Run a pub just outside London, customer of mine has a mate working at the bridge, apparantly hidden away not wanting to be seen today was none other than Carlos Tevez.

I know it sounds like a I know someones brothers aunt who saw so and so but I have every reason to believe it is true. Doesn't mean anything will come of it of course but might be worth keeping an eye on.....

De bruyne has just said he will go out on loan next season too. I can understand getting him for next season, but buying him for 2013/14 season? 9m seems a lot for that timescale. As happy as i am seeing them build for the future, I'd rather start buying young players we can put into the squad now, or at least next season. Any thoughts?

It was the same for Courtois and look at how quickly he is develping in a better league than the Belgian league. I don't think it's a bad thing by any means.

His development won't be a bad thing. But I do have slight concerns over the lack of strength being added to the 1st Team squad right now. A big summer transfer window ahead I feel.

Big push to retain CL football and everything will be looking good next season.

It is a wise decision by all means. Although what frustrates you and probably most of us is the way develop youth. We just rely on other teams to do our job, while playing the great players of seasons past. I can't believe we do this business.

Quite frankly we will see Drogba, Bosingwa, Kalou, Malouda, Ferreira, possibly Obi Mikel, Benayoun leave the club. At least 4 of those are definite. And you wont replace them with noneexistant youngsters, you need a proper first teamers to achieve the goals the board are setting.

We will have to invest massive amount of funds in the summer and try gelling a new team. Why can't we do it gradually is beyond me.

To buy a 20 year old that would be ready to play in the first team now you are looking at spending a huge amount of money, and you are also competing with the elite Eurpoean clubs. Romeu was an exception but the deal included a clause that would allow him to move back to Barca, if they wanted him and if he wanted to go back (which I'm sure he will at some point in the future). This is a good deal if you bear all this in mind. The kid has talent, he has played nearly 100 games for Genk winning the Juliper league, and playing champions league football (albeit only 4 games) in process. The club need to be looking at these kind of players because we can't go around shelling out 40 million Euros on every player we buy. It just won't work. Pass judgement on him after a preseason with the First team and a year on loan with a decent side, not on the day he signs for the club. I'm sure in the summer Chelsea will look to bring in players of the Calibre of Hazard or Gotze, but the market right now favours the clubs with the talent to sell, not those with the money to buy it.

Ed Has Chelsea Eva been intrested in m'villa? {Ed002's Note - Inter, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Genoa and perhaps Liverpool & Chelsea showed an interest or enquired about M'Vila this past summer. M'Vila will almost certainly not move until next summer. A significant bid from Manchester City has already been turned down. With that offer that was made for M'Vila in the summer Rennes have upped their valuation of the player to an extent where Creachcadec has said no Italian team can aford M'Vila. I would expect that there may be interest in him from PSG, Barcelona and possibly Real Madrid by the time he comes up for sale in the summer. I would be astonished if M'Vila moved in January, but his agent is telling clubs that there is a clause in his contract that can invoke a release for a single 20M euro payment to Rennes and then he is looking to negotiate a signing on fee as well.}
