Ed018, If we are to believe what we read PSG have met Cavani's release clause. Do you think there is any chance Chelsea will match the bid or is the deal dead? Many thanks -James13. {Ed018's Note - I think he will end up at PSG}

Yeah just saw on talksport to would be great I was watching the u20s world cup this year few players were a cut above the rest bruma, zouma, llori, kondogbia, defulou,
bahebeck were all stand out players for me. kondogbia was a personal favorite but bruma was buy far the most dangerous player in a very offensive Portugal team.

Mark Schwarzer signs a 1 year contract with Chelsea

DeLaRusso

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Excellant edition to the squad. 10 times better than turnbull and hilario.

Perfect signing. Waste of money buying Ruddy. -James13

Agree14 Disagree1

He is 41.

Agree3 Disagree7

Its only for a year and to cover a homegrown player spot cortuis be here next year

Blueben

Agree12 Disagree0

I've got no problem with Schwarzers age tbh. He's a very dependable keeper who is capable of doing a good job. in short it gives me confidence if he plays, something I couldn't say about Turnbull or Hilario.

Agree10 Disagree0

He's one of very few footballers who keeps himself in excellent shape. Very good signing, very happy. BLUEBOY1

Agree7 Disagree1

Didn't see this one happening tbh but Quality signing. Great professional and still a top class keeper for back up.

Agree5 Disagree0

I didn't mean anything by saying that he will be 41 in October. At 41 van der Saar was far better GK than DeGea will ever be.

Agree7 Disagree5

Van der sar retired at 40

Agree1 Disagree0

Wow I don't think anybody saw that coming, great 2nd choice keeper in my opinion, far better than Turnbull. Good luck Mark!

Hearing a rumour about yilmaz from turkey. He's a very good player available for a little over 20 mill. Scored 8 goals in last yrs champions lge same as messi. Rather him than Suarez.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

I'm thinking could be a possibility doesn't he play for the same team as drogba and sneidjer and also mikel is linked with them could perhaps be something in the pipeline

Agree3 Disagree0

Watch Spurs jump on the bandwagon for his signiture. Poor guys do their scouting based on our initial player interest.

Ok I'm starting to getthe feeling it's suarez or jovetic that will lead the line I don't have any solid info but just reading between the lines both make good sense to me Suarez is the better footballer but jovetic comes without the baggage as fellow Chelsea fans who would you prefer disagree for jovetic agree for Suarez

P. s eds would you consider it a fair statement that one of the two is likely to lead the attack this season or am I well wide of the mark appreciate your input.

Also is there anything new regarding Kondogbia?

Blueben

Believable7 Unbelievable8

I would rather eat my own eyeballs than see Suarez in the Chelsea blue! Irregardless of talent he is a disease, a mercenary of football, a cheat & a liar. Not only is he banned for a quarter of the season, he opitomises what I can't stand about football. I see a lot of new age fans these day who are obseesed about the 'BEST' players without giving a seconds thought to the commitment, professionalism, passion & desire to not just win, but lose, shake hands & walk away with your head held high at the end of every match, that many players with great talent do. To many 'great' footballers these days with no respect for the game. I wouldn't care if he scored 40 a season, i'd rather have my pride. It's not asif we don't have better options anyway, probably all complete tosh anyway.

CFC86

Agree14 Disagree4

Liverpool fan in peace here.

CFC86, that has to be one of the best posts I have read in a while. Suarez is undoubtedly talented but his actions continually disgrace not only himself but also my beloved club (who have only ever supported him, even when we shoudn't have) and most of all the beautiful game.

Players like Van Persie, Suarez and even Benteke are all a product of the modern game, where nothing is more important than the players themselves. People also use the cliche 'no player is bigger than a team' but if anything this transfer window is certainly showing that to be completely false.

Do not get me wrong though, I understand that any individual would want to earn more money in their chosen profession and at a higher level, however, there is a way to conduct yourself when doing it, and it is that common etiquette, or rather lack of it, that in my opinion is ruining the game today.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck next season, although I doubt you'll need it with Mourinho (and hopefully not Suarez) at the helm.

Regards.

Agree13 Disagree1

Cfc86 I don't disagree at all with how he acts its a disgrace but if anyone can sort him out it has to be Jose and let's be honest on the pitch the man is a genius the fact is even with all his faults the man is one of the very best in the world how many better options are there out there. more importantly he is good enough for that eventually one top team will take him regardless of his faults and I would rather have him with us then against us but like the pool fan said could all be tosh lot of talk about yilmaz and I fancy a snag with jovetic still I guess we all trust in jose to make the right call and keep the tropheys coming in.

Benteke for£18m is what i've heard, thoughts on this?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Doubt Villa will sell him that cheap! They are holding out for £25m-£30m apparently or Benteke will become like bent - a bench boy!

Agree2 Disagree3

One of the eds on the Liverpool page said they are asking for around £18m-£25m

Agree3 Disagree1

I'd expect him to end up at Spuds

Eds please can you confirm if there is genuine interest from Chelsea in the following:

1 - Suarez
2 - Rooney

Really frustrating reading all this paper talk at the moment, according to them we are going after both. Thoughts? {Ed018's Note - I don't know o any interest in Suarez from Chelsea although I guess his agent is has approached Chelsea. The Rooney stories keep popping up but I just don't see he him moving}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Benteke seems more likely to me given the news that has come out today.

And given that he could form a fantastic relationship with our growing Belgian contingent, and is young enough to develop into one of the best goal scorers in the league, I believe he is certainly better value than at least Suarez.

Agree1 Disagree3

Well this is very interesting I no he has an awful attitude but let's face it us Chelsea boys are hated anyway, Suarez is a Muppet but he is one of the top 5 footballers on the planet and if he hadn't been suspended last year would of been the top goalscorer imagine this guy playing in front of mazzacar, this guy is proven and could defiantly cut it in the CL unlike Cavani who has never truly proven it at international level, its a horrible position he's put Liverpool in but we could offer 50 mil and I still think it would pay off with him leading the attack I can't see past us not winning the tittle hate him or love him the man is lethal I no not everyone would be happy should a deal come to pass but out of all the options out there apart from Falcao9whos already been sold) I think Suarez is the best and he's only 26 pretty pretty please Roman get us Suarez and Kondogbia.

Blueben

Agree3 Disagree7

Blueben, I really like the sound of Mazzacar. Gud 1.
