Hi ED002, Happy Easter to you. I appreciate you have explained the situation in previous posts regarding Raphael Varane.
If you don't mind, could I ask you, would Real Madrid sell him to Chelsea?I ask this due to his potential and their current limited options at centre back, combined with the cost of sourcing a replacement such as Laporte?
Also, with Ancelotti's situation, will Varane's future be dependant on the coach?If Zidane took over would he want Varane to stay at all costs considering his role in bringing him to the club.
I just wanted to ask you, if you don't mind taking the time.

Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - Players come and go all of the time - Chelsea would like to buy Varane. It is nothing to do with their coach.}

Considering the sustained interest in the player from Chelsea over a long period of time and the efforts being made by the club to make to deal happen, on the balance of probability could Chelsea's desire to buy Varane come to fruition in the summer ED002 as things stand.

Thanks ED002.

{Ed002's Note - Of course it could.}

Is it then likely that he will arrive in the summer ED002 as things stand?
Sorry for annoying you.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation over and over.}

I apologise ED002 for asking you the same question as many have done.
I am only asking due to the fact I would be delighted if the club could sign Varane.

Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions.

Any Update on Chelsea interest in Dybala or Icardi? Has all interest for Reus gone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The situation remains unchanged that the preference is for Icardi with Dybala one option. I explained that Chelsea were offered Reus in exchange for Schurrle but declined as there was an issue that could not be resolved.}

Instead we got cuadrado instead! Not sure about Chelsea transfers recently. Salah not really given a chance and we seem intent on buying mid twentys wingers who don't seem to assist or score much! I will be furious if we sign Douglas Costa. Don't even get me started on Luis.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea would not take Reus under the circumstances. Salah did not settle in England - the club wanted to keep him but it simply did not work out. There is a very good chance Costa will replace him.}

Hi Ed, are Chelsea interested in Jose Gaya? And would Chelsea consider letting Felipe luis go after only a season? Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am aware of interest in Gaya from elsewhere but am not aware of any Chelsea interest. If FL wants to leave the club would not stand in his way.}

Damn I sure hope that when Gaya moves on that Chelsea are interested then. I haven't really seen him play many games but most frequent observers of La Liga that I've spoken to say that Gaya has been the best left back in Spain this season. To think he's only 19 or so, it's crazy. Really hope the club decide to pursue him in the end.

Ed, there are papers, Catalan based ones, stating that the battle for Pogba's signature is between Barcelona and Chelsea. My question is more of a general one as said papers are saying Barcelona are planning on signing Pogba in the summer and loaning him back to Juventus for a season to get around their transfer ban.

Is this allowed or is it simple fabrication by the Catalan press. It'd seem unfair for them to be able to sign players now even if they are't joining/playing for them till 2016!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - What Barcelona has been proposing is lending players to clubs for free in order to defer transfers.}

Seems a ridiculous circumvention of an imposed ban.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The ban does not prevent Barcelona selling - and there is no ban on loaning players out. They know that they will do better to buy and sell in the summer, and whilst they may sell this summer they cannot by - which means they have to find away to defer the transfers whilst keeping the selling clubs happy for a few months.}
