Alright ed?

You mentioned before when listing all the players with their interest from clubs and if they may be leaving.

You mentioned that Napoli 'broadly' struck a deal with Porto twice about Jackson Martinez. Does this have anything to do with out interest in Higuain and if he may be leaving.

Thanks

Marca are reporting that arsenal have activated Diego costa's buy out clause. Any truth ed? And if so and he wanted to leave (which I'm sure we think is doubtful in a WC year), would be interested at 32m quoted in press?

{Ed002's Note - I would not get too wrapped up in it just now.}

Okay great thanks Ed. Much appreciated, as always! Great work on here

Ed 002 Jose just said 100% no new strikers in Jan. Would you agree or is he teasing us again do you think?
Thanks
Stuart

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea have an interest in bringing a striker to the club but they will wait for the right player at the right price.}

Ed, wondered if you could elaborate on part of this slightly;

In terms of availability and price, is it safe to say the club has its targets and has registered interest previously - so in terms of availability it would be down to the agent letting the club know he fancied a move before anything was initiated? I'm thinking the FT transfer for example.

The follow up question is whether any of the targets are potentially "available" in this winter window or not?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea have declared in an interest in a number of players and in some cases have tried to negotiate a deal.

Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.}

Ed 0002 Do you think we will sign Guarin in Jan?
Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Not at the price being asked.}
