Yo Eddie! Benayoun off to Fulham or is it just paper talk? {Ed018's Note - maybe, West Ham are also interested}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

It's interesting t see that on the list of first team players on the CFC websitse Benayoun is the only one without a squad number!

{Ed022's Note - There is a brand new Player-Profile on Lazar Markovic, the young player of interest to Chelsea as of recent. I myself don't know much about this player and this profile was written by a Chelsea fan, so I hope you all get time to check it out and hopefully you'll enjoy it! www.player-profiles.co.uk - cheers all.}

I was thinking ed. As were considering v, Moses as homegrown why,,, cos I thought he was Nigerian plus is azpillicueta any good do u think or will it take some time for him to be legendary {Ed018Note - it doesnt matter that he is Nigerian, he meets the requirements to be home grown. I haven't seen a whole lot of Azpilicueta but he is only 21 and should continue to improve as a player}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Azilipcueta is really good getting forward, and des pretty good defensively.

Agree0 Disagree0

Azilipcueta is 22 actually ;)

I really hope we get Cavani, but i'm not sure we will, do you think if it gets to the final days of the transfer market, we will pull out all the stops to sign him, like we did Torres? thanks ed {Ed018's Note - Chelsea remain interested in bringing in another striker and will do all they can to do so but they i doubt they will pay ridiculous fee's some clubs demand}

Hi ed can you see us bidding for pappis cisse? {Ed018's Note - no}

Ed, which clubs are interested in Fernando Llorente? I think you said Chelsea were at one point? Good replacement for the Drog IMO. On the Sunderland page they genuinely think they're gonna get him, I'm assuming that's total BS! Thanks ED {Ed002's Note - Llorente is interesting Spurs, PSG and Manchester City with rumours of interest from Arsenal and Manchester United as well. Barcelona are considering their future options which may involve a move for the player. There is a very good chance that he will move this summer.}

Did Wigan reject another bid for Moses ED? {Ed002's Note - They have rejected more than one bid, yes.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Why do we want Moses? I can think of far better English right wingers, for example Lennon, Walcott, Adam Johnson, Matt Phillips of Blackpool. Ed002 are Chelsea still interested in Walcott? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Walcott.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt Phillips of blackpool? u must be smoking that good stuff mate! or u are just clueless when it comes to football! Walcott hasnt got a clue when it comes to football IQ and Aaron Lennon is too weak

Agree1 Disagree1

They should sign angel di maria as right wing and left wing!!!!!!!!!a lot better than the ones mentioned above

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses is worse than every player on that list

Agree1 Disagree0

Moses completed more successful dribbles than any other player in league last year, not saying he is brilliant but he will be a squad player, and for 9 million bit bad business, he is young. Mattym

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need moses, he has no good qualities, where as if we could perhaps sign hulk, well ... That would be a great attacjing midfield ;)

JMJW

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sign moses it is a replacement for kalou, we dont need hulk, cavani is far to expensive why dont u get with the program with the signings we have made i am happy i just want Azpilicueta. and with the prices we will be quoted for strikers i would rather stick with danny and lukaku

hey ed, are chelsea now pressing on with all their targets or is that now how it works? Are they focussing more attention one one player than the others at the moment. Basically, who do you see being our next signing? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to speculate about who might be next. We all know who the "targets" are.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What actually goes on between bids? Long stretches of contemplative silence? Sometimes you mention "discussions" -- why don't clubs simply "discuss" the matter until they come to an agreement rather than launch a series of successive bids? Is this who blinks first brinkmanship how it's always been done? {Ed002's Note - Between bids people take the opportunity to rest, perhaps take in a movie.}

do we hold interest in Damiao, or is it mainly the Milan clubs? {Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan and Juventus. Lyon, Arsenal and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. January 2013 may be a more likely time to move than the summer although with rejected bids from Spurs and PSG on the table, Roma or Juventus may force a summer move - and these remain the most likely destinations right now. So now acceptable bids but perhaps a flurry of activity will happen.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Is ben gordan being loaned out to birmingham city {Ed002's Note - I don't know but it has been suggested that he is for a few days.}

Now although i was desperate for all these attacking midfielders to join I am slighly worried for 2 reasons:

They are all very good players however they all have come from different backgrounds(germany, brazil, france) I hope people do not expect them suddenly to be the best team in the world. I think this new team will take at least a year to gel properly and compete for the premier league nexin the 2013/2014 season. I think we will get third but realistically we need to give them time patience and not get on robbies back. Too much pressure or expectaion on their shoulders could make them crumble. Lets just keep in mind their ages: Oscar - 20, Hazard - 21, Marin - 23. These are very young guys who arre good players with the POTENTIAL to be world class, they are not there yet.

Also, PLEASE lets not forget about Juan Mata. We have 3 new attacking midfielders and thats really is fantastic. But juan mata should be out 'central' player definatley. IMO without him last year we wouldn't of one either of those trophies or even made the top 6 in the league. Please let us not forget about him he was our best player last year and may be this year as well.

Believable16 Unbelievable2

Totally agree mate it will take time
But no need to worry about mata being pushed out . People need to remember with playing 2 d/m & 3 behind the front man that's 10 midfielders needed for the squad
And before anyone says we have about 15
Some are still expected to leave and some go on loan
Drebs

Agree0 Disagree0

Wheres this new french signing? or do you mean kakuta? because personally hes not good enough

but 100% agree with what you said about mata iv seen people exclude him from our team next year thats insane

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he is referring to Hazard(s) coming from the french league and not the players nationality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Team next year imo - excluding transfer "targets"

Cech
Ivanovic Luiz/Cahill Terry Cole/Betrand

Ramires/Mikel Lampard

Oscar Mata Hazard

Torres

Hopefully we can add azpilluecta (excuse my spelling) pehaps hulk too interchange with oscar ir torres as he can operate as a rw/st and aswell add cavani due to his capabilities, aswell all our attacking midfielders can constantly swap places i.e hazard goes central and mata goes wide etc. last of all, soory for the depth and amount of writing, our youth aswell is looking top notch, with the likes of piazon, josh and others etc we can have a title contending team for years to come, soory for the lentgh and this is all opinion

JMJW

Agree0 Disagree0

JMJW - I would only change your suggested lineup from Hazard to Hazard/Marin. I have been very impressed with Marin's preseason performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree about Marin
Could be the buy of the season
I think you will find Oscar has been brought in with the lampard roll in mind

Hi ed are we still interested in cavani? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Can't believe Ed answered that without handing out a bollocking about using the search facility. Must be getting mellow in his old age.

The Guvnor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed we have had our problems but im just checking your feeling ok today because like guvnor said there was no bollocking ?

curt {Ed002's Note - Try not to be a glifnard Curt.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What the h**k is a gilfnard, Ed? {Ed002's Note - It is a generic term that applies to a large percentage of football fans.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that even a word ? {Ed002's Note - You think I would lie to you?}

Agree1 Disagree0

Just seen it that was a bit harsh ed :(

Agree0 Disagree0

I still don't know what it means but it sounds spot on, Curt. Going to drop 'Gilfnard' into conversation down the pub tonight and see where that gets me.

The Guvnor. {Ed002's Note - Banned?}

Hi ed just saw Roberto Di matteo say that we are no longer interested in hulk. {Ed002's Note - It makes sense given the financial issues. There would need to be a significant change by Porto for anything to happen.}

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Where did u see tht mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

He rarely talk about interest in other players, however it make sense. 'Tis a shame, would of loved Hulk to join. :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did u see that plz ?

Telegraph

Strange though that Sky Transfer Specials betting has us this morning at 1-4 (ie odd on) to sign him?! Perhaps saga not over yet then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Any interest in Cazorla as an alternative to Hulk?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just checked the Telegraph, couldn't find anything on Chelsea not being interested in Hulk.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is cazorla an alternative to hulk?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cazorla plays wide right, so is an alternative to Hulk on the right.

Just wanna say that none of us would have predicted Azpilicueta coming to chelsea, but Ed called it right from the start really! Oscar and marin sort of came out of the blue, but fair play ed, hopefully we will pull off Azpilicueta and Cavani!

Dave

Believable8 Unbelievable2

He hasn't signed yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats because ed knows his/her she*p and can get alot more info than any of us
