Hi eds do u know if chelsea are targeting a rb,rw,and striker still after we have just signed oscar? {Ed018's Note - Striker and RB remain a priority}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we do not get cavani ed018 who are the alternatives? {Ed018's Note - Possibly a player like Lewandowski could be looked at. Also if Hulk ends up signing he can play striker}

Agree0 Disagree0

Y cant we go 4 moura???

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure it is logical to assume that we are looking at a rb, rw & st because we are bidding for Moses and I don't believe Chelsea see him as a st so therefore must see him as a wideplayer. If we sign Azpilicueta, Moses, Hulk and Cavani this transfer window I think we will be brilliant next year!

The 20-year-old only moved to London from Racing Genk in a January deal worth a reported £7million, but he was immediately loaned back to the Belgian club until the end of last season.

De Bruyne had previously stated he wanted to compete for a first-team place at Chelsea in the 2012/13 campaign but, with opportunities likely to be limited, he is set to join Bremen.

The Bundesliga club have been holding negotiations with Chelsea and it is likely the loan will be agreed when the European champions return from a pre-season tour of the USA.

Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs told Kicker when asked about interest in De Bruyne: "I can confirm that. We are to work out a loan switch.

"We have had many discussions and some talks lately and I feel we are at an advanced level regarding this loan deal."

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I am a bit disappointed at this move, it has long been thought that he would move out this season but tbh i was hoping not only for a move to a prem team, but also for him to have a chance with the team until Jan possibly. He has played fairly well in pre-season thus far, and could have a role in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you just copy and paste from the news pages we all see them anyway you just fill the page with rubbish

Agree0 Disagree1

Dissapointed to see this hes worth a bench player all day long

Now the official chelsea site has confirmed that oscar has signed, the red tops will be waiting for his debut, when they will use the headline OSCAR RUNS WILDE.

Ed, are we interested in Stephan M'Bia as he has be Transfer listed by OM? {Ed002's Note - Are you going to ask this about every player who might be available?}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Nope, i just remember you saying, we are interested in a centre back and he is a good centre back who is available.

Also it's not like i've asked if we are interested in Steve Gohouri or some random East Stirling player is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

You just did then

From my understanding on questions asked by fans and the respective answers given by Ed, i think we should be expecting azpilicueta, moses oscar and most probably hulk to arrive this summer. Nobody is 100% sure but most probably those signings will go through. I can now comfortably look forward for another entertaining season 2012-2013.
Thanks Ed002 and Ed018 for the great insights regarding transfer dealings, we do appreciate your work. Its tough to deal with some questions but you kept your cool.

Husseinm

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Im really struggleing too see hulk joining now to be honest too much messing about

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't see either Hulk or Moses joining. A small chance one of them might join but certainly not both

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, the issue of hulk is tough, cavani's cost is exhorbitant but i believe the club is discussing the matter. I guess either of them might wear the chelsea blue jersey this August. As Ed said, abt four players are expected to sign. Oscar has done it, three to go now.

Hey ED, got a few questions i'm wondering if you would answer?
1: Is there anything in particular that has prevented us from signing azpilcuetta already or is it just a matter of time?
2. Did Oscar pass his medical at Chelsea?
3. Is there any striker that Chelsea are particularly targeting in this transfer window or is it just dependant on discussions?
4. Is the interest in Lewandowski real?
Cheers {Ed002's Note - You need to understand that it would help a great deal if you could read the other posts rather than asking me. I really don't have the time to deal with thhese repeated questions. Anyway: 1. No. 2. No. 3. Read the posts. 4. Read the posts.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Azpilcuetta is unsure about playing in the Epl. Oscar had a medical in Brazil and the details of which were passed to Chelsea. Cavani and Hulk are the preferred option for upfront, both clubs have too high a valuation on their players at the moment. Lewandowski is on Chelsea's radar.

No. 9

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed,

Lots of talk about more offensive options coming with the possible likes of Cavani or Hulk, Moses, Willian etc... However if Chelsea are truly going to challenge on all fronts especially for Premier title and Champion's League are we strong enough in defensive midfield. We have Ramires and Lamps that can play holding but Essien if truly healthy can play defensive. To me Mikel is slow of foot and a very weak passer and really does not tackle well. Would we not be better spending some money on the likes of a player like M'villa or Felaini or Capoue or De Jong etc... to have a true midfield destroyer Your thoughts? {Ed002's Note - And Romeu?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Ed.

I love what Chelsea have done so far with additions of Hazard, Marin and probably Oscar. Great creative players. My concern is without an addition or two of the likes of Moses, Cavani or Hulk are we able to take the physicality of the premiership for a whole season size and strength seem to be a potentil issue do you think?

Agree0 Disagree0

OH MY GOD original post your questions are all our page has been talking about the last couple of days

ed have we made a new bid for moses and will it be our final bid. also do you know whos targeting moses, is it emelano or does di matteo recommend him
thanks
also if azpilicueta doesnt come do you think well go for debuchy {Ed002's Note - There is an offer with Wigan for Moses at the moment. Perhaps with a little negotiation it will be accepted. I would assume for now that a deal will be made for Azpilicueta.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

9 mills been offered if im correct on that one team will have to budge considering whelan wants 10 mill and i bet it isnt us

25 Jul 2012 13:41:11
Still to come...Azpil.,Oscar,Moses and maybe Willian

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Chelsea are after a RB which will 80% be azpilcueta. A striker hopefully cavani but long shot, and
Maybe two squad players, Moses and 1 other, I'd personally love to see axel witsel!,

Do we have any interest in Van Persie? If so have we done anything about it. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable6 Unbelievable4

24 Jul 2012 20:45:40
ED002 a couple of questions for you

1) Have Napoli rejected our bid for Cavani? Or do you think it will be rejected?

2) Who are the other options if we cannot sign Cavani?

3) is it true Oscar will complete his move before the olympics? {Ed002's Note - Napoli suggested a much larger number. Other options are as previously discussed. I cannot say when transfers will complete with any confidence.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Hey Ed, is Chelsea willing to go up to the number Napoli gave? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it but there may well be another offer made.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What 70 plus million i hope not {Ed018's Note - Nothing saying Chelsea need to offer 70 million}

Hello Ed,
i have the following questions:
1. Would we bid for lucas moura again considering the push from Man Utd?
2. how well have the talks between clubs gone so far regarding Cavani ... as i last heard the clubs were discussing price and have there been any further discussions ?
3. besides Cavani and Hulk, are there any other strikers we are looking at right now?
4. Battersea Ground - what is the latest update ... are we trying to establish our home ground there
5. at this time are we looking to any other Right Backs besides cesar ?
6. our midfield looks strong ... are we adding to our squad this transfer window? who are the midfielders we are looking to at this time

Thnx ed for all your works on the site ... hope they pay u well. {Ed002's Note - (1) The push from MUFC is not the issue - Chelsea made a bid at the start of the year that reflected the value of the player to the club. Chelsea are not going to overpay. (2) Chelsea made an offer a while back and Napoli gave a rather different figure that would be acceptable. (3) There has been interest in several - all of which have been discussed. (4) There is nothing new about the ground - the local council want the talk again with the club about Stamford Bridge. (5) I assume you mean Azpilicueta. He is the most likely to arrive. (6) Oscar will very likely arrive.}

Hi Ed002,

Could you please explain the situation regarding Falcao at At Madrid? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of a "situation". Sorry.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We're Chelsea interested and are they still ? {Ed002's Note - If he became available at the right price Chelsea would eb one of the clubs interested in Falcao.}

Hiya Ed I just heard Thorgan Hazard is going to get loaned out to a Prem club for Prem experience for the year and then return for next season and have a crack at the first team. Norwich are interested and I think it would be a good club for him.

EuroChampsBlues17

Believable5 Unbelievable1

He's not ready for the Prem

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Norwich would be a good club for him for the year and hopefully then link up with Eden for next year!

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be amazing to see him week in week out in the prem, I hope this is true!

Agree0 Disagree1

He is ready for the prem first replyer

i agree with the last 2 people on what your saying

Hes played less than 15 games in his last two years at lens combined. Keep in mind this is a team that's in the second league in France.

Ed 002 Given you think it unlikely we will sign Cavani, do you know which strikers the club are now considering?
Thanks. {Ed002's Note - I don't recall saying that about Cavani?}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Yesterday you replied to NW Blue question about Cavani & Hulk saying you were pretty sure they would not sign,
or have I misunderstood? {Ed002's Note - I did not say that. This is the problem when people keep asking questions like "will both sign" or will "Cavani and Hulk sign". I may have said "both" won't sign but would not have said "neither" will sign.}

Agree0 Disagree0

That's because you didn't Ed

FT9

Agree0 Disagree0

ED 002 OK got it so both Hulk and Cavani are still possible but signing both is very unlikely..which makes sense.
Seem remarkably similar situations with both clubs quoting ludicrous fees for the players.
Is one more likely than the other do you think?
Thanks for your patience. {Ed002's Note - I am not getting in to grading likeliness.}

HEY ed!. haven't asked anything in a while but I was wanting to know. after seeing good things from the first couple of pre season friendlies, do you know if many more players will be brought in. i know we still definitely need a right back but in the way of midfield and attack i think imo we are quite solid. do you have much knowing of how many more players the club are wanting to bring in? or will they look to offload a few more before bringing more in? sorry if that's quite broad!

Melbourne CFC fanatic!!!! {Ed002's Note - I would think four will arrive. That is the plan.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Four inclusive of Marin, Hazard, Oscar and Azpilicueta? Or in addition to the latter? {Ed002's Note - It was a clear answer to the question. I would expect four will arrive from now.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Moses, Oscar, Azpilicueta and Cavani.

If all goes to plan.

IB.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yer i agree IB

id be happy with those additions

curt

Agree1 Disagree0

Was the prof given to chelsea completely outrageous for vagabond by napoli, are negotiations going to be difficult to get a price of which would suit chelsea, also does cavani want to leave?
Blue blood {Ed002's Note - I don't know what the player wants but Chelsea remain intereted. The price provided was considerable.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard cavani werent happy they sold lavezzi and would be happy to go too dont know how true it is though

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Cavani's agent said yesterday that his client wants to leave the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

IB has it spot on....

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses, Cesar, Oscar and either Hulk or Cavani.

And at this time I think Hulk is the more likely

FT9 {Ed002's Note - You mean Azpilicueta.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i agree with IB

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, who are this four that u think will arrive.sorry pls {Ed002's Note - I am not getting in to this - it should be obvious what the options are.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I really don't get why people want Victor Moses. Criminally over-rated at £10mill. I'd take him as a benchwarmer for £4-5mill but no more. Azpilicueta, Oscar and a striker only if Lukaku goes out on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

ED,cant we sign both hulk and cavani?cus they both play the same position,i would av love to seethe 2 of them at bridge

PURE {Ed002's Note - I think it most unlikely.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally grew with the comment about Moses. HE AIN'T NEEDED!

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses isn't even any good. And overpriced. Might as well give a youngster a go - e.g. kakuta/piazon

Agree0 Disagree0

Kakuta is not good enough.

Moses and Piazon are quite different.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

We shouldn't be buying places cause they are "different". We already have Sturridge, who to me, is identical to Moses except slightly better. {Ed002's Note - Identical but different.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with ib put I don't think Moses is worth more 5m
Blue aero

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok let's buy 15 strikers then.

Moses offers a different approach to Sturridge. He is more creative and tactically has more sense.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we have got Oscar now who offers a "different approach", so I don't think Moses is needed for attack mid role. If we are buying him as a bak up striker I think we should be looking for someone of much better quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sao Paulo making a lot of noise on Moura and Manchester United but have said virtually nothing about Chelsea. Have we dropped our interest? Will we make another offer? Or is Hulk the preferred target now so we will not be renewing our interest in Moura? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - See other answers.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Moura's staying at sao paulo

Agree0 Disagree0

To clarify: Was our previous offer higher than United's? Is that offer still 'on the table'? {Ed002's Note - It is all past.}

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2012 01:37:05
Chelsea looking at doumbia and I believe we need him as backup and at age 24 he is great over 3 seasons at 3 different clubs he ha golden boot each time . He went flat after African cup of nations but has regained his form,,, with studge and Torres we should loan out lukaku witha clause saying we can bring him back anytime .............. What do u think editor {Ed002's Note - There was an enquiry from Newcastle and a failed offer from Lazio in January for Doumbia. Other clubs have had scouts at games but that is some way from making any serious enquiries for the player. Doumbia does a good job of talking himself up and CSKA will likely want £25M or so for the player as there is no pressure to sell. Napoli, Roma and Arsenal are interested in the player but have yet to make any financial proposal and rumours persist of interest from Chelsea and Spurs. Someone putting a bid on the table will make this much more high profile - and it could be one that drags on all summer.}

Believable3 Unbelievable4

There is also the issue with his age, as there is belief that he could be as much as a decade older than he says.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dude lied about his age, he is atleast 30 according to what i heard and believe. So, he wont last long imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont claim he's lied without actually knowing the truth

all africans are claimed to lie about there age

Hey ed hope all is well,

Just have a question regarding Lucas Moura i no your proberly fed up of talking about him but reading reports today sao paulo are happy to enter negotations with anyone who can meet £30 mil price tag they are asking. seeing has how manchester united seem to have reached there limites on what they will pay is there a chance we may still have an intrest in him has he is an amazing young talent and prodomintly likes playing down the right and i no you said we had made two earlier bids i just would like to know even though we have signed Hazard and proberly about to sign Oscar would we possibly still go back in for moura ?

BlueBen

cheers matey take care {Ed002's Note - The situation with Lucas Moura is very complicated and it could drag out all summer and come to nothing. Chelsea made two bids earlier in the year and Inter also made a bid in January. Real Madrid looked to a deal involving another player going in exchange but that came to nothing. His agent would prefer a part ownership deal with Inter. Manchester United remain interested in the player but probably not at a price that is acceptable to Sao Paulo and I expect their bid would be unacceptable. I would not discount any of the clubs, nor would I discount him staying until the end of the year and discussions starting again in January. The feeling from someone in Brazil is that he thinks that Manchester United will probably not make any further offer for Lucas Moura as they feel they have already bid to the best value of the player. He cannot be certain there will be no higher bids but he can be certain that if there are then the club would be paying over the odds for the player.

Furthermore, thwere were discussions in Colorado in mid July which he was involved with surrounded a part ownership deal that would see the player move to Italy for two years at some point and then a full buy out of his rights resulting in either a sale or perhaps a move to the part owning club. It was considered to be impractical.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Aww sounds like a lot of hassel for an unproven player think the hiarchy at chels have made a good descion to look elsewhere to be fair.

thanks for the info matey muchly appriciated.

Eds do we have bids on the table for hulk and cavani and can you see both signing or would it be one of the two. It's looking like we have signed Oscar as well,so what's the situation with moses( are we going to bid again). Surely we must have had a bid accepted for a forward otherwise we would not be letting lukaku go on loan to fulham.
