Would we be open to selling him Ed? He doesn't offer us anything from open play IMO and if we can get a good fee for him I'd sell and aim for Sanchez or Bernardo Silva.

Blimey we are quick on this site to write off players. Willian was the only player to shine last season and has been given far fewer opportunities this season. Don't write off free kick specialists in terms of use to teams, but Willian offers much more than that.
How about the goals versus Stoke from open play and his one at Man City plus his overall energy and pace around the pitch and unselfishness. Sure, Sanchez might be better but what are the chances of getting him given Wenger's recent statements about not selling to a rival?
Willian has had a difficult year personally by all accounts, and is seemingly uncomplaining about not always starting and is a player who deserves great respect.

Not saying Willian's not a very good player because he is and he's been great for us but if we want to improve in to a European powerhouse again we need better players. If Sanchez was to come in it would be a choice between Pedro and Willian who would leave and I'd prefer Pedro as I feel he's better from open play. We'd have Sanchez and Alonso from set pieces then 👌🏻.

Im sorry I would take willian over sanchez just because of there attitudes sanchez stropping would do my head in he's not a team player that is evident and I don't think conte would tolerate that.

Offers us nothing from open play? Boy do people lose their memory quick! Remember City away? 1-1 and all of a sudden we break, Willian blitzes the defence and scores? Well I was there and don't forget things like that. Willian has yet again been key this season. Stop talking pathetic! People seriously don't appreciate a player anymore.
I still see people on here saying Alonso isn't good enough etc. Get a grip everyone and go and play football manager where you can buy all the players you want and sell off all the players about to win us the double!

If Willian has been great for us as you just said AntonioConteisGod why would you want us to sell him to united . so he could be great for them? He's an excellent player! Does a job in most games. Don't just judge a player only on the number of goals they score! His work rate alone and selfishness for the team is commendable. Love he guy.

think willian will be handy to have around next year as i expect us to make further stages of cl and do well in the cups as usual. i'd like to hang onto him and not fussed if it means another player not coming in. good attitude, good player.

I totally agree that if we want to be a force in Europe we need, better players in a few positions, but not just Europe, next season in the premier league it will be extremely difficult, both Manchester clubs will spend about £250 million each, guardiola 2nd season!, mourinho 2nd season! , usually wins the league, we've all seen it before when we win a league then we don't strengthen / stand still, if we don't add serious quality with 3/ 4 world class players the next season will be very very difficult for us, both Manchester clubs will improve no end, and Tottenham with there youthful team are getting better and better every season, if our rivals are spending 200 + million to win leagues then we have to match them or risk losing out.

Willian is so important to our squad as is Pedro and Matic and Alonso and Cesc. the list of players who some people decide are not good enough. some of our fans are so naive it beggars belief.
