ed002, could you please shine some light on the Neymar saga, from what I understand its due to his contract running out (even though he said he wouldn't leave for free) and finally do you foresee a Chelsea Bid for the player?

Thank you

Hello Ed, and fellow Chelsea fans.

Hope everyone is well.
Anyways a couple of question for when you have the time please Ed,

1. Reports are saying Santos may now be forced into the sale of Neymar Jr and that they have accepted two bids from Real Madrid and Barcelona, seeing has we were an interested party and with Falcao and Cavani Seemingly heading elsewhere would you think we may come in with an offer of our own or is it a little more complicated then that?

2. Rafeal Varane has been hugely impressive at Real Madrid and Jose seems to rate him very highly have we shown any interest or for now is our attention mainly on the CB's you've mention over the last few weeks. (personally i'd love to see Papodopolous, excuse the spelling. )

3. Are you aware of any developments regarding Aumbanyang in regards to where he will heading I know you said there was a lot of interest besides us in trying to secure his signature.

4. Finally seeing how the club still have some interest in Isco (i know youve doen this to death) but with him probaley going elsewhere could attention turn to Thiago Alcntara do Nascimento or Gerad Deulofeu Lazaro or is attention mainly being focused on Cb's And additions to the forward line.

Thank you for taking time to answer keep up good work.

BlueBen {Ed002's Note - (1) It is not quite as simple as that but there are offers on the table from both Real Madrid and Barcelona. There would still be some considerable negotiation to be done but Santos has been pushed in to a corner and will almost certainly need to sell this summer. Santos are expecting a further offer this weekend. (2) I don't see there being any chance of Real Madrid selling Varane but if he became available there would be plenty of interest - including from Chelsea. (3) There is interest from Anzhi, Chelsea, Dortmund and by Fiorentina, and I suspect Manchester City and Arsenal will look again as an alternative to Jovetic. (4) Doubt it.}

Thanks ed, Just has i'm typing this I have just read a report on a website saying we have Officially bid 34 Mil & Torres for Cavani can you confirm this or is it shoddy journalism thanks again.

enjoy your weekend fella.
Blueben {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath Ben.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed, what do you mean by 'I would not hold your breath '? Sorry, I don't understand because I came from somewhere at the edge of the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

All the reports say is that the bids for Neymar as suspected to be from Real Madrid and Barcelona, are they definitely or is that just speculation?
Thanks
Liam {Ed002's Note - See above.}

From China perhaps?

Not sure how much legs has it, but I wholeheartedly would love to see De Rossi in Chelsea blue. Hardly ever there comes a player so dominant in his positional trade. I know the fifa video game fanclub cares about the age and that kind of stuff, but at 29 he has easily got 3-4 great years ahead of him. That's an eternity in modern football.

Also, while i'd be excited by the possible arrival of Isco, I sadly can't see how could we accomodate him Mata, Hazard and Oscar. Add the possible arrival of Schurrle, also add Moses, hopefully DeBruyne, there comes a big big competition for minutes.

I said it numerous times here and will reiterate that the best possible striker deal for Chelsea is for Cavani. With Benitez there and with possible interest in Torres, I hope the transfer can be done. If not, i'd be happy with a strikeforce of Lukaku, Aubmeyang, Ba and Schurrle.

Oh and for defence - Varane would be amazing. But that would require him handing in a transfer request and the Mou factor to work, also. Remember they paid around 8 million for him while aged 17. Don't see would they want to sell, otherwise.

I agree to a large extent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku and De Bruyne likely to go on loan. So we could theoretically get both Cavani and Aubmeyang and then move Ba on next year when Lukaku returns. The same with Isco or another AM.

Agree0 Disagree0

FIFA fan boys? Players pushed too youngg have shorter careers proven.

Neymar only has two offers, one from Real Madrid and one from Barcelona, and his decision is imminent. Chelsea have given up, judging by the lack of an offer.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

His best off in Spain. He'd get snapped in two in prem. But I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea made bid to.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not surprised to be honest, I think he would be a pain in the arse anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everytime I watch Brazil, Oscar outshines Neymar. In my opinion Oscar is a far better player than Neymar and we need to concentrate on strenghtening other positions; centre back, midfield enforcer and an out an out 20 goal a season striker in the premier league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone said Oscar wouldn't stand a chance in the PL but he's doing well, i'll be happy when he signs for someone, the whole transfer saga is getting boring now

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Neymar is too lightweight for a physical premier league, remember robinho. It would be another massive expensive mistake if he came.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hazard is a different class to Neymar! I couldn't care less about him, flatters to deceive every time I watch Neymar!

Ed I remember several years ago in 2010 I think it was, West Ham bid for him. Was that ever a possibility? {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Overrated, he'd hardly score for chelsea, and I think he'd struggle at Madrid or Barca, but we'll see, it will be very interesting. I hope he proves me wrong

Just watched a video of Aubameyang on youtube and whilst I understand it's not an accurate representation of his skill, his pace is scary to say the least. I think one of the ed's mentioned that he's faster than Djibril Cisse. It could be the key to unlocking other teams defenses and allowing the trio more space and time on the ball. Not to mention the amount of through balls he could get on the end of. He could even play out wide as part of the trio. Definitely someone I think we should buy, perhaps alongside someone like Cavani etc.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I personally think he is very similar player to Thierry Henry, he could be amazing in prem

ed, do you who is interested in jackson martinez of porto? is chelsea one of them, thanks in advance {Ed002's Note - Porto are prepared to cash in on Jackson Martinez with varying levels of interest from Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Galatasaray, Juventus, Dortmund, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Porto will seek his full release clause of 40M euro but would likely need to settle for less. Two bids from Juventus were turned down.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Hasnt he just signed for Monaco?
One Bomb Tom {Ed002's Note - No.}

Monaco have signed t João Moutinho and James Rodríguez

Is there an interest in Luka Modric from Chelsea? I know you've constantly been saying in the past we weren't in for him, but maybe things have changed now with Mourinho? Cheers
