Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola wants Roberto di Matteo's job at Chelsea.
The Daily Mail says Guardiola wants to be the next manager of Chelsea.
The former Barcelona boss plans to return to the game next summer and has made it clear to friends he sees his future at Stamford Bridge.

Any Truth in this Ed?:) {Ed018's Note - i wouldn't buy into this to much}

Is there any chance of us going back in for Schurrle? I know Leverkusen were adamant in the summer but I wonder if they'd be more likely to entertain a bid in January. Falcao is a long shot for January, and with Sturridge unlikely to sign a new contract, we desperately need reinforcements. Are there any targets we've seriously looked at? Thanks =]

There has been talk of Jackson Martinez

Dont see the fascination with Schurrle he has hardly scored this season and he's not an out an out striker i'd prefer Pato who's quick and skillfull better suited to the prem

Agree0 Disagree1

Pato are you joking ?
He's been injured for the majority of the past two seasons.

Agree1 Disagree0

Pato been injured for 2 years - james13

If you're going to take a punt on an injured player i'd much rather go for Rossi.

Ed 002 Given the strikers Athletico are considering, do you think Falcao will move clubs in January ?
If so who where do you think his most likely destination will be?
Many thanks. {Ed002's Note - They do not wish to sell in January.}

ED002 do the club not see signing a centre mid as a priority we are short in that area? {Ed002's Note - The priority is a striker.}

Just read Guardiola's is ready to coach again and might be as early as in january and, Chelsea, City and Bayern Munich are his preferred options, is there any truth in this? if so we got quite a good shot on it looking at the other clubs had their manager for quite a while now, and reached great things with it, ManC is not doing too great tho.

I wouldnt want guardiaola. he is a bad manager, he is more of a philosopher than a manager. and to be far a 6 year old can manage barcelona and win titles.
