A lot of reports think llorente will be our first signing. Makes sense as batman will be able to get a loan as he's not getting any game time as costas on fire.

If batshuayi's abiltys are valued lower than a player like llorentes than I would just leave if I was him.

What a noncence rumour makes no sense whatsoever, batshuayi will get his chance at Chelsea I'm sure and I'm hoping he goes and proves a point against Peterborough on Sunday!

I think it's more that he's not getting enough minutes as costas backup. So maybe a loan until end of season is a chance for the club to see bats play regular in premier league not necessarily saying he's not good enough but Costa is on fire

So the club would bring in a bang average striker on the wrong side of 30 and probably demanding a fairly decent wage just so they can send Batshuayi out on loan? I doubt it!

Well bats needs to play to improve, so it makes good sense if Swansea or anyone play him all the time.

Well he's starting today so hopefully he shows enough to convince Conte he's worth more minutes in the premier league games.
Costa's in great form but who's to say he won't get suspended or injured in the not to distant future. I know for me personally I would rather have a young and hungry, rising star like Batshuayi stepping up to the starting line up over a past it and bang average striker like Llorente!
Llorente is no where near good enough for the Chelsea first team let alone the bench. The fact that his name is being brought up is just laughable!

Batshuayi needs full games, not substitute appearances with 15 or 20 mins here and there. Playing week in week out would be great for his development.

Llorente coming the other way would purely be for cover in case of injury to Costa, even then I doubt he'd be used. I'm sure Conte would be more than happy to play a front 3 of Willian, Pedro and Hazard.

So the club should waste transfer money on a player you doubt will even be used?
The whole thing seems really dumb to me, Batshuayi will get game time. He is young and new to the club so he was never going to be a starter over Costa and I'm sure he new that when he joined.
If we loan him out and sign Llorente and Costa gets injured then I'm betting the first people moaning will be the same people who thought this supposed "deal" was a good idea in the first place. Llorente is not good enough to play for Chelsea end of!
Honesty I think it's aload of bs personally, I can't imagine someone at the club would sanction such a pointless transfer. And after reading that the "sky sports source" is guillem balague than I rate its credibility even less!

i find it so hard to believe that people don't think that batshuayi becoming the main striker in a team that needs goals and we get someone to warm the bench is a good move.

If Batshuayi leaves then it will seriously weaken our attacking options. I would certainly be more confident going into the second half of the season with Batshuayi as backup over Llorente.
I think some people on here are very naive thinking that we can afford to loan in a second rate striker just to sit on the bench for the rest of the season. Costa hasn't played a full season yet for Chelsea without interruption whether it be through injury or suspension, so who's to say he will be fit to play every game till the season ends. If something happens to Diego and the only option we have upfront is Llorente we will be screwed!
To win a title you need a strong squad with strength in depth and loaning out Bats and replacing him with Llorente would be a terrible move in my eyes!

Ed, thanks again for the Sharkopod. We truly cannot thank you enough. You're a legend already! ;-)

I was wondering though about one thing. Benjamin Henrichs was mentioned (Leverkusen's fullback) . It was mentioned that he'd been looked at. But would we look to get a deal done for him in the summer for example, or is being looked at all there is to it for now? I mean, do the club actually want to acquire him or have they simply taken a look at him and nothing more than that?

Sorry if this question doesn't make any sense. I'm typing this up hastily as I have to leave now!
Have a great day, Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Try not to over-complicate matters - looked at but no approach made as the player made it known he doesn't want to leave Bayer Leverkusen to be on the bench at an English side.}

Wise decision by him I guess. Though I reckon he'd be a better wingback than Moses actually.
