I heard a lot of people saying the only way we didn't sign a striker (Falcao) was because we were out of time. Yet Spurs got an extra hour to sign Moutinho (but they still didn't) so how come we didn't get an extra hour to finalise a deal for Falcao. I heard he failed his medical but I think that was harsh considering they had just finished a match. I'm also wondering if he can still join now or if January is when we get him. {Ed018's Note - there was no medical for Falcao, these stories you are reading are just that. there is no deal in place}

Gol Caracol consulted a source close to the player and the club mattress, and according to this the two teams reached a preliminary agreement to Falcao Garcia is new Chelsea on January 9, when it opens {Ed018's Note - why on the 9th? whats wrong with the 1st}

They agreed the fee yesterday and he will join in January because we couldn't get him on deadline day. This is from a very close source from the player and falcaos father insisted that falcao could be heading out of atletico in January. {Ed061's Note - Well I hope your right!}

Chelsea have agreed a deal for Falcao to join the club in January. The only reason we couldn't get him this window was because we didn't give Atletico enough time to find a replacement for him. He should be joining when Atletico find a replacement for him. Its a similar situation as De Bruynes when Genk sold him to Chelsea and the contract stated that he had to be loaned back out to them for the rest of the season. We practically own Falcao but Atletico are holding onto him till January.

If that is the case why have Chelsea not officially confirmed this? Until such time, this is just a rumour and nothing like de Bruyne's transfer.

chelsea loaned about 24 players to different clubs. let's hope atleast half of them come good. it will be a golden chance for van anholt at vitesee this year as they sold their number 1 left back to united. kenneth omero looks like a solid center half at ado den haag. but we need a ball winner in team. mikel is average and lampard is not a ball winner. we need a sulley muntari type ball winner.

Sulley-muntari was at portsmouth couple of years ago. and jose mourinho drafted in at inter milan. he was the only player he took from epl. obviously there was something in him that mourinho chose him. and rest you know he was a part of successful inter-team. he was a ball-winner. made good tackles and provided balls to snejider. obi mikel does not do that often.

Dont know if there is any truth in it at all and its been mentioned on here a few times, but The Daily Mail have said that Chelsea have agreed a £48mil pre contract with Atletico for Falcao to join in January giving Aletico ample time to find a replacement.
