Ed with this recent "speculation" about Lucas Moura i was just wondering what your thoughts were about his ability and if he would be able to adapt to English football. His agent has stated it would take a ridiculous offer to get him in January, what did you say the price was in the summer £60m??

PB {Ed002's Note - I would rather not speculate oin ability - the quoted price by Santos was $130M during the summer. I don't see him moving in January. Ribeiro is just talking him up right now. Expact retractions from the kid's father soon.}

Why don't you think Erikson will move to us ED? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan have shown an interest in Eriksen. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. The reason for him rejecting Chelsea was based on his being turned down twice by Chelsea following trials two or three years ago. Back in mid July someone from the Milan Press Office said he had heard of interest from Manchester United - but I am not aware of any confirmation of that interest.}

ed who are we looking at more pato or higuain and its a shame hazard has his mind set on spain as he is a great talent {Ed002's Note - Use the search box and no doubt you will find the answer you want.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

So a simple pato or higuain is to much to a simple question ohh the stress of life {Ed002's Note - No, it was an attempt to train a cretinous vegetable to make a little bit of effort himself.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Good for you Ed, I especially like the "cretinous vegetable" part. You the man! I can answer the question however as I do read these pages before asking questions it is Higuien.

ED02 Lucas Moura's agent has said Chelsea Liverpool Inter are leading the chase for him is he just talking the player up or is there real interest? {Ed002's Note - Looking at the transcript of what Ribeiro said there was nothing mentioned about leading any chase. Numerous clubs have enquired about him and as I have said before I don't see him moving in January.}

What I would do in January;
In:
Marco Reus
Kevin De Bruyne
Neven Subotic
Lucas Moura
Gary Cahill

Reasons:We need a centre-back, two if Alex leaves. Lucas adds pace and the ability to open up play. De Bruyne will inevitably join so I put him there. Marco Reus is lighting up the Bundesliga and we are crying out for a right winger so he would be a good fit.

Out:
Nicolas Anelka
Salomon Kalou
Josh McEachran (Loan)
Florent Malouda
Romelu Lukaku (Loan)
Alex

Reasons:
Anelka, as much as I like him, will more than likely leave to Asia, USA, Russia or the Middle East. Josh and Lukaku need game time so send them out on loan. Malouda hasn't got the pace to be a winger anymore so he has to go. Kalou-less is just bad. Bolton standard, not Chelsea.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Add to them exits John Terry he needs to be the first gone hes finished, Drogba Mikel and Boswinga....get Mceachran in the starting line up, hes inventive clever and would link well with Torres and Mata, and Ramires can do the breaking up of play and has the energy.

I totally agree ,, best post i've seen in weeks :) best players i hv wanted for the blues

Ed 002: i have read we have offered Kalou a new deal. He wanted assurances over first team action and wasn't given any. Now there is no agreement. Are we selling him in January? Also what's up with Anelka and Drogba? Probably wont get any money over the latter two, but could get some for Kalou.

If any two of them leave i guess we are talking striker here. I don't believe we will get Higuain, especially in January. Do you know of any other options besides him and Cavani?

{Ed002's Note - Kalou has to make a decision about his future and at the moment it looks like he will be leaving in the summer unless an offer is made in January. Anelka is expected to be leaving in January and nothing has been finalised regarding Drogba. In terms of other players Chelsea are interested in, they had representation in Cologne last night to look again at Reus.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Isn't it likely he will join Bayern ED ? {Ed002's Note - Reus has been playing well and has a growing reputation - enough to alert Bayern Munich - always thought to be his likely destination at some point. Bayern have been interested since the early summer although certain influential factions do not see a need for Reus at this time. Additionally Juventus, Manchester City, Arsenal and even his old club Dortmund have shown an interest in Reus, but a move in January seems pretty unlikely unless a significant bid acceptable to Gladbach is made. Chelsea had two people attend the Cologne match to specifically watch him perform and they may be considering a bid.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes! Reus is a fabulous right winger. Best news all day :D
