Well, Ed, have you heard anything new? Any other news on Hazard coming to us. Also, do you think we have a bigger chance of getting him or a club like Utd. News on VDW? Also, has Roman offered RDM a new contract and if so are we looking at any other coaches? Sorry if you've already answered these but, I usually visit the site in the summer and so far haven't been fully updated. Thanks! {Ed002's Note - Try reading the posts.}

hi ed, first of all the work you are doing here is great. 1st thing 1st pls can you tell me the update with Azpilliqueta and the chances of us getting him this summer and are we trying to get javier martinez this summer. pls could you tell me the striker the club as identified to go for this summer to replace drogba and kalou that have being released. thanks again

chelsea general {Ed002's Note - Marseille's right back Cesar Azpilicueta is being tracked by Chelsea, Roma, Valencia and Barcelona. Initial interest from Manchester United has waned. Manchester City are probably looking to replace Nigel De Jong in the summer and Javi Garcia and Javi Martinez were the two players they are looking at. I was told a while back that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player any time soon, and if they do they will want 40M euro with Barcelona and Real Madrid being possible destinations. Garcia has signed a new deal at Benfica so I imagine Martinez will become a serious target for Manchester City who may also face interest from Manchester United. The strikers remain as discussed.}

apparently malouda and essien are getting new contracts. WTH

Essien is still a good squad player, and I'd be happy for him to step in if Mikel got injured. Too much chopping and changing won't help. Malouda on the other hand needs to be sold cause we've already signed Marin as Kalou's replacement (hypothetically) and I'm confident we'll sign another left-sided player (hopefully Hazard), so there will be no space for Malouda

Some rumors circulating that Ezequiel Lavezzi could be a unusual target for Chelsea. {Ed002's Note - Why an "unusual" target? There is interest in Lavezzi from several clubs including Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit, PSG, Shakhtar, Inter and AC Milan. I think it would take a very high cash offer - more than 30M euros, some trading or a third-party ownership deal bid to get Napoli to sell the player who is unwilling to extend his existing contract which runs to 2015. Inter have offered 15M euro plus Marco Faraoni, Goran Pandev and Joel Obi but that offer is not acceptable to Napoli. Further bids have been made by Shakhtar and PSG although PSG said that their bid is really an exploration to see if a lower fee would be accepted. These are being considered by Napoli.}

just wondering peoples opinions on who they would rather have at chelsea ribery hazard or robben me personally first choice would be ribery then robben then hazard mainly because of hazards attitude he could be a real talent if he sorted himself out ronaldo found that out ideally ronaldo wud be the greatest signing but doubt that would happen (better than messi in my opinion) what do you guys think

Mate robben & ribery are how old now ? lets look for yonger players, because my guess with robben hes gt 2 mre years thn his injuries will ruin him.

Probably like a few others - I think you should get your head out of the clouds. I'd be confident in saying nil of the above five players will ever appear for Chelsea. And bar Messi, I wouldn't want ten to either.

I've been hearing alot of news on Gregory Van Der Weil and Hazard. The Hazard saga is almost nearing it's end with Chelsea the firm favourites to land the Belgian but what are the chances of Gregory Van Der Weil? Will he be joining Chelsea this Summer?

Why is everyone including these right backs such as Azpilliqueta or VDW in their team for next year? How many of you have actually ever watched them play?

Well, Van Der Wiel is first choice right-back for Holland, so everyone saw him at the World Cup - And everyone who followed European football this season will have likely seen him - He looks solid. As for Azpilicueta, I've never seen him play personally, but I'd be happy if we signed him (as long as we didn't pay over the odds)

Ive watch both a lot actually...

I've only seen him play a couple of times for Marseille...definitely a huge step up from Bosingwa...very nice accurate crosses.

Eds any news on hazard,as French football pundits believe he has signed a five year deal at Chelsea.Also VDW set to sign for £15m. {Ed002's Note - There is no agreement with LOSC at this time.}

At this time ED? so there have been discussions?

VDW has been linked for £8mill, but his preferred destination is Spain. However, Valencia have just signed a new right-back I believe and no-one else in Spain is really interested {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid is a possible option.}

Going by stats isnt going to make the best team. You have to think about which will suit our style of play and which could possibly work best alongside torres

,Just read Edinson Cavani's profile. Gosh, the guy is too good a striker to buy. In my opinion, Chelsea shouldn't even waste time in buying him. If we truely wanted to pay £50M for Modric last season, don't see why we can't just go grab Cavani at once. He's a superstar and can play our type of football, no doubt. ,,,,,,,,,,

Sunday Times reporting we are set to sign van der weil, any truth ed? {Ed002's Note - Everything rather depends on what happens with Real Madrid. Van Der Wiel will probably move in the summer and his preference remains Spain - although it is unlikely that something can be worked out with Valencia. Real Madrid have also shown an interest in the player. Chelsea may maintain an interest but they remain more interested in Azpilicueta. Roma was another option for VDW but he has turned them down.}
