I thought I read somewhere a while back that we had an interest in Declan Rice. Is that still the case. What I have seen of him he looks good. Strong and can control midfield. Also he is young. Could he be the new frank lampard.

Looks classy player, Felipe Anderson I thought would struggle in prem but he looks good too.

Declan Rice is an ex-Chelsea youth player - doubt we'd take him back.

With Bakayoko playing really well in Milan in a midfield three is there plans to bring him back to club after his loan or has he had his chance and blown it I think he could be a great player in the right system.

It's unlikely that Bakayoko will be back.

I’m not saying Bakayoko would do well if he were to come back, but pretty much no one played well last year under Conte and I don’t think used him well as it didn’t seem like he particularly wanted him.

I have been mostly impressed with Rudiger this season but the difference that biting the bullet and spending big to get Koulibaly in would be immense (see Van Dijk and Liverpool's improvement) .

MDW I agree with you on this, I envy Liverpool with Van Dirk. We really need a commanding presence in that backline. In as much as Luiz has been fantastic this season, he doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence as he's always going to make a telling mistake.

We need a quality center back with authority and leadership like Terry did. Koulibaly fits the bill and will make a mean defensive pair with Rudiger. The will give attackers to go all out knowing we atleast have cover behind.
May be too expensive for Chelsea considering how highly he's rated now but maybe the continuous racist abuse he's been getting in Italy could just make him want to leave for another league.

Luiz is a leader but very hit and miss. I’d keep him as a back up but we still need a world class CB. We need to go all out for Koulibaly the mans insane. Chilwell for LB too.

Luiz will go down as one of the better defenders that graced stamford bridge. Look no further than his trophy houl which don't lie. Media have always been on his back when he makes mistakes and more than others.

Luiz was immense in Munich 2012 and many other big games. Has perhaps been more often in lesser games that he's had moments of switching off/ brain freeze, but no-one should doubt his footballing talent. But getting a really commanding cb like Van Dijk as DL successor must be one of our two or three top priorities (prolific/ confident/ strong striker obviously one of the others) . Had thought Christiansen would come through, but possibly not quite in that league (or yet)?
