Had a look at our youth team. This is a heart warming feeling, a sheer joy. We have been doing quite good in the youth cup recently, meaning we are top among those kids peers. And that is always encouraging.

Blessed with the pressure to win, we obviously turn some managers from including our youngsters into a first team more prominently.

But lets agree, Ryan Bertrand was not outstanding, but he gave a few solid performances when called upon. He surely should feature more freequently onwards. There were so many games where he should have got more playing time. Hope this happens next term.

It is unfortunate that Hutch did not get a chance to featu for the first team. I remember his last game for us, before carrer threatening injury. He gave such a good performance and what a cross for Lampard that was! If we happen not to retain our portuguese fullbacks, i hope these two would feature more often next term.

ED002 has Llorente ever been looked at by Chelsea he seems to have been around for a while no doubt he has all the qualities to succeed in the Prem.Is he not keen on a move to England or has he been priced out of a move?

BLUEBLOOD {Ed001's Note - Bilbao have refused to discuss selling him to anyone up till now. Liverpool asked them to name their price when Chelsea were buying Torres, but they said there was no money that would convince them to sell. Liverpool then tried Mario Gomez etc and ended up with Carroll. I very much doubt Bilbao will be any more willing to sell now.}

Could Bielsa be of interest to Chelsea ED? {Ed002's Note - MOTD fever for managers then?}

I've read on Muniain, but the player who could really excell in our team would be fellow team mate Javi Martinez. Ed2: Are we (were we) interested in him?

Also, is the team working on reshping the team for new season? Are we negotiating with other clubs regarding possible deal for the summer, or we will conduct business when the new manager will be in place?

JG {Ed002's Note - Manchester City are looking to replace Nigel De Jong in the summer and Javi Garcia and Javi Martinez are the two players they are looking at. I was told a while back that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player any time soon, and if they do they will want 40M euro with Barcelona a possible destination. As for transfers, as I have stated nothing has changed at this moment in time. There mremains interest in a number of players but the summer is a fair distance away.}

The prices have gone to some ridiculous heights. I understand the appetite, especially when there is so much "new money" in the market. But it is ridiculous, when although talented, but players who never played a minute of CL football a commanding fees above 30 million.

Pastore, M'Vila, Martinez, Muniain, Moura. These all a a bunch of very talented players, but the amounts quotes are out of this world. Tell me Ed2, how do then Real manage to get Ozil for some 12 million, Bayern get Shaquiri for 9 and even Arsenal manage to get Podolski for some 11 million pounds. Do you think if we were interested in these same players, the clubs would be holding out for much more?

JG {Ed002's Note - Clubs, and very specifically French clubs, will always look for English clubs to pay more for players simply because they can. The original price wanted for Podolski was 18M euros, Zenit had previously made a dreisory offer and Arsenal negotiated a deal that everyone was happy with.}

I remember Peter Kenyon publicly complaining that "there are prices for everyone and then there is a price for Chelsea". The first couple of seasons under RA were precisely that. But are we still considered in that regard?

A player i would love chelsea to buy is bilbao's iker muniain,he's young fast and would give us a whole new dimension.any interest from chelsea ed?
Thanks

aL {Ed002's Note - Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros. They won't get it. I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has shown himself to be pretty immature. Roma interest is still there but perhaps an eventual move to Barcelona beckons.}

Hey ed, Are our summer targets being put on hold because of the managerial situation and if de mateo is replaced will the players being looked at change much?
Also do u have any speculations about what players will be leaving and are there any prearranged deals completed or nearing completion?
Thanks
-Cali {Ed002's Note - Nothing will have changed from what has been previously discuissed. The summer remains a long way off.}

Why always with the clever remarks ?? Wouldn't mind a response now and again.

Keep up the good work, cheers {Ed002's Note - So why not ask a sensible question?}
