Do you think AVB will be the next manager of Inter ED? who do you think it may be capello? {Ed002's Note - Perhaps rather than likely.}

Ed2: would you happen to know if we are interested in Javi Garcia. I know City are, as in Martinez. But are we? I see this particular position as the one which we are vulnerable at present. If not him - do you know whom the club is interested in for the position? {Ed002's Note - No. Manchester United, Arsenal, AC Milan and Bayern Munich have certainly been looking at Javi Garcia but I suspected there may well be a push from Manchester City to take Garcia as a replacement for Nigel De Jong. However, Garcia has signed a new contract at Benfica making a move less likely and I suspect Manchester City turning their attentions to Martinez.}

ED002: iv noticed youv mentioned on several occasions that man city are looking at a replacment for de jong! just wondering why there trying to replace him? is he deemed not good enuf because myslef i rate him pretty high myself, well,the defensive of his game anyway

-jack- {Ed002's Note - I cannot say why because I do no know, but they are constantly looking at the longer term.}

This you have posted some while back. Then what about the other question. If you can, of course. What players are chelsea targeting/monitoring for the midfield?

De Jong isn't creative enough for City. They play narrow 4-2-2-2/4-2-1-3 and whilst he is a good enforcer he doesn't fit in the 4-2-2-2 where you need deep lying playmaker/dm who can pass aggressively. De Jong's passing is mainly sideways/back which slows the attack. The DM enforcer would be fine for Chelsea's 4-3-3 where an enforcer provides the midfield base and just wins the ball and passes it short to the two more creative mids.

You can see the difference in city when Yaya is there and can make surging runs v when De Jong is there and doesn't give penetrative passing or forward surges. I expect Barry to either be gone in the summer or fringe for next season for the same reason (although Barry has a good long ball on him).

At the Moment we have no manager if a oppurtunity arises and one of our targets becomes available E.G Cavani will the club hold talks for the player or will they hold of as the new manager may not want him? {Ed002's Note - The managerial situation will have no impact.}

A short while back Ed you replied to a post that Chelsea would like Mourinho to return. Recent media reports seem to suggest otherwise. It's a fair bet there are obviously some among the management at the club that would like to see him back, just as there are obviously some players and many fans who do too. No brainer there. But assuming your source is not Roman himself is it fair to say 'Chelsea' would like him back or just certain individuals at the Bridge?

TonyP {Ed002's Note - He would be welcomed back.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think it would be smarter to challenge the media's sources rather than eds mate. Their was a story today about Ronaldo to Chelsea. If RM win La Liga Jose will come home.

Ed, I'm sure this is just paper talk but any truth in the £83.6m raid in real Madrid for Higuain and CR9?

FT9 {Ed002's Note - Interest in Higuain remains, and that is all right now.}

Believable8 Unbelievable2

The only way I could even possibly see this happening is if Mourinho returns in the summer. Unlikely at best.

If Ronaldo wishes to leave Madrid and if Madrid is to grant that wish at some price, then Chelsea would be crazy not to be interested.

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way Ronaldo is signing for us. NO WAY. Whether Mourinho comes or not it is not going to happen... ever. Absolutely just rubbish reporting.

Funny thing is, £83.6m doesn't even equal the total outlay that Real spent on Ronaldo in the first place, let alone adding Higuain into the deal.

Terrible terrible journalism.

Agree0 Disagree0

If torres is worth 50 million then ronaldo and higuain must be worth a lot more than 80+mill ...wat a joke of a story

Romeu hasn't played almost the last 10 games ,, i looked if he is injured and couldn't find a thing. is he out of first team now ? {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

There is nothing on Romeu down the page ED nothing on why he has not been playing? {Ed002's Note - It is no big deal, he may now be available for selection.}

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Romeu will be available for selection from this weekend. He had a minor knee problem following on from the virus he caught.}
