I am hoping the news about Sarri is media nonsense but it appears more and more outlets are going with the narrative.

It seems true. Rather being negative about it get behind the team.

Getting behind the club and team isn’t an issue for me and I’m sure that’s the case with ALL Chelsea supporters.
I feel objective criticism of a players performance, the clubs executive or manager are all, on occasions, valid.

I don't think having an opinion about the next manager is negative anymore than questioning the philosophy of those running the club or for that matter commenting on the performance a player as long as it is balanced.
In the case of Sarri one of the Eds has already pointed out a serious downside to the man and he has never won a trophy in his career and he isn't exactly a young manager.

Why would Napoli sack someone 3 days before he takes on a new job and waiving a release clause or compensation money
Plus he didn't want to leave Napoli
Plus why did they sack him it was there best year in years so he must of been doing something that upset the board
The last thing CFC need we aren't exactly popular with media
So to have a guy that could potentially shoot his mouth off and affect media sponssorship and other forms of income
I don't want him
He's never won anything his team bottled it this year and weren't great in Europe
Yes he plays attacking football
There has to be better options
I'd rather benitez back than sarri.

I sincerely hope your information is wrong.
I will be disappointed that our club could appoint such politically incorrect man.

There seems to be a lot of negative vibes here about Sarri being very close to being appointed as our manager. Not for once will Chelsea appoint Sarri without the guarantees over his behaviour which they have done with former players.

What he has said in the past was wrong but let's leave that in the past. We have had former players and legends do things a lot worse than the damage Sarri has done with his mouth. However, we are very easy to forgive a few former players because they are legends to us. Mourinho's incident involving the female doctor was bad, even worse he poked the late Vilanova's eyes out and yet we hire him for the 2nd time and no one said anything back then. Terry, Cole, etc have all done bad and got bad publicity.

So let's get off the negative bandwagon and accept the manager the club appoints. The club is making a very bold choice for once, we should see a new dimension to our football, Sarri is renowned for attacking football, high press with a lot of possession. Surely It can't be that bad, and better than all the defensive dross we have witnessed over the years.

do you think a few napoli boys will follow him. 1 in particular would be cahill or luiz out koulibaly in😁 maybe hysja the right full back too offer zapa in return with cash maybe? interesting summer ahead either way that's for sure napoli nearly won the league an appointed ancelotti so if we get sarri i highly doubt wel sign any of the stars.

Fred to United is really good deal, a younger Fernandinho, would of done well at us, can do all the jobs in midfield. Need this manager and director of football mess sorted ASAP before others start shopping n we still doing interviews.

I don't see anything he can do that MvG or RLC can't.

I am thinking the same thing too. Other clubs would have cherry picked all the good players before we get our manager and Director of football issues sorted.
Eg. Arsenal serious for Seri
- Liverpool serious for N. Fekir etc.

Our club will sell players and buy players but I hope they leave places open for likes of RLC, Odoi and Mount.
Van Ginkel is interesting as I’m sure he would be a better option than Drinkwater.

Sarri's £7m release clause is due to expire at the end of this month, so maybe we might need to wait until month-end for any serious activity (that is if Chelsea will be announcing Sarri as its next coach) ; but its looking like Chelsea's going to pay Conte off cos there's no club looking to take him off our hands at the moment.

obinna, Sarri is currently unemployed so his release clause is the grand sum of ZERO.

The guy is a free agent.

As far as I'm aware Sarri is still employed but to zero capacity so I think there is a release clause there.

Having looked at the comments made by Sarri I can't believe our club would consider his appointment.
His comments are outrageous and disgusting.
He may well be a good football coach but I don't want that sort of person as manager of our club.

Finally, some sense on Sarri. Thank you TomB. I've been arguing with the plastics and fanboys on social media about his vile comments for a couple of weeks. You could argue that Conte arrived with the match-fixing allegations, but the club must have got assurances from him that he would be cleared on appeal as he was innocent. Sarri is an impending PR disaster and total embarassment in waiting followed by FA bans and suspensions. Bonanza time for the press here.

tom b, i agree 100 percent on your point. if we sack conte it has to be allegri for me louis enrique not a hope any he won easy titles as Barcelona coach cause he had messi saurez at his peak an neymar dat doesn't make him a good mAnagerfor me.

I agree with you on Sarri, bearing in mind what is happening with a couple of our former youth coaches, I can believe that we would seriously entertain Sarri. When Conte leaves (this looks extremely likely) I'm sure we can make a wiser choice. I would like to see somebody prepared to give opportunities to RLC, Hudson-Odoi, Ampadu etc. If that means a couple of years without a trophy, then so be it. We need a sustainable future, not just chucking money at it year upon year.

Poch has just signed an extension. Guess he was never really an option, but no doubt he'd been an excellent choice. Really hope clearance is provided soon!
