Well, thank god that's all over!

I think we got what we needed in the end. Drinkwater is a proven premier league player, we all saw how he performed with Kante. should fit in well and he's English. Zappacosta, I haven't really seen him play other than for Italy. Could turn out to be a shrewd but of business and adds competition for Moses.

Im happy Barkley, Mahrez and Ox didn't sign, it means Musonda has a chance to fulfill his potential with us, instead of another loan. I'd be interested in seeing what Baba will be like once Conte has had time to work with him.

KTBFFH.

The Ox and Barkley are not right in the head. Immature and they think they are better than what they are are. I hope we stay away from Barkeley.

I understand what they were thinking with World Cup coming up. And glad ox isn't near our team his just a kick and run merchant, Barkley on other hand under conte with drinkwater cesc bakyoko and Kante would learn so much to his game, postionally and technically and has he physical attributes already, big mistake by him. Would of played a lot in my opinion,

Totally agree that Barkley could be come a good player for us, but he wouldn't have played a lot for us before January.

Waiting till January, or even summer 2018, makes the most sense for him (and his wallet) . It also allows us, or maybe Spurs, to properly assess the injury he's been out with. I think it was a mutual decision from all involved, except Everton, to wait.

To be honest I think with both Barkley and the Ox the alarm bells are ringing already - possibly less so with Barkley to be fair - but I think it shows a distinct lack of ambition on their part and a degree of fear. Fear that they wouldn't be able to compete with our current squad and a lack of hunger to test themselves. Ultimately I think at this level that strength of character is what gets you over the line even more so than technical skill - we want hungry competitors who will get their head down and fight for the club a la Marcus Alonso and Dave. Not primadonnas that only care about what position they get to play in.

As mentioned before the Barkley situation has all the hallmarks of a Levy intervention. We know Barkley wants to go to Spurs, so we offer a good price now and Eveton willingly accept, as a - out of contract next year and b- the club and most supporters want to get rid. Levy is hoping no one bids for Him in the summer because he is injured and Spurs know they can get him for a lot less in the January window. But because we bid Levy has to make contact to Barkley or his agent to say Spurs want him and will buy him in January. Barkley then pulls out of the deal to sign for Chelsea, making out he doesn't want to sign for anyone while injured.
