not be buying players like Carroll I’m absolutely gutted and the football we’ve had to watch for a few years now under Mourinho and Conte is so negative and the transfers have been so negative I can’t and won’t give this club another penny of my money I go with my 4 kids every week home and away and it cost a fortune and the club is not giving us entertainment for the money so I’m done until something changes at the club it’s pathe at the moment I don’t know who’s making these signings but out of 20 signings 2 have come good Hazard and Kante and that’s it the rest are bog standard it’s emba what’s going on at the moment! But yeah trust me people my friend is well in the know and the Carroll move is a done deal I’m now throwing my season Tickets in the bin as we speak!
