would you like to see Modric in midfield ?!
I see Ramirez beside any of ( Mikel - Romue - Lampard )
will be enough. McEachren has to be given a chance this season and some playing time.
we are not weak on this spot of the field, we need more cover on the wings and right back spots IMO.
share your view =)

Totally agree. Think Modric is a top quality player but not sure if we need him,

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree mate; money can be far better spent in other area (RB and RW)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramires is defo better centrally, & ther are more effective wingers to be had

Agree0 Disagree0

Although we should invest in RB and a RW if we were to go for modric i cant see how it would affect still going after a RB and a RW

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Need some muscle in the middle too. Mata, Ramirez, Hazard are all lightweight.Proitos

Josh has to get his chance this year!One of the most promising younsters in english football right now and needs game time. We cant waste talent like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

We may have cover but do we have the quality? is the question you should be asking.

Steve,

I agree, khedira is a top quality player and I also agree that we have missed ballack. However what I meant with the post was that I doubt he will be available. I just don't see why Madrid would look at selling.

Yes if Ronaldo and khedira became available I'm sure we'd be interested, as would all the other top european clubs. But I just can't see it happening. Thats why I said it was a waste of time.

If I'm wrong and Madrid look at selling khedira or Ronaldo I will apologise.

EDs can you clear up once and for all. Are or have we bid for luka Modric this or last season. Personally I would like to see him at the bridge this coming season. Maybe if AVB takes over at tottenham, he seem to have a preference for Sturridge. So maybe cash plus Sturridge would be a good deal. Also in your personal opinion would you like to see Torres replaced or give him another year. I think his price is dropping rapidly. Maybe selling now we,at a push could get £35m for him but another poor season under his belt and his price could go as low as £20m. I would like to see him replaced by cavani or falcao {Ed002's Note - If Torres want to leave the club will not stand in his way.}

What will happen at right back Ed? {Ed002's Note - It'll drag on for a while no doubt. But with Bosingwa gone and Ferreira available to go much will depend on what happens with Ivanovic. If Ivanovic were to leave I would have expected Kalas to return to provide cover at centre back. However it looks most likely that it will be agreed that Kalas can return to Vitesse (that agreement could be as early as today) and then return to Chelsea for good next season. So there are circumstances which could see Chelsea looking for two right backs. As for the options, Van Der Wiel will almost certainly move in the summer and his preference remains Spain - although it is unlikely that something can be worked out with Valencia. Real Madrid have also shown an interest in the player as they too are looking for a RB. Chelsea may maintain an interest but they (a) remain more interested in Azpilicueta, and (b) have concerns over a player so adament that he wants to move to Spain. Roma was another option for VDW but he has turned them down.

Marseille's right back Cesar Azpilicueta is being considered by Real Madrid, Chelsea, Athletic Bilbao, Roma, Valencia and Barcelona. Initial interest from Manchester United has waned. THe three most likely destinations are Real Madrid, Chelsea and Athletic Bilbao but efforts to get any sort of deal in place are not really coming to fruition.

Piszczek is interesting both Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Newcastle have made a second bid for Debuchy but I suspect he and Lille are waiting to see what other options exist. Certainly Inter are very interested. Valencia have also shown an interest after the Van Der Wiel situation finally stalled. Chelsea, AC Milan, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Palermo have also shown varying degrees of interest since the January window. Chelsea have been struggling to strike a deal for Azpilicueta and are looking at Piszczek but with Real Madrid also interested could look to Debuchy again.}

It's a shame Kyle Walker's name isn't mentioned in our interested targets for RB position. He is most definitely better than all mentioned names above and with more potential, plus more importantly build for the English league. Anyways we need a RB :)

Cheers Ed, thx for the update

Really great info, cheers Ed!
Personally i would love to see Cesar or Piszczek, for me they are the best players, VDW and Debuchy have had their moments but all in all i am not convinced by either.

THANKS ED!

Great info Ed,

Borderline annoying but do you know the reasons why we're struggling to striker a deal for Azpilicueta?

Cheers :) {Ed002's Note - I know the reason but is not worth going in to.}

This is why I come here! Thanks Ed!

Hey ED,

Just two quick things. First of all, is there interest in Modric now? The telegraph say that Chelsea have "informally" enquired about Modric and are set to bid for him....

And Finally, could you summarise the FFP rules please?Thanks ED!

Samir {Ed002's Note - Modric? I will try and do something later today about the FFP rules. I am busy working right now.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Okay, thats cool.

Erm yer, the telegraph was reporting that Ambramovitch "promised" Modric he would go back and get him (LOL), and that therefore they are set to make a bid.

Sorry, just one more question ED. Why are Chelsea releasing artists impressions of Battersea Stadium even though they lost the bid to that Indonesian group? It just seems a bit pointless......

Thanks ED!

Samir {Ed002's Note - It was done because the club thought it would be of interest to the fans. I am sorry you think it is pointless the club give consideration to the fans.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Also we didn't lose the bid, we are just not the preferred buyer

Do Chelsea have an intrest in Sami Khedira ed? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Do some ppl who come on this sight just pick random players and ask if we're interested in them. It's pointless and I'm sure most regular users on here could answer most of the posts because they're such a waste of time.

Here's one for u, are Chelsea interested in ronaldo?

Another waste of time question!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ads,

Why was it a waste of time asking that question?

Khedira has had a really good couple of years however has recently fallen out of the starting XI at Real Madrid. On his progression throught the German ranks, Khedira was often compared to Ballack in his work ethic on the pitch - I, for one, think we have missed that since Ballack left.

Khedira could benefit Chelsea given a) Essien's decline, b) di Matteo's preference to play a double pivot in midfield and c) Khedira plays the same role for club & country.

There are loads of players who are mentioned to the Eds on this site who are just pure fantasy football however, IMO, Khedira would be a realistic target as an alternative to Fellaini (if reports were true we were interested in him).

Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

The only waste of time questions are those that have already been asked and answered recently.

Why would Chelsea not be interested in Ronaldo, any team would take him given the opportunity.

Asking about Khedira is a solid question as we are looking to add to that position and we have been linked to him before.
