Hazard to england. Good news.

Only club i feel has a chance to sign him is chelsea. What are your views ed? Thank you

Shak {Ed002's Note - Last week it was PSG he admired. Previously Spain. The summer is a long way off and the asking price will be high.}

On hazards twitter profile which has been verified it really is him not some fake he tweeted 30 mins ago Alors propre sur moi au CFC? Vos avis lol ED02 your french must be good any idea what it means? {Ed002's Note - It translates to "go alone to CFC? Your thoughts."}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Whats that meant to mean?

Agree1 Disagree0

If he were to move it would be in the summer anyways...so boohoo

He is referring to a TV programme Canal football club!

I've just got 2 questions:
1.are Chelsea done with signing players this jan
Or could we see a new face before the deadline Ed?
2.please could you inform me about the de bruyne
Situation I.e is he going back on loan to genk
Or is he even a chelsea player Ed?
I would much appreciate it if you could
Take a moment of your time to answer both
Of these questions ed.(as I'm hopelessly lost on both fronts. {Ed002's Note - (1) There may be an arrival. (2) I don't know what is planned for de Bruyne but very much suspect he will stay in Genk until the summer after the deal is completed.}

Thanks ed ;-)

Interesting interview with Hazard on Canal+ basically ruling out any move before summer but saying he will most probably go to england when he does move, to a team that plays good football and where he is guarenteed a starting role, food for thought....

JK

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Well we don't play good football so looks like he is of to Arsenal

Agree6 Disagree9

P.S Man City

Agree2 Disagree5

Off to play europa league is it....very doubtful.

Doubt he would want to ruin his career. Would only leave like fabrgas,henry,nasri etc.

Interesting quotes direct from Hazard just on canal + When asked if he would move before Tuesday he replied it's impossible,when asked where he would like to play next year he replied England a team that plays good football he mentioned Chelsea united city Arsenal spurs
Who is in pole position for him ED002? {Ed002's Note - I would not believe everything you read. There is no "pole position"; folks are now just running wild with hopeless cliches.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Dugarry to Hazard i bet it will be Chelsea in which he replies you are free to put a bet on {Ed002's Note - If, and it is a big if, he moves to England much will depend on (a) the asking price being met; (b) Champions League qualification. Real Madrid would likely need to see Di Maria to buy him and already have Cavanni as their primary target for the summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Madrid would need to see Di maria to buy him? If he does move to England who is the most likely club he will go to? {Ed002's Note - The summer is a long way off. I have explained the situation.}

29 Jan 2012 19:09:53
i think de bruyne will be the only arrival this window,chelsea have made contact with lille and shakhtar donetsk about hazard and willian so they know what the club want in terms of money for them!why sit on it till 2 days before the window shuts? i suspect if they were going to bid then they would have done it already! i know ul remind me of torres and luiz but in my opinion that was a one off(or 2 off lol) hope im wrong tho!

ED002, as you mentioned several times unless an "extrodinary" bid is made for hazard he wont be leaving lille in this window, just wondering wont his value be the same in the summer if not more if we decide to bid for him then? perhaps more competition for his signature then also that could also inflate his price more? thanks

-jack- {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what his value will be in the summer. Sorry.}

To help ed. Here is a list of things on each player we are interested in.

Hazard - There is a massive evaluation on the player for january, or he will be available in the summer.

Moura - there is interest, not sure what is happening, maybe not in january.

de bryune - expect to be completed soon if not it will be in the summer

Higuin - there is interest, high price and a stipulation saying we won't bid for cavani

cavani - interested. high price, face competition.

Subotic - One looking at for the summer

there are other but these are the main ones.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

All of this is common knowledge.

ED just a general enquiry is it possible Mourinho and AVB could work together next year? {Ed002's Note - It is not something we are speculating over right now.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I am certainly warming to this idea. ed, do you think they could work again together? Did AVB leave Jose at Inter on acrimonious terms? {Ed002's Note - What part of "It is not something we are speculating over right now" was so tough to understand?}

Ed, i was just wondering, during the summer i believe you said Real Madrid might be interested in Tevez, do you know if they still are? I would have thought Jose would love to have a player like Tevez in his squad, and now would be a great time to pick him up. {Ed002's Note - There is no interest at present. They have another target.}

I just don't feel were signing anybody this window. As much as id hate to say it.

We are really struggling to score these days, not like the last few years. Its going to be a fight this year for champions league football with our current squad. The goals have dried up. Big games next week and we need goals. At the moment We seem to struggle to put goals past norwich, qpr, fulham,wigan etc. No excuses and these games have cost us dear.

Malouda,mikel,kalou, drogba etc have had their prime in the past and ain't the level of players they once was. Feel like the squad are lacking the winning hunger they had previously where we would grind a goal in difficult games.

Rim sure we can turn it around and get a top three finish. But a few signings won't bite avb.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I reckon one will come.

Agree1 Disagree2

Mikel and kalou are both 24-26 so they cant have reached there prime yet

Why is everyone hoping Mourinho comes back for? He will go to man city or United if he came back. AVB is here for the long run and he hasnt done that bad considering his squad, in the summer Chelsea will rebuild the most.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Why wouldn't someone wish Mourinho back? What else is there to wish for Chelsea? A man has proven so many times now, that he is the best at what he does. Why would i wish he be gone to united or city. It would mean there won't be league titles for us. Has ge ever failed?

On big budget, moderate budget, or relatively no budget. While i rate AVB a tad better than Scolari. What is there to rate, anyway. He will probably end up here for another year, or maybe even two, but if the play of the team and results don't change, he'll be off. Trust me, the buy out clause we paid for him, won't matter.

JG

Agree5 Disagree2

Apart from the football is boring, slow, predictable and basic

Agree3 Disagree3

Mourinho gets wrongly accused of negative football, sure initially in the game he set us up not to lose but if we were behind or needed a goal in the last 30 mins he would change the game with his subs and we would bombard teams into submission. AVB and his "attacking brand of football" must be the biggest myth ive seen. The defence now plays really deep again, the team has stopped pressing, the tempo is painfully slow and his subs are boring and basic. If that is what is classed as attacking football then im a monkeys uncle

Agree6 Disagree1

I could not agree more with the above. We only attack through the flanks, the flank to be precise, we do nothing with our possession, we are slow, even lethargic at times, we move the ball sideways, without a clear idea of what to do next. This attacking football nets us a goal a game, if that. Now that is truly boring.

Somehow Mourinho's Real is scoring goals at will and beating teams with ease. That is apart from Barcelona, of course. But at the same time, that is a tall task for anyone.

Agree3 Disagree0

Our biggest problem is that when our players pass a ball they stand still, there's no movement.

If AVB has a 'project' in mind which may take several years, surely he should be the principal decision -maker in who the club buys? Every purchase made should be part of his project.

Today he has publicly stated that he has not been involved in the decision to purchase DeBruyne but he'll do his best by him as a manager. I know eds have stated that interest in players has 'pre-dated' managerial arrivals. I know this a common practice on the continent but appears to be one that is thriving at Chelsea (Torres to Chelsea last January being the salient point!)

I would like to see a list of club targets compared to a list of the managers targets. How can AVB honestly hope to realise his footballing ethos when he doesn't have absolute autonomy over transfer dealings (ins & outs).

I know of Micheal Emenalo's influence, but who has the last say (on a footballing rather than financial basis)

I may just be being naive but would appreciate others opinion including the eds.

KTBFFH!! {Ed002's Note - It is a collaborative process. There is no real "last say" on a footballing basis.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

According to AVB, others are 'collaborating' without him (DeBruyne). If he fails in his project - he will undoubtedly have to fall on his sword.

Is it a strategy designed to fail? {Ed002's Note - I think you are reading too much in to this.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeah maybe you're right.

I just thought that scouts fed in to the manager who then evaluated the reports and made a decision (or 3) which would be put forward to Gourlay et al to progress with. If this is wrong could you give us a brief idea as to what the process actually is?

From what we're led to believe AVB is no Carlo Ancelotti (who made the best with what he was given)

One last thing - I don't suppose you could tell us who these collaborators are and what their footballing experience is that enables them to be such strong stakeholders?

Great site BTW! {Ed002's Note - The manager is not responsible for the scouting system for a start. There is a Director of Football, there is a Head Scout, there is a coaching team and there are a number of others who provide advice. Some are consulted on an ad hoc basis and others are in regular dealings with the club and may even be responsible for the removal of a manager, the purchase of certain players etc.. Those consulted perhaps even include an ex-manager or two, but they all have experience of the game from various perspectives.}

Agree0 Disagree1

If AVB will get the boot eventually, i very much doubt it will be of his failure to buy cheap and sell expensive, to be the man and make the key decisions.

He was brought to the club because of the quality of football his former side demonstrated. We are nowhere near that football for sure. We are struggling on both ends of the pitch and are quite frankly - uninspiring.

While the man who did not bring the exciting football to the bridge is on course to win the championship in fourth different leage, while trashing opponents in 6-1, 4-1, 5-0, etc.

Agree2 Disagree2

Thanks!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed2: if we have so many people meking decisions on transfers, then how in world do we end up the likes of Benayoun, Turnbull, Obi, Bosingwa?

Wish Ranieri was our director of football with sole control over all comings and goings.

anything concrete on the lucas moura deal yet?
also we were in the hunt for christien erikksen last summer...is that interest past us? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and AC Milan have shown an interest in Eriksen. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. Back in mid July someone from the Milan Press Office said he had heard of interest from Manchester United and that now appears to be the case. I doubt that January is an option for a move but perhaps the summer. The player has expressed an interest to move to Spain. There is nothing new on Moura.}

Heyy Ed. I have heard alot about Adam Johnsons possible move to the bridge! What do you have to say about that? He's a great player and would get into our A-team quite easily IMO. His price tag is only 14m. {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it - Twitter again?}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Noo, Facebook. :)
Alot of chelsea pages and other football pages have been saying this. Ramires is out for a mont,Adam would be a perfect replacement.

-Haris

Agree1 Disagree2

Adam Johnson is a winger. Ramires is a central midfielder. How is Adam Johnson a perfect replacement?!

TB

Agree12 Disagree0

I think ED have already mentioned that chelsea are not looking for replacement for ramires. Also as he said before that there is no such a tactics ad the players should adapt to a game (play in more than one position:mata is an example). Sorry for my English guys as I am Lithuanian, But I am true Chelsea fan till I die.

Ed2: would you rule out Mourinho's come back this summer?

JG

P.S. I guess each and every Chelsea fan wishes this "transfer" more than anything. I would take such manager over any player in the world. {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Ed2: i saw earlier answers. Would have not written.

Agree2 Disagree1

I want lucas moura or mario gotze more than anything. mourinho is in the past.

Agree6 Disagree2

I am happy with our current manager, do not want to get anyone we got in the past. Past is past and we have to look to future or atleast do something now for example sign a good winger (I think it would be enough) who can play on left and then play the formation 4 - 2 -3 - 1 with mata behind the striker. Also Lukaku should get his chance! as Torres isn't looking good

LRD

Agree2 Disagree3

Gents: what makes you think that AVB will prefer to play Mata behind the striker and all he needs is a winger to do so?

Remember the Norwich game. Off came Lampard, on went Malouda. He did not swich the play formation. He just slotted Malouda into midfield. And did the same against QPR. Have he wanted to play Mata behind the striker, he would have done it. So please stop this crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he done it because Malouda is not good as the winger anymore (I think he is sh*t anywhere he plays) SO this is the reason why he is keeping mata on the left. If we will get a good winger Mata may easily be pushed in the middle
