Hi Ed, I hope you are well, it seems that the Jose rumour mill is in overdrive today, my question is about Jose situation, but also a a more general question, so it could be about any manager in this day and age.

You stated before that Jose was not being sacked by Real Madrid, and so I gather his contract has a few years left (or maybe it is up at the end of the season?) if he and chelsea had agreed a provisional contract (or any manager in this case) would this not be a breach of contract, as Madrid had not given him permission to talk to a club! With players his would be "tapping up" and chelsea would be in trouble (I. e. Ashley cole) so my question is does the same apply for managers as for players.

Terence {Ed002's Note - There is no "provisional contract" - Mourinho is employed by someone else. If Chelsea had a contract with him, then the club owe compensation to Real Madrid. How would it be if Mata today agreed a "provisional contract" with Barcelona?}

Mata's going to Barcelona? Great, he's been our best player for two seasons now.

Ed002, is it possible to reach an agreement in verbal form rather than the written form with an other party, in this case being José Mourinho. Could Chelsea have reached a "provisional" verbal agreement with Mourinho or, as suspected, there is absolutely nothing to the latest rumours but a case of teasing on the behalf of Mourinho?Thanks Ed. {Ed002's Note - Give me a break from this.}

Lol I knew that question was next. Nice one ED. Some folks just have nothing between the ears.
