Courtois also said that contract talks will commence again this month!
I think and hope he will stay.

TC didn't talk about leaving and it dint sound like a come and get me plea. he stated facts about this family being in Madrid and where his talks with Chelsea FC regarding a new contract stands.

We choose how we want to see things. i did find nothing wrong in what TC stated.

Be Positive guys.

if he goes he goes
i have a funny feeling the club might get another goalkeeper if he did. just a hunch
we cannot expect to keep the best players all the time, there is circumstances to all players they are not born to stay at our club at all costs
things happen boys whether we like it or not.
and if he is staying he needs to shut his mouth why exactly king frank is he not allowed to talk about anything else except chelsea come on mate do you not talk about other work places.

lol why do players have to love the club its a job not a cult
do you walk around talking about how much you love your employers on a constant basis kissing your uniform walking around your work when you have a good day
your right king frank it isn't rocket science that's why i get it
but yet sadly you can't grasp simple facts
he has a contract of employment for a certain time
he gets paid for his half of the agreement
end of

i bet it doesn't say on his terms and conditions
"you have to love the club or we will terminate your employment"
does youw employment contract say that

he is simply positioning himself to better his new contract whether that is with us or real or whoever
hes not going to announce his undyling love for chelsea while he is trying to get himself a better deal is he
he is putting feelers out to see what will be the best deal for him not cfc not real not rochdale for himself that is what modern day footballers do
there not in it for the club, they are in it for themselves same as 99.9%of employees around the world
its not rocket science king frank.

I still think De Gea will go Madrid, and tbh De Gea for me he is the best in the world, plus being Spanish.
Courtios is quality but not world class.

Massive clearance needed. Conte needs to play Ampadu regularly and use Hudson-Odoi more often. Young players will play their heart out if given the chance. The quicker Christensen is back the better.

The board should step back and reflect before making the decision to sack Antonio Conte. It is clear some of the players are not playing for him at the moment. However, we need to change our ways for the better of the club. This 'player power' issue needs to be eradicated. Also this stigma of 'sacking managers' as soon as the going gets tough needs to be removed permanently. Disgusting traits and uneccessary pressure for the coach. Us fans get carried away like most of us did yesterday but after all we are fans and the board should know more than us and be able to deal with matters better.

Carragher summed it up yesterday, liverpool can have 3 or 4 bad results in a row but there is never the talk of sacking the manager but Chelsea on the hand based on their history will sack the manager. Hence why this never happens to any other club but us, the media literally jump on it and wait for Chelsea to lose games in a row because putting pressure on a chelsea manager is always headline news. Same thing happened when we lost to Arsenal and Liverpool last year.

Whether or not Antonio Conte is the right man or not for the future isn't the point here. However, he was terrific last year and did play some really good stuff with the team at the start of the year. This is a learning curve for him and hopefully he learns from all the mistakes his made. You can't be a bad coach if you have won the premier league.

This is a perfect opportunity for the board to sort out the 'player power' issue and the 'sacking' stigma. History would usually dictate that Chelsea sack the manager and replace him with an interim manager. However this sends out the wrong message. Conte should be given time to address the decline and as a coach we cannot hear him say any longer that he made mistakes with the starting 11. He needs to play players that want to play for him and the fans and he should use Ampadu and Odoi more regularly. However, if he doesn't change after yesterdays mauling and continues to make mistakes by selecting Cahill, Baka etc then his sealing his own fate and should be disposed of.

I hope the board do the right thing as it would be for the better of the club for the long run. Every coach in the world will go through bad bad phases in life but we have to give them time to sort the issues out.

out of 30 points we can only muster 11 points! meaning in the last ten games played we only won 2 and lost 3 and drew 5. this is only usually good enough for a 15th placed team. it is not good enough for a Top 4 team, it is not only losing the last two games, the writing has been on the wall for a while now.

Okay, so the club is clearly in a bit of a sticky situation at the moment. Nobody needs to be told that. We've seen this on numerous occasions since the club was purchased by Mr Abramovich. Mourinho in 2007, Scolari in 2009, Villas-Boas in 2012, Mourinho again in 2015 and now with Conte. I would say the situation with Ancelotti and others was slightly different.

I'm as unhappy as the next Chelsea fan but I just cannot understand the criticism some people are throwing out there. All of a sudden people are criticising Victor Moses, Marcos Alonso, Ross Barkley (who has played been at the club for a matter of weeks) . Yes there are players who maybe aren't cut out for Premier League football and maybe need to move on, but people have a very short memory in football today.

Get behind these players instead of booing them off the pitch. When has that ever been productive?! It's times like this where I almost wish we were at the level we were at in the 90's, where we could enjoy the football without having the pressures of having to win silverware every season. The days of Zola, Poyet, Petrescu and Leboeuf were fantastic!

I know a lot of us here were really annoyed given the last result. A lot of negative comments including myself. I guess we all want our club to win so badly and its clear the players have stopped playing for the coach. You cannot become really poor overnight. Only last month against Arsenal in the 2-2 we looked good.

I think it would be best for the club for the first time in their history to really back their coach. I know this would be unpopular with many on here right now but if player power really is an issue then they must stamp it out and this is the best way to act.

Also this sacking stigma needs to go away from out club it affects managers and players. Conte yesterday said player power wasn't an issue at the club but then he went on to say that when he was a Juventus Player and captain he never went behind the managers back to the superiors to complain and never did want to get involved. Is this a hint to some players?

Going forward Conte did say he made mistakes with the starting 11, I am hoping he learns and just uses players that back him now.

This site is becoming too poisonous, the team weren't good last night, but the sending off was harsh and everything else was as a result.

Conte needs to be more of a positive influence, and he'll probably go at the end of the season but that's not a reason to slag off all the players, many of whom have been stand up for seasons.

{Ed002's Note - It is the ignorance of the modern day fan Nath. The majority who do nothing but abuse players, the coach and the board know nothing whatsoever about the club or what is going on. It is absolutely laughable and getting more and more embarrassing. They are happy to drag the site down and will go elsewhere after they have been removed from here.}

06 Feb 2018 09:10:56
Ed02 I agree, albeit your return in the summer might change the emphasis of this site? It used to be excellent. Any chance?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - It is not worth it Nath. My explaining what has been going on and what is still going on regarding transfers will simply result in abuse.}

06 Feb 2018 09:17:39
Okay ed, for what it's worth there's still plenty on the other rumours sites to enjoy.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Good.}

06 Feb 2018 09:31:01
Nath, I agree that no supporter should be slagging off players (or Ed002) unless that player is obviously not trying. But I don't think the sending off dramatically changed the game last night - we were being overrun by Watford anyway and didn't look as if we had any idea as how to counter them. Babayoko needs to be sidelined for his own sake - his confidence is so obviously shattered that to play him is just extending his nightmare - Bakayoko's evening consisted of 7 touches, 7 times lost possession, and 2 bookings (both harsh by the way but that's Mike Dean for you) .

06 Feb 2018 09:34:35
Ed002 what is going on at our club

I know you don't want to divulge in transfers but why are we so clueless as to what's going on
Why not tell us is there something major going on or not
I don't want to be rude but you have attacked us on here a couple of times now in the last week
Why not give us mere mortals some insight to what's going on and shut us all up
The site works both ways and could make us more insightful and less negative with snippets of info t.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have zero interest in explaining what is going on with the club or any other transfer information. The Chelsea page has been completely consumed by the vegetables now, as was evidenced from the trash filling the pages last night - and most of it was actually deleted rather than posted.}

I think as fans we all tend to overreact when results are poor, however I cannot understand why so many fans want Conte out, remember how both Mourinho and Guardiola did last season in the league and how well they are both doing now. That comes from sticking with your managers when things are hard. Football works in cycles and you have to have faith that things will get better. They usually do.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Feb 2018 13:09:56
With all due respect Ed002 and I stand corrected; I feel that fans will continue to be ignorant of what happens at the club but like the board and the coach, fans also want good results. It's not right for any fan to talk bad of the coach or the board when the club is in a situation- but like the coach or board will try to remedy a bad situation at the club: A fan feels he can change the situation by talking (which can sometimes end up hurting the coach or the board) .

The coach, the board and the fans are all trying to protect their happiness but their approach are all different. So I won't blame the fans completely cos all the marathon is to entertain them and when you scratch a man where he doesn't feel itchy, most times they react.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - And that may be true but it is not like that on these pages - all of the toxic ignorant morons do no more than troll the site.}

06 Feb 2018 13:14:18
MDW I tend to agree with you on most things and yes Baka could benefit from a rest. He was poor last night.

But slating Cahill etc is shameful and pointless.

We'll be back, we're still top four and there will be a plan in place.

I have read above, however I feel some of the players last night were very poor. Not only in there play but attitude. That being the case we as supporters should be able to be critical
The trouble is people post in anger ie having just watched what can be called an abysmal performance. So they react and maybe go over the top with there posts. But some of the performances last night were nothing short of awful.
Suffice to say players need to look at themselves and possibly have a team meeting and sort it.
The problem is there isn’t a JT or Frank to take hold of them, I think that is part of the problem. They would not have tolerated the last two performances.

As frustrated as I was last night and in a lot of performances this season and conte seeming to take dogs at everyone at club. if players knew hat he is staying and they would be cashed in then maybe . maybe things would be better, it’s the cycle of the club and will happen to the next manager and one after.

Conte is a Genius but like every genius he is a bit mad- Pirlo

Conte is great at building teams and winning titles but when things don't go his ways he becomes bit eccentric.
This has always been his problem in the past. In Juventus he famously quoted " you can't dine in $100 restaurant wearing $10 suit". This was said criticising juventus 's lack of spending. Two days after he parted ways.

Now similar story is playing out at Chelsea. He is disgruntled with mediocre buying of the board. Having said that we all know the spending power of Chelsea is greatly reduced by this so called financial Prudence. The club now clearly want to buy young players cheap and sell on a profit. Hence the bakayoko, Barkley, Emerson etc.

I am following Chelsea since 1999 and can't comment on the era before that. But this Chelsea side is used to winning and I can't fathom the lackluster attitude of players. Losing is fine but not trying to win is .

Squad needs rejuvenation and motivation. I am not sure Conte can do that but if he turns this around then I am sure we will achieve something great this season. A champions league perhaps😀 hey a fan can always wish.

Sorry for the long post.

PS: I am not a troll😂.

Unbelievable. Conte unfortunately has to go. I said the other day when you have Cahill and Baka in the same team then you are literally paralysed given that you have two players who can't pass. Conte keeps playing them, the man probably wants to get sacked.

With Conte going out, hopefully we don't see Cahill and Moses. These two are so damn shxt. As for Baka, boy if he is a footballer then I am too.

Moses
Cahill
Zappacosta
Baka
Drinkwater
Pedro

Above need out!

06 Feb 2018 20:56:43
What frustrated me about moses was his lethargic jog for watfords 2nd goal. He didn't look like someone who wanted to put himself on the line in face of danger. Fabregas did the same too. Unfortunately for Cahill, the mans heart is in the right place but as a footballer he never was good positionally or even quick. He isn't chelsea quality.

Cahill always plays like a fan. His heart is in it but his playing style has its limitations.

Typical English defender . great blocking shots but poor in passing, pace and tactical discipline.

06 Feb 2018 00:00:26
That should be Conte gone now. I feel for the guy for what he's done here, and for it to go like this is heartbreaking but he only has himself to blame. Kept selecting Bakayoko when he hasn't performed all season as well as Pedro and Cahill. Plays 7 defensive players twice in the space on a week against two average mid table teams. People can blame the board for not being able to compete against City and such yes. But not being able to compete against teams like Bournemouth and Watford is completely unacceptable and that's down to Conte.

These games weren't even close, we got completely outplayed on both games, yes they shouldn't of had the penalty but it was fully deserved. Our team should be good enough to beat these teams, but the way we set up against them is utterly embaressing. Not only do teams know how to play against us, we ALLOW them to play. Things need to change because we're not finishing top 4 with the way it's going. And with the summer we need to rebuild this team. top 4 is crucial for us.

Luiz?

06 Feb 2018 03:43:37
Would like Baka to be given another year but just not in the starting line-up. Zappa is an ok back up and with Fabregas it completely depends on who our next manager will be. If we get a attacking minded manager, keep him. If we get another counter attacking style manager then sell him. Agree with the rest though. I'm more looking forward to the summer transfer window than any of our remaining games now. We have to do soo much bussiness that it'll be interesting to see who's brought in.

Agreed LondonBlues - Bakayoko needs to be taken out of the firing line for his own good - he is only young and has the potential to be exceptional - maybe a year on loan in the Prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2018 19:12:57
MDW: What potential has Bayakoko shown that would make him possibly exceptional? He is potentially a complete waste of money, he doesn't even look like a footballer, just an athletic bloke chasing a leather ball about.

This will be unpopular. Antonio hasn't helped himself with his team selection at all this season but he's still the best manager we've had since Carlo. I'm Conte IN as I don't believe in sacking managers all the time. Firstly start with the toxic board at our club. Let's bring a director in who knows the club and what we're about and what the fans want to see.

Then get rid of all the garbage this summer and I mean be absolutely ruthless in doing so. Get rid of Cahill, Luiz, Moses, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Fabregas, Willian and Pedro as they're either not good enough or declining.

Players I'm not impressed with and are on second chances before possibly being shipped off are Alonso, Barkley and Morata although I may be sounding harsh on Barkley there. Van Ginkel and Loftus-Cheek are both far better players than Drinkwater and Bakayoko so why aren't they in the squad instead? CHO has shown more in two cameos than what Pedro has shown all season.

Lastly as I've said I want Conte in but I think it's obvious the board will sack him and if they do I won't be going down to watch the Chels unless something drastically changes. But Tuchel, Sarri or Luis Enrique won't make a difference. I'd actually like to see Jody Morris in charge instead as he knows what the club is about. Sorry for the rant.
