Hey Ed,

Is it true that Edinson Cavani is capable of playing on the right of the attacking trio behind the striker?
MB {Ed018's Note - I guess. I've only seen him play as a center forward though the last few seasons}

chelsea to sign:
victor moses £5m
hulk £38m
ben arfa £18m
total cost = £61m

Believable10 Unbelievable27

Only realistic one there is hulk

cant see moses joining

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben Arfa won't join, plus you forgot the right back

Agree0 Disagree0

Be great if we sign all 3. cfcblueboy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely no point signing three more attack minded mids. We already has Hazard, Mata, Marin and Piazon coming through the ranks. I'm still unsure whether we need to buy any offensive players.
MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Three guys playing in the same position.....makes sense.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Can only see moses....

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we sign ben afra for 18m he's overrated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great 3 more right sided attackers, plus 5 right sided were goin all out attack ffs BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

Why post a comment from as if it were yours?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben arfa.... really?

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Hulk and Moses

Agree0 Disagree0

Taken straight from caughtoffside.com

Agree0 Disagree0

We may well sign 1 of those 3 players but no way any more than that

I've read a few days ago that Chelsea are interested in Srna, is that correct?

Cheers mates

Believable1 Unbelievable10

At 30 years old?

Agree0 Disagree0

It was my reaction when I first saw the rumor, I think it's just another nonsense rumor.

Cheers mates

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure theres been interest in him for years, dont see it happening though

ED reports in France say we were interested in Giroud but he chose Arsenal instead is this true? {Ed002's Note - No. Lyon, Marseille, Valencia, Newcastle, Villarreal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Fenebahce, Bayern Munich and particularly Malaga and Arsenal have shown an interest.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Well Ed, why did Giroud say in an interview that he turned Chelsea down then? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea made an enquiry of his agent but not Montpellier. That was it.}

Spanish newspaper reporting Modric agreed a deal with Real Madrid, any truth in this ED? {Ed002's Note - I don't know that any deal has been agreed but Real Madrid were one of the three interested clubs. They have been looking to including a player in the deal.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Pity would have loved him at the Bridge but Hazard looks very classy and if we get Hulk who looks the business on utube I will be well happy he is nearest thing we will get to the Drog for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Drogba was an out and out striker. Hulk plays as a RW for both club and country. While I am aware he has been deployed as a striker in the past, it is not his preferred position and Chelsea are not purchasing the player as a striker.

To say he is nearest thing to Drog is pretty ridiculous, although when you also say you've only seen him on 'utube' shows your level on player knowledge.

Don't suppose you know which player ED? Sahin? Thanks {Ed002's Note -Diarra or Kaka.}

We have been here before but Chelsea and Porto set to agree a figure of 35mill for Hulk. Hulks agen Teodoro Fonseca today quoted as saying "I cannot guarantee Hulk will still be a Porto player in the next few days"

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Where did you see this then? Joe17

This might seem a bit of a strange shout but how about C Maggio from Napoli. He could provide cover at right back plus play right wing with width and pace which is what we have been lacking the past few years. Also their is the Italian link with Di Matteo ehh....... What do you guys think about this? {Ed018's Note - he's 30 years old now and Chelsea are trying to bring in younger players. i don't see him being a realistic option}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I know the Chelsea are trying to bring in younger players but lets not forget how valuable experience is in a team. We saw how valuable the old guard were last season!
MB {Ed018's Note - yes i agree, players like Lampard, Terry and Cole will all continue to play a big part. I just think there's better options than Maggio}

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was younger, definately yes. Looks a cracking player bombing up and down the flank!

Agree0 Disagree0

More of a winger than a right back anyway, I would prefer Azpilcueta, Clyne or Pizscek

Still? Might be time to change your sources mate.

Ed, why is it, that when a club from spain or italy buy a player from within those countries, the fee is normally lower than if they sell to an english club? for instance, jordi alba has been sold to barcelona for something like 12m euros, but if he went to a premier league club, he would go for something like 25m. another example is bojan who joined roma for 12m. Even fabregas went for a lower amount than what english players go for. What i'm basically asking is, do they have a better relationship with selling players to italy or spain than anyone to england. in england the english players go for a fortune, carroll, henderson, downing etc..

Dave {Ed002's Note - Bojan's fee is much more complicated than perhaps you realise - but wealthy English clubs are charged more - particularly by certain teams.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I was pleasantly surprised by Mata's fee which was reportedly £23.5m, and David Silva's (£24m). Given how much we usually pay I had expected upwards of £30m for the player. Would it be fair to say that Valencia aren't an 'extortionate' club unlike say, Porto, who drive a hard bargain? Or are there other reasons for the relatively reasonable fees Valencia negotiates apart from poor negotiating skills?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the situation with fabregas was arsenal were tires of his circus act with barcelona and got all that they possibly could from barca but that still wasnt a ton.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Valencia were nearly crippled financially following their slide down the league and other factors. In that sense they have negotiated more sensible fees for their star players....

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to respect the way Barcelona do business. They come in saying they will only offer so much, and the fact that everybody wants to play for them tops it off. Clubs really don't have much power when a player only has a year left on a contract and the player himself expresses a desire to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Roma not buy Bojan for 40m euro's with an initial payment of around 12m?

Looks like Moses is on his way, Dave Whelen and Moses agent involved in a bitter war of words today. He doesnt get the juices flowing for me but for around 6mill must be a decent buy for the squad. He was excellent at the Emirates when Wigan won there towards end of season

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Moses is not a player Chelsea sould be buying, not good enough, thats the start, midddle and end of the conversation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses is a quality young player who rinsed our defence home and away last season
