Ed’s, any updates on the striker front/ new name should being branded about? Or is it the same suspects of mitrovic, Piatek and co

Feel like Morata should move on, the guy needs a fresh start back in Italy.

{Ed001's Note - I haven't heard anything new, not so sure anything will happen in that respect in January.}

Who do you think would be best suitable for us Ed?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Sarri likes a big point man to lead the line. In a lot of respects Giroud should be perfect but he is not playing too well. There is no real Drogba-esque player out there, which is the problem as that is what you are looking for. The more I think about it and see of him with Fulham, the more I think Mitrovic might be the best option. Though I would personally like to see a slight change in style and use a different style of striker, either a link man, who can then bring the two widemen into play more by giving them more space to attack or an Icardi/Mertens type, who will attack the space himself. We know Sarri had comparative success with that kind of forward, even if it wasn't his choice to play that way, as he bought Milik to replace Mertens up front.}

Ed001, I had scouted out a few names. I would love if you could tell us which of these strikers would suit our style.

1) Rodrigo Moreno
2) Mauro Icardi
3) Maximiliano Gomez
4) Piatek
5) Nabil Fekir
6) Anthony Martial
7) Marko Arnautovic
8) Alassane Plea
9) Andre Silva
10) Aleksander Mitrovic
11) Paco Alcacer
12) Timo Werner
13) Luka Jovic
14) Ciro Immobile
15) Michy Batshuayi

Thanks in advance, Ed001.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Fekir is not an out and out striker, he would be excellent for a withdrawn role, similar to Firmino for Liverpool.

Mitrovic is the stand out target man, but Arnautovic is a good shout, he is now playing in a way that would suit Sarriball down to the ground. Batshuayi is an odd one, he should suit but his touch seems to vanish in a Chelsea shirt.

Immobile is an interesting one, he could well fit perfectly, but there are times when he is more of a lamppost than a footballer.}

Thanks, Ed.
Have a good day!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I just had another look at Andre Silva playing and he is defo not the right man for Chelsea imo. Not for the way Sarri is looking to play, he is far too small to hold up the ball.}

Off the striker subject Ed but have you seen much of Chiesa? What's your thoughts on him? Looks a great prosepct to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I have seen him 3 or 4 times this season, though not 100% concentrating on the games. Personally I really like him, and noticed a couple of times when I was glancing at the games that he stood out.}

Ed001, the other 9 strikers on the list that you didn't talk about - are they a poor fit for our system or have you not watched enough of them?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - sorry I should have made that clear initially. I am undecided on Rodrigo, he certainly has something but I need to watch more of him. The rest are not really at their best holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Werner reminds me of a much better version of Loic Remy, in that he is at his best when running onto the ball and looks uncomfortable when he is asked to get involved in the build up. He wants to just burst in behind from outside to in. He would be better in a wider position for Chelsea from what I have seen.
Jovic is the one I have not watched anything like enough of. In fact I can only remember seeing him play once.}

Think this summer could see a lot of changes Cesc and Cahill on the last years of there contracts moses, Zappa, Drinkwater maybe Morata Giroud and bats moving on also
What I’d like to happen
Mount for Fàbregas
James for Zappa
Cho for Willian providing he obviously signs a new deal
New cb as Luiz is pushing on although would love Ampadu to get his chance before we go and buy anyone have Christensen but if Cahill goes he’ll need replacing he’s been a brilliant signing for us through the years
Rlc I’m not sure he’s all the ability just not the work rate would love to see him as a box to box like he was when he was in the youth team
Anyone know how Jake Clarke Salter and jay da Silva are getting on in there respective loans
Would love any of the Ed’s input or thoughts on players that would improve the team/ squad.
