Ed, i read that there is currently no interest in Neymar, if other clubs became interested in him and started to place bids do you think this would relight interest? have Chelsea Considered buying a percentage of the Neymar rights and let him keep playing in brazil till its time for him to move?

One Bomb Tom {Ed018's Note - there would be no move to buying a percentage of Neymar}

Hi ED :)

Anything new on Chelsea and Cavani? He is a perfect fit for Chelsea is he not?
Would also love to see Moses (young attacking, exciting, direct) and Azpilicueta (young, brilliant in defence/ did a job on Messi a number of times for Osasuna) {Ed018's Note - nothing new right now}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I dont think is perfect for chelsea. i think torres or falcao are. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree1

Agreed BlueBoy. Cavani favours a more direct style of play and he isn't as technically good as say a Falcao.
MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea and we are moving on from that now, im not convinced cavani would work half aswell as falcao would. i honestly think our number 9 will do well this season. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon cavani is more suited to the style of play that chelsea are looking for, like he's quicker that falcao and falcao is good at holding the ball up so he's the one more likely to be using the long ball with

Rinku

Agree0 Disagree0

Every club should have strikers with different qualities , so i would totally agree with this post ,, and even tho the napoli chairman was quoting stupid prices and do believe he would be cheaper then falcao . Athletico bought him for just under 40 million euros and you can bet they would want a nice little profit of the guy ,,,. We could probably get cavani for 35 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Falcao I feel would be the best striker we could bring in for a number of reasons. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see Cavani at the Bridge next season however Falcao is undoubtably the more intelligent player in terms of his hold up play and movement. This is significant to how successful he would be in our team next season as we are looking to play with more fluidity and an increased tempo getting nearer the six yard box. He has also played (and been successful with) a similar system and philosophy at At Madrid last year. Neither did he show any signs of the pressures of a big price tag. Cavani on the other hand would have been better with the style of play we utilised last year; as a target man looking to hit opposition on the counter attack with a direct style of play. We have also been linked with Moses, yet I'm still not sold on Moses coming, especially for no more than 8£m as by number of attacking mids we have it is pointless plus he isn't yet good enough to spearhead Chelsea's attack of Torres gets injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Falcao doesnt hold the play up at all try watching him a few times

Agree0 Disagree0

Are u kidding me. Uve got the wrong Falcao mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

U obviously don't understand the concept of holding up the ball then.... Watch Falcao a bit more then come back to the conversation on that one!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have watched him instead of holding it up he moves the game forward dont be a fool

Hi Ed, I realise you've been asked this recently saying there is nothing new. But I'm writing this as a plea, as the thought of there being a chance I could see Neymar in a Chelsea shirt next season will defenitley make my work days go quicker. With that in mind is there any chance or is that deal really dead in the water now?

Also I'd just like to say thank you to not only yourself but everyone's who keeps this site going, I check it everyday and really do love reading through the posts. So thanks and please keep up the good work however frustrating it may be there a lots of us I'm sure who really do appreciate all you do.

J {Ed018's Note - i don't think you will be seeing Neymar in a Chelsea shirt next season. the Neymar situation last summer was very complicated and i wouldn't say its dead in the water but i don't see Chelsea making any move for him this summer}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Neymar has a pre contract signed with barcelona since january {Ed002's Note - No.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally never think we will see him at Chelsea. After the ambiguous Nike advert basically saying he will join Barca in 2014 and the sunny life of Spain more attractive in general, I don't see the little diva in Blue.

Sam Leslie is expected to be announced as the latest chelsea summer signing, the talented goalkeeper will be the new understudy to petr cech. I know he's relatively unknown but he will be a big hit! Chelsea till I die!

Believable7 Unbelievable13

Your clearly not chelsea till you die considering courtois is guna be cechs understudy

curt

Agree1 Disagree0

From which team?

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds please send this nonsense to the dodgy rumours bin. No such goalkeeper named Sam Leslie. Posting crap like this up just encourages the miscreants posting trash. Should ban them too, pour decourager les autres. {Ed018's Note - Your right I wasn't paying attention when I posted it}

Agree1 Disagree0

Hello Sam...posting about yourself are we?

PR!

Agree1 Disagree0

This was posted by my mate who is a Liverpool fan thinking he would be funny knowing I come on this site a lot.. He's probably just bitter supporting a europa league club and looking at signings like Dempsey compared to hazard..

Agree1 Disagree0

Hilarious. Welcome to Chelsea fan's forum. Just so you know: Cech (new deal), Courtois, Blackman and Delac ensure we have plenty of decent "safe hands" for about another 5-10 years!!

Agree0 Disagree0

5-10 years you do realise most keepers go on till there 40 dont you?

Agree0 Disagree0

40 at Chelsea? Slough Town maybe!!

Roberto di matteo has been given permission for 2 more major signings perhaps a RB and a replacement for didier drogba

Believable15 Unbelievable1

You don't say? Durrrr.

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope victor moses isnt one of the two

Agree2 Disagree1

I think we all know that RDM does not "give permission" for signings.He may have an imput but permission no way.You are a time wasting Toby.

Battersea Boy

Agree1 Disagree1

Battersea Boy - you mis-read the comment; the person said RDM was "given permission" not "he gave permission". Either way, it's common knowledge that Chelsea are still looking to strengthen.

Agree1 Disagree0

Read the sentence again Battersea..........

Agree1 Disagree0

Doesnt he ? roman probably said i want you to sign 2 more major signings and gives him an idea of who he wants

i think he has more input than you actually think

Agree0 Disagree0

U need to re read his post. He sed he has been given permission not Robbie gave the club permission. Bit harsh calling him a toby for no reason. To be fair tho every1 knows Robbie won't be hand picking every player him self.
Marley

Agree1 Disagree0

Azpilcueta and Moses most likely but Cavani could still be possible, some deal including Meireles going the other way might be a option

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be 3 new signings , i would,nt call moses a "major signing" he will be a squad player , azpilcueta and an out and out striker will be the major signings :) hopefully cavani

Agree0 Disagree0

Regardless, I doubt Di Matteo is 'given permission' for the signings anyway.

He will only have a slight input into transfers.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

No way you lot discredit di matteos job at chelsea big time

your acting like hes there until guadiola is avaliable and roman wont talk to him about anything

remember di matteo is the ex chelsea legend if roman wants advice on players im sure he asks di matteos opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

No. I just have a better idea of how transfers are conducted than you do. There will be a team of people involved, of which Di Matteo will only play a small part.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think any1 is discrediting the job Robbie has done. Chelsea have a group of people who all have a input into transfers, Robbie included. The eds have mentioned this on many occasions.
Marley

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright i read the message incorrectly.Its still b******* as RDM being given permission is crap.He does not do the buying and a team of people do.He is the coach.

battersea boy

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes but the way your making it out is like he has near enough no input especially you IB

i dont think u have a better idea than me about transfers i think you just think you do in your head

Agree0 Disagree0

Battersea boy he has actually been given the title of Manager as well as 1st team coach. Therefore he will have a say of who comes in and out

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm saying he is a small part of a much larger group of people. Therefore has a small input.

Pretty simple.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah you are spot on IB.
The reason i was so rude initially was i love this site but every transfer window it is full of mugs asking and posting absoloute s***!

Battersea boy

Agree1 Disagree0

Get back to footy manager batteryboy.

RB is the most important position and has been for a number of years, after that we need cavani

Agree0 Disagree0

By the way, Chelsea play in blue, at Stamford Bridge and won the Champions League last season. BREAKING NEWS!

F*cking hell, please let's be a bit more inspiring with what we post. Bad enough reading the same question over and over and over again!

Hi ed , Ron gourlay has confirmed there will be 2 more major signings but personally can you see 3 coming in ? Rw ( Moses ) rb and striker ? {Ed018's Note - it'll be 2-3 signings)

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Would Moses be considered a 'major' signing? A squad player as a replacement for Kalouless.

LJ

Agree1 Disagree0

Moses is not a major signing, he is a squad player and i think he'll be a great squad, just like kalou was

One Bomb Tom

Agree1 Disagree0

Moses a major signing behave

Agree0 Disagree0

I said 2 more major signings ,, i was quoting moses as a regular signing

Hi ed for rb have we got an interest in dani alves. SHNIPER SCHOPE {Ed002's Note - No, I have explained ad nauseum where the interest is.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

AZILIPCUETA

Agree0 Disagree1

That player does not exist.

Agree1 Disagree0

However you spell the damn name

stop being an awkward s**t

Agree0 Disagree0

What player doesn't exist?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes saying azipilcueta doesnt exist because im not spelling it correctly in other words hes being a giant tool

Agree1 Disagree0

I just found it particularly amusing that you tried to make a point that it was common knowledge by capitalising it, then misspelt it. Irony, if you will. Cheer up boys.

Ed002, i have tried the search function without joy so i apologise if i have missed it but can you tell me what you know regarding Ashley Cole's contract and transfer situation? {Ed002's Note - His contract runs for another year. Aside from rumours of Manchester United enquiring, I don't know of any contact regarding a transfer.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I asked this yesterday

hi ed, does chelsea still have an interest in neymar, if so what are the chances of us signing him? {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Though now we have Oscar ( under the assumption that he does well and enjoys playing in England) Neymar perhaps would be more interested in joining us. Wouldn't expect him to move for at least 6 months though. Due to the cost he would have to be purchased within a new financial year. 2013 bring on the Neymar

Are the rumours that suggest Cole is wanted by Man Utd true?

Believable2 Unbelievable10

What do you think!

what a stupid question

Agree0 Disagree0

The chances of that happening is exactly 0 percent

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, manchester united enquired but he is not availlable.

With Spain practically out of the Olympic football, will this have any impact on the return of Mata? also will it speed up the transfer of Azpilicueta? thanks ed {Ed002's Note - You cannot speed up something which indeterminable.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mata will probably get a bit of a break you'd think

ED haas anyone at chelsea spoken or shown Azipilicueta around London? spain knocked out of the olympics? is he still unsure of a move? {Ed002's Note - He doesn't need to be shown around London.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

You mean nobody has took him to a west end show! He'll never sign! :)
