Ed I've scrolled through earlier posts but can't see anything on the subject but appoligise if it's been asked already. But do you know if there us any truth behind the talk of Chelsea being interested in barkley and Fellaini. Barkley has alot of potential but surely there is better out there than Fellaini? Do you know if we have considered Strootman as he has shown alot of potential and is cleary ready for a bigger club.
Cheers Ed

Dan J {Ed002's Note - No idea right now. There was interest in Rodwell a year ago.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

You have that the wrong way around, people on here were talking about Barkley at around 20 million at the start of the season which was utter madness, he has done nothing since, we have our own youth! And Fellaini is one of the best DM's around, he dictates a lot of games from deep positions and go's unnoticed. He could play at the highest level in my opinion, big, strong, PROVEN, i would take Fellaini over Barkley any day

ED002 it seems as thought Man city and Man utd are ahead of us in the race to sign Hazard has anything changed on his situation? {Ed002's Note - I have explained the Hazard situation and the issue with Chjelsea's interest. Nothing has changed that.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Are chelsea still looking to buy a winger ed? {Ed002's Note - There remains interest in Lucas Moura.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Was Hazard invited to Stamford Brigde ED? and to visit the training ground? {Ed002's Note - There has been no direct conct with the player but Chelsea were keen to have someone discuss various matters with him to see if there is any change of opinion regarding his attitude problems.}

Is it true Kagawa turned down a contract offer. {Ed002's Note - It is more a case that he has not found an acceptable offer put before him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

As they have not agreed on anything and the player has said he wants to play in England, are Chelsea interested? {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

Hi ed ive read through the posts and im made up to see that we've signed Marin, although i have a few questions. How was he allowed to sign outside of the transfer window? Is it totally random that we signed him because i did not hear of any interest? Is he at cobham now or will he continue with werder bremen till the end of the season? If so is he allowed to play this season? Do you know if he will get straight into the first team like mata/romeu next season? And will his signing decrease any interest in other wingers? Also does he play as a left winger or right because i think he is right footed and we look to be packed out left wing with kakuta, de bruyne mata malouda or kalou?

finally on an unrelated note will kakuta be part of the squad next season or will he go out on loan AGAIN or even be sold?

Thanks very much ed
webbo {Ed002's Note - He will sign after July 1 when the window opens - at present there is simply an agreement he will sign. Interest was known and discussed - it seems to have pushed ahead following a rejected bid from Roma during the week and interest from Spurs. He is not in Cobham. He cannot play now. Kalou and Malouda will likely leave. De Bruyne will likely be on loan. No decision has been made over Kakuta.}

A transfer can be agreed at any time. The registration of the player to his new club will not be completed until the next (or agreed) transfer window.

Is there any interest in Jesus navas? Is there any chance he'll be moving in the summer? He's a quality player. {Ed002's Note - No.}

What everyones thoughts on the signing of Marin? I think it is a great signing and shows promise that Chelsea are ready to do some business in light of their CL success. If they can win the CL then I can realistically see Hazard coming to club, with Chelsea being one of few teams to happily pay high wages and high transfer fees. Also, what are everyones thoughts on M'Vila? I get the impression Arsenal will 'stinge' themselves out of a deal with his club and think that Chelsea are crying out for a new out and out DM with Essien coming to the end of his career (even though Mikel appears to have played well under RDM). The following potential transfers:

RB Azpilicueta/Van der Wiel
LB Pereira
CDM M'vila
CAM Sneijder/Moutinho/Modric (more than likely Mata to fill role)
RW or LW Hazard, Marin, De Bruyne
ST Higuain/Cavani (although personally I would love to see Torres, Sturridge and in particular Lukaku get a crack, all talented players that offer something different)

Hass {Ed002's Note - De Bruyne is already a Chelsea player.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Romeu is a world class DM

Agree0 Disagree0

My friends in Germany say he is worst diver in the league,and had one good season three years ago, and is lucky to get a game for Bremen. Maybe Chelsea can get him back to his best, but I think the price reflects his quality, and some folks are getting a little carried away.

Agree0 Disagree0

See i do not believe we need a left back, cole is perfirming agai rotated with bertrand, we need a right back. a creative midfielder moura , and a good right winger. that is all unless sturridge goes which i do hope we may need a striker BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope we can sign moura with the remaining...

Ed a few months back you said you thought Ivanovic would want to leave in the summer, has this changed as he is now one of our key players? thanks

ChelseaLad {Ed002's Note - Any offers the club get for Ivanovich which are acceptable will be notified to the player. He may leave, he may not.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Ivanovic is 1 of my favourite cfc players. He is a consistently good performer and, imo, 1 of the best RB's in the premiership! (even tho hes naturally a CB) I really want him to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea im with u there! Hes a great player one of our best why would we sell him and buy another player that would have to settle in when weve got ivan

The summer revamp of the squad has started already with the surprise signing of Marko Marin, I haven’t seen too much of him but remember being impressed by him when he played against Spurs in the Champions League. This definitely isn’t one of the key signings we are all looking for but I feel he is a really good addition to the squad. Juan Mata has looked a little tired in recent weeks; this signing will add depth, and quality, to both the left and central attacking midfield positions. I would think that he will replace Florent Malouda in the squad and his signing, along with that of Kevin De Bruyne, will probably spell the end of Gael Kakuta’s time at Chelsea too. Right-back, Right-wing and Striker positions still need to be filled but I have no doubt quality will be added to these positions before we kick off next season. It’s been a difficult season but there are loads of positives right now.

On another note I understand Dennis Wise has been at Cobham this week, Ed is there anything in this (coaching role etc.)?

Surewould {Ed002's Note - Cobham periodically goes in to help with the Youth Team. I have no idea if he has been in this week.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Gael's not going anywhere, he's just starting to realise his potential and he's still very young.

{Ed022's note - brand new player profile on Higuain of Real Madrid. Looks likely to leave this summer, with a whole host of clubs monitoring the situation, including Chelsea. You all know the link, cheers all!}

Hi ed2.
Can you shed some new light on the Shinji Kagawa thing? According to media reports he's snubbed a new offer from Dortmund. True?
If so, is he then out of contract this summer?
And is it correct that Chelsea are now one of the clubs interested in him?
Thank you Ed {Ed002's Note - No, he has an offer on the table. No, he is not out of contract in the summer. Liverpool, Manchester United, Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Although Kagawa is considering an extension to his contrac the says that a move to Manchester United would be impossible to turn down. I think that he will probably stay on in Germany next season. Reinhard Rauball has made it clear that there still hasn't been contact with Dortmund from another club.}.}

Ed, who was the one who signed Marin for us. I'm guessing abramovich Because surely interim managers can't sign players? Unless he's not interim manager anymore
Trout {Ed002's Note - Why would you think the owner did the deal? Hopeless.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Not who did the deal but who wanted it
Trout {Ed002's Note - The club wanted it.}
