Is Chelsea still interested in signing Bakayoko and Sandro or the personal terms and transfer fees are not agreed yet?
Ed please throw some light.
{Ed018's Note - yes they would still like to sign both. I'm not sure about any terms being agreed at this moment. I know Chelsea met with Juventus this past Monday about Sandro but it sounds like it might drag on for a bit. I still think Bakayoko will get done here at some point}

Undoubtedly Sandro is world class. I am surprised that we are looking for a major recruitment in that dept as Alonso did a fantastic job. Granted his lack of pace is a concern but still it wouldn't be a major desaster if Alonso was first choice again next year.

This allows Alonso to move into the Left handed centre back role. Where he sometimes played for Fiorentina.

The problem is united still want a player like Bakayoko, he is an easier and cheaper target than Eric Dier or matic. We have been pussy footing about for weeks again, I can honestly see united coming in and signing him.

Well let's look at it like this. If you united swoop in and buy bakayoko then at least we know the problem lies with chelsea and how we recruite players.

i don't understand how the club doesn't see the advantage having Bakayoko gives above other clubs. This isn't a transfer that should even be deliberated upon. WHAT A PLAYER BAKAYOKO IS (just 22-23yrs) . For those that think Chalobah should be given a chance as against having Bakayoko, please they should think again. He has the ability to outplay Kante even. Pls not this one.

The problem with buying Bakayoko now, is, that we haven't a buyer lined up for Matic.
If United were still interested/ Chelsea were willing to sell to them, it might get done quicker.
That's just my thoughts on it.

I doubt if we 'won't' sell Matic to Man U for petty reasons. It is far more likely that Matic will sign for United as soon as Bakayoko signs for us - which will be this week.
