Ed there seams to be lots of speculation of strikers and defenders but i feel the key area is midfield where there is not that much creativity. Will a marquee signing be bought in january or will it be another youngen for the future. Also as ashley coal has no clear replacement will chelsea buy a new LB or rely on bertrand or van arnholt, if a LB is bought is it most likely perriera?

webbo {Ed002's Note - I don't know what a marquee signing is I am afraid and I do not want to get in to any such discussions. Both Van Aanholt and Bertand would make good replacements. A left sided player may well arrive - de Bruyne is a good option.}

By a marquee signing i mean i really big name play, there has been some speculation about kaka although i dont see him as a good option as hes too old and would cost too much. Any chance in maybe modric, ganso or moutinho

Anu news about Essien Ed? {Ed002's Note - Nothing really. He has been doing some running but the club are keen to avoid him being selected to go to the ACN. May be ready to play a bit part in late January or early February.}

Ed, is there any interest in rb's, know we've been linked to VDW and Srna in the past, is there anyone new, really think its a weak area, cheers {Ed002's Note - There is no one I know of right now aside from VDW.}

Hi Ed was just wondering what your thoughts were on Gio Chanturia the young winger who plays for Vitesse. From what ive read he is a exciting player and a very talented winger, we have a vert strong relationship with Vitesse would we get 1st chance at the player? Also is there any update on Ocampos?

PB {Ed002's Note - I know little of the player but Chanturia would require a work permit. Lucas Ocampos has been looked at by a number of sides with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea maintaining an interest. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive to buy.}

Would a move for the player in January be unlikely or do you see it being in the summer? It seems like alot of the south americans are starting to be talked about agin ie; Ganso, Lucas, Damiao and Ocampos. I no buying in January is always more in flatted but dont you think if were serious about purchasing a Ganso or Lucas or Ocampos that January is the best time, due to there season finishing and reducing the probability of getting in a 10 team bidding war with teams having more time to put together deals in the summer and freeing up funds via transfers and sponsorships.

Ed002, is the De Bruyne deal close to being completed. I know the window doesnt open for a while but i know talks are advanced? {Ed002's Note - The situation remains as it was left in the summer in that Chelsea want de Bruyne and the player wants to make the move buy (a) he does not want to go on loan, and (b) Genk raised the price to a level Chelsea are not keen to pay. I expect that the move will go ahead in January though.}
