Comments made by Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben have left Chelsea considering a surprise move to re-sign their former wide-man. Sportingo reports that Carlo Ancelotti may look to snap up the Dutch international as the Italian looks to freshen up his attack after a stop start season.
The 27 year old former Blues favourite has stated in a recent interview.
I have always said that I do not want to play in the Europa League. Bayern Munich are a team that absolutely have to play in the Champions League.
This has to led to some believing that the talented attacker may be interested in a move away from the Allianz Arena, not least because the Bavarian side sit in third spot, just one point from the Europa League spots and a mile away from runaway Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea are reportedly set for something of a clear-out at the end of the season as Ancelotti and owner Roman Abramovich look to reshape the side. Some senior stars may be sold in order to assist the rebuilding process with the likes of Florent Malouda, Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Paulo Ferreira strongly linked with Stamford Bridge exits.
Ancelotti is looking to bring in new creative wide options to help provide the ammunition for his front-men and is therefore being linked with moves to bring Arjen Robben back to the club he represented for three seasons. During his time at the club, from 2004 to 2007, Chelsea won two Premier League crowns as well as a host of other domestic triumphs before he left for an ill fated spell at Real Madrid.
Bayern Munich have been quick to state their intentions to keep Robben at the club but given that the club s current boss Louis Van Gaal will be replaced in the summer by veteran Jupp Heynckes it seems that period of instability at the club may well be tested by Chelsea. Thoughts ed?
TALRD BITC {Ed001's Note - Ancelotti is not picking the players to be signed by the club, he even admitted that in January. That alone tells me it is a simple case of a journalist fabricating a story out of nothing.}

Frank Lampard will have one more season, with the Blues. But with the financial restrictions imposed on transers soon, Abramovich is keen to do most of the signings this summer.
Pastore from Palermo is still the number one long term replacement for 'Lamps', but other possibilities are Hamsik from Napoli and Fellani from Everton.

Chelsea are trying to pull out all the stops to bring Neymar in this summer, even if it means loaning back to Santos for a season, otherwise Chelsea realize Madrid or Barcelona will lure him away. .

With doubts over Kalou and Malouda, Payet from St.Ettiene and Pato from Milan are targets this summer.

Chelsea also believe a deal will be done for Ajax right-back Van der Wiel and they are also considering another center-back. With Bruma expected to go back out on loan, Mancienne sold, and long term injury concerns over Alex and JT. Offers could be made for Subbotic of Dortmund or Mexes from Roma.

If Carlo is still at the helm next season, then Pirlo on a free will happen. Not just for expereience in big games, but as a sounding board on the training ground. .someone he can talk to which he feels he hasn't got since the departure of Wilkins.

Ed if ancelotti goes then will the next manager be bought in for the long term {Ed002's Note - The answer is the same as every other day - I am not willing to discuss the managerial situation until everything is a little clearer. Until then it will just be speculation.}

Lampard has ben a fantastic player and I will be gutted to see him leave, I can't see a replacment for him he has scored vital goals and up untill this season never got injured, yes his wages are high but they are high for a reason. {Ed002's Note - But he is also of an age where a replacement needs to be sought. Injuries are taking their toll and Chelsea do not have anyone who can step up to take over. I would expect to see a replacement this summer, perhaps next if no one can be found. Pastore and Ganso have been looked at. Gourcuff has also been looked at, as has Dzagoev. The club are certainly serious about finding a replacement.}

So where would he go
you don't just get rid of a legend like that
and if he goes who will be the replacement
hamsik or pastore or someone elsea {Ed001's Note - I have no idea, I have just been told that the replacement being sought is intended to be an immediate replacement. It was a surprise to me, I thought he had a few more years left at Chelsea myself.}

Ed which players will be leaving
i think they will be
anelka
malouda
drogba
hilario
bosingwa
mikel

i would of added kalou but hes a player that don't moan about sitting on bench
zhirkov, ferreira and benayoun are maybes {Ed001's Note - I think Lampard is also very possible, not sure what is the reasoning behind it. It could well be that his medicals have thrown up a long term issue or just because his wages are so ludicrously high and the FFP rules are coming into force, but I do believe his time is coming to an end and a replacement is wanted this summer.}

Ayo Ed, who would you prefer Villas Boas or Mourinho. Boa has already won the league before it ever finished. He blew Mourinho's record out of the water. 36 unbeaten run compare to Mourinho 33. He also plays attacking football which Mourinho doesn't. The only thing I don't know about Boa is, does he give youngsters a chance or does he prefers buying? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to comment on the managerial position at Chelsea just yet.}
