Kramaric going for a medical at Leicester so I guess we didn't sort out those issues with his father

{Ed002's Note - I gave an update on the Leicester page over the weekend - it should still be there if you want to take a look.}
Hi Ed, I don't know if I am being blind but can't see it on the Leicester page.

Ed 002 Do we have an option to buy him from Leicester or is this a straightforward transfer?
Thanks

There are rumours that we are involved somehow, similar to markovic

Hi Ed,
I know that Varane has been on Chelsea's radar for a while now. Do you believe that Real Madrid would allow him to leave in the Summer or are they determined to hold onto him?
Many thanks,
Steve

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea maintain their interest and there is a chance a deal can be done. There have already been a number of discussions about him, at one time involving another player.}

Ed if he did come and that's a big IF would that be Terry's replacement or would someone like Ivanovic or Cahill move on?

{Ed002's Note - It really doesn't work like that.}
Many thanks for the clarification Ed.
I can well imagine a Zouma/Varane partnership for France in the near future. if there would be a possibility of that happening at Chelsea too that'd be amazing.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously Terry is getting older and his future will inevitably involve less games. The club are balancing this against the cost of installing stair lifts.}
Haha. I could just see there being a commercial sponsor for the stairlifts.
Cheers Ed!

At what point does Varane get sick of starting so little games for Madrid and realise that he'd be an integral part of our team? I'm guessing that Jose loves Varane so he'd certainly have his trust and play a lot of games.
Also as Ed stated, Terry isn't getting any younger and won't be able to keep playing every game.
It's not just that Varane is really really good, it's also that he's a near perfect fit.

Jackson, I remember an interview with Zouma saying how impressed he'd been with how Varane had developed under Mourinho and that he was hoping for the same kind of progression himself at Chelsea. A Zouma / Varane partnership is definitely a fantastic prospect. keeping Omeruo, Kalas, Christensen, Aina, etc. onside would be an interesting challenge.

I want to see our own players make it as well, I really do. Guys like Kalas, Omeruo and Christensen, I want them to succeed.
However, if there's a chance of getting Varane we have to get him! He's an exceptional defender already and none of our own young players have played at the level he's played. If it's a possibility then he's a must IMO :)
Kalas seems like a good choice to take over Ivanovic' role in the team and Christensen is still young. They can't all make it, and too much talent is never a disaster ;-)

Is it only me that would love to see mats hummles?

Can't speak for anyone else but I'm not a fan of Hummels. Not mobile enough IMO and he's never looked very good when I've seen him play.

Hummels is so ovverated. Very unimpressed in him.
Pls get varane haha

I shall not mention my admiration of hummles again (crawls slowly back in cave) haha

Ha it's just that when I've watched him he's been poor.
Pretty sure he's united first choice target though

Ed002 what's the latest on Rabiot?

{Ed002's Note - Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea enquired about Rabiot in 2013 and PSG were not keen to sell. Chelsea and Arsenal both enquired again in the summer of 2014 but would see him as one for the future and neither will commit to the guarantee of first team football that was being requested by the player. Rabiot has been bleating about not being in the first team at PSG and a move to Arsenal or Chelsea would not resolve that in the short term. However, Spurs, Newcastle and Manchester City have him watched and Spurs are keen on taking him on a loan to buy deal - although a loan only deal would be more likely if a deal can be done at all. A loan to St-Et or Italy remain possible options for January but Italian sides are backing away due to the request for a guarantee of playing time. PSG also have an issue with another player that is pushing the manager in to keeping Rabiot for the rest of the year.}
