Ed Sport trend and Francios Piraux have reported the Chelsea Representatives will meet schwenstiger's agent on saturday and after that they travel to munich to open transfer talk.Ed is there any truth about this {Ed002's Note - I have now way to comment on what appears to be Twitter based rumours.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Who's Twitter account speaks about this possible transfer, if its true then I guess Modric is going to Real and Schwenstiger is the new target. Great midfielder and a massive capture if they get him, never thought in a million years he'd leave Bayern.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love this to happen, i am a huge an of his, but i cannot see it happening.

Do people think that deals for Walcott and or Moses will end our chances of getting hulk. This is because they are all rw players and I would prefer to get hulk and then buy Moses and loan him back to Wigan.

Though, it is good that we are interested in this type of player. In recent years Chelsea have lacked a flair player that can run at defences .

Jm10

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Didn't you say we would sign Hulk and that a fee has been agreed? Walking back your own BS now? Another Samir.

Agree0 Disagree0

In my Opinion we wont sign both Moses and Walcott i still think were chelsea to come to an agreement with porto Hulk would choose chelsea over Spurs and Man city, Walcott wouldnt move to be a squad player after playing at arsenal but moses would relish the chance at devoloping at a club like ours i think intrest is being shown in him has a squad player not has a starting 11 i still think the Hulk deal is more then likley But we shall all have to wait and see.

BlueBen

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate that last jm10 was not me. I have no sources and don't claim to have any. Just some person impersonating people

Jm10

Agree0 Disagree0

We have like 4 left wingers lol, think well sign moses and hulk still BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

As blueben said I can't imagine him coming in and playing as a squad member.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

You mention flair and players that can run at defences and then you go on to mention Walcott.....give me strength. Have you actually watched him play at all? He knocks the ball and uses his pace to outrun his marker, he has NO FLAIR, NO TRICKERY to run at defences and no intelligence to unlock defences.....if you are looking for a player to make things happen in the final third of the pitch, he's probably the worst player you could've picked, hence my question, have you actually watched him play at all?

Agree0 Disagree0

Chances are we are likely to play some lightning counter attacking football next year. If Hulk cant happen then id take Walcott like a shot for the right wing spot. Squads are about having different options, Mata and Hazard provide the technical brilliance, Marin would bring tricky wingplay and Theo would bring lightning pace. Theo sure has his faults and there parts of his game that are poor, but pace can certainly be a matchwinner
Chelsea Mole

Agree0 Disagree0

Counter attacking football? have you watched any of the Chbuselsea matches at all? Team park the bus against us, how in the hell are you going to deploy counter attacking football against teams like that? Some of the things that get suggested on here it's beyond a joke, enough respect to the eds, they have patience.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^ Im a season ticket holder home and away and have been since 92, Carlo's double winning season we reguarly played counter attack. Teams do park the bus at Stamford Bridge and of course it takes a mixture of patience and being quick and incesive when they do stray out of position. Away from home especially is where counter attack football is a big weapon. The game is about opinions

{Ed002's Note - The following players, plus no doubt others, have been of interest to Chelsea recently to one extent or another ranging from buying them (e.g. Marin) to simply enquiring of an agent but not a club (e.g. Giroud): Alba, Ananidze, Azpilicueta, Cavani, Cortes, Costa, Debuchy,, Doumbia, Dzagoev, Emmanuel, Eriksen, Falcao, Fernando, Ganso, Giovinco, Giroud, Goetze, Hamsik, Hazard, Higuain, Hulk, Ilicic, Inigo Martinez, Isla, Jovetic, Konoplyanka, Kovacic, Krasic, Lavezzi, Marin, Markovic, Moses, Moura, Moutinho, Muller, Muniain, Neymar, Ocampos, Oliveira, Patinho, Pernao, Piszczek, Reus, Ronan, Rondon, Schurrle, Susaeta, Van Der Wiel, Wallace, Wallace and Willian. Searching should find information on most and I really do not have the time to start fielding questions on them.}

Hi Ed's, Hi Guys

Ed's am I right in saying that at the beginning of last season Sam Hutchinson was given an 18 month contract after achieving a certain level of fitness. Was that an extension or does his contract end on the 1st January 2013.
With interest rising in Gregory van der Weil after a good world cup 2010 and then nose diving after a poor showing at euro 2012, supposed interest in Lukasz Piszczek & Mathieu Debuchy after a couple of decent performances at euro 2012 the only constant has been Cesar Azpilicueta.
I personally have never seen him play and know very little about him so would like to know if he is a lot better than a fit (hopefully) Sam Hutchinson. Sam, like Ivanovic can play centre back an right back. Unlike Ivanovic he is willing to play at right back every game.
If Sam can prove his fitness for the upcoming season surely it would be better for Chelsea to spend the money saved on other area's that need strengthening and include another player that has come through the youth system in the first team squad.

GMS {Ed002's Note - No - it is not possible to give 18 month contracts ending in January.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Thats all well and good but if sam has a problem during season there is nocover but ivanovic and he had a great season but he is not an out an out RB cover would still be needed especially with the amount of games we are going to have to play someof which will be bundled togther sams never had to play 5 or 6 games in a month i think the risk is a little high for not only the club but to also aggrovate any problems he may have still. maybe maicon is the answer to be the cover for him but i would still really liek to see ceaser hes very good if we brought him chelsea back four would be very formidable even the cover for each position would be of international standard.

Defiantly agree blue Ben! Cesar is a cracking player!

Theo Walcott, last year of his contract, i really think he would be a great addition to our squad, hes young, full of pace and a good finisher, a bid of £10m - £15m would secure his services surely. He is 100% better than Moses, hes quicker, he has a better goals to game ratio and assist to games ratio. Chelsea make the move.

PB

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Good finisher?!?! Theodore Walcott can barely cross, let alone finish. He would be good in the 100m at this year's Olympics but other than that he has a weak mentality, no tenacity, no cross, no finish. He's not really even that great a dribbler and his passing is ok. If he is cheap cheap, buy him as an English Kalou to help the English contingent and play as a supersub but not a first team player at Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just what I was gona say, Walcott couldn't finish he's dinner!

Agree0 Disagree0

Did he not score against us ,?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pace yes but moses is a better finisher ive only ever seen walcott have two good games and its not like he dosent have good players around him he isnt worth the 15 mil it would cost. moses has more potential in my opinion.

BlueBen

BlueBen

Agree0 Disagree0

Walcot is not a better player to Moses,forget the fact that he scored against us he is not Chelsea kind of player.he is injury clone .

pure

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but ,did he score against us,cant be that bad then....

06 Jul 2012 10:07:34
Really not been keen on Walcott but if he wants to leave and we wouldn't pay over odds I think it could be good, personally don't think Chelsea have been interested for him but we will see, arsenal seriously on way down

Eds any news on shevchenko coming in as part of youth setup. Also can you clear up the Modric situation as you keep writing ?? So have we ever or are we looking more likely to be making a bid for him. I prefer Modric to hulk, with ramires playing a wide right.
Ins: Modric,Moses,fellani,maicon.
Personally I would like everyone to stay,giving us a very strong squad.

NWBLUE {Ed002's Note - I think Shevchenko has a number of options to mull over.}

Now arsenal are turning their attentions away from M'Villa I believe we should make a attempt to sign him. As we could use Essien to sweeten the deal.
Just a thought.
Lunchbox

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Essien - never let him go

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not? he hardll ever plays and is injury prone. Dont need another defensive midfielder though, i reckon we ought to play Luiz there instead of a center back role.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if Essien doesn't play much he is still vital behind the scenes to add experience to the squad. MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol then he ought to retire and become a coach, dont think the boardroom and Abramovic would see it that way.

Agree0 Disagree0

They may not, RDM would. MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Essien a solid player, but not world class and not creative enough, would prefer mvilla

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you just say that essien ewas not a world class player have you just became a chelsea fan or have you just forgoten essien 2 years ago before his injury? he was one of the BEST players to ever play for chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was means he isnt now, got to stop living in the past and move on. Essien was great but since that injury he has become more prone to it and hardley gets to play, dont need sick notes at the club we need players fit and ready.

Walcott ready to leave Arsenal. Chelsea are longterm admirers and are looking for a homegrown player. Moses or Walcott?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Moses 100%....Walcott...is pony! Kakuta, De Bruyne are better than him! But I am a big admirer of Moses...when wigan came to the bridge last year...is was quality threatening on his tod! a right handful!

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither! Got Sturridge. MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather have a pony instead of sturridge. A pony may actually know how to pass a ball. Torres would of got so many more goal last term if he would of passed. You see him on the replays when Torres scores he looks pis*ed because he knows he wont get In front of him. not a team player what so ever.

It seems like we might lose lampard after he was seen watching la galaxy with David Beckham instead of training with the rest of the players that did not play in the euro. I hope he stays but he's been a legend and a hero for chelsea.

Blue con {Ed002's Note - Lampard has been injured.}

Believable3 Unbelievable7

He cant watch a game while on holiday with an old england team mate? He wont go this year prob next
Carefree

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont get why the rest of the team are back training (apart from those who took part in the euros) and lampard who has been off since he found he was injured instead of working on rehab back home with the team.what makes him so special that he gets the extended holiday over everyone else?? {Ed002's Note - Those at the Olympics are not back either. There is nothing to be read in to it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind too much if Lamps did leave, we built our squard around him, now I think its time to build around Mata!

Ed002 or Ed018 are Chelsea interested in Kevin Gameiro or have looked at the player? He looks like the kind of forward they would be interested in with his versatility. {Ed002's Note - No.}
