don't know why we aren't in for Aubameyang a great player exciting to watch and good finisher. does his attitude put Chelsea off?

I don't think Antonio Conte likes Aubameyang.

Wheelycfc, if I might ask you, What makes you say, Conte won't be at Chelsea next year?

If michy on loan and we snatched aubamayang and dzeko . We would have 3 proven strikers, morata has the link up the intelligence and is quick, dzeko would be the target man the big strong striker defenders would be pushed and pulled about dealing with. aubameyang would be that blistering pace on last man or wide forward, who would suit in front 3 or front 2,

We all know conte isn’t going to be there he knows it and the board know it. Never settled in England and will have offers from psg Madrid Bayern all in summer with more control over transfers etc,

just I don't believe he will. doesn't look happy at all. plus I think he will at PSG or. Madrid. and money would be PSG.

Dzeko would be a good player, he is premiership ready. He’s proved he can do it. Also Palmieri I think will be good.
As a separate issue I think Antonio will go, mainly because he wants to go back to Italy. I have seen psg and Madrid are supposedly his next destination. I think this will not happen. He’s inferred he wants to return to Italy so why would he go to France or Spain. I think this is just paper talk.

ed001 have got any updates? or any news on Dezko n Emerson?

{Ed001's Note - nothing mate. You are still in talks with Roma though, unless something has changed over night, with a view to taking the pair of them. But I believe the Dzeko deal is unlikely and proving a sticking point, as they don't want to sell him right now, hence the club still looking around for a forward. Leicester are willing and happy to let Slimani go, as they do not see a future for him there, so that could well end up being the one brought in. Though I am not sure he would want to move for another bench role!}

why are we all of a sudden gone for buying the likes torres off our rivals to looking at fringe players at small clubs like burnley am west ham amd stoke its embarrasing the lack of ambition been shown.

{Ed001's Note - it is a back up being sought, that is why. Though I personally never like the idea of clubs buying squad players. It allows those in the team to rest on their laurels. For me every player bought should push those in the team already to improve, knowing that the new player is a potential replacement for them, rather than cover for when they are injured or need a rest.}

Slimani is not a bad option. He's flopped at Leicester, but was considered a very good player and a stral prior to the move to Leicester.

in my humble opinion this must be just to tide us over for a very short period of time, until maybe the club will go big in the summer.
just a thought there is no way we can be looking at these players as long term back up replacments.

Well Slimani does offer a lot more than crouch or Carroll. He’s got a work rate unmatched by a lot of players and he can be a real handful for the defenders (in a Diego Costa lite type of way) . Not to mention his aerial ability. All in all I’d say he’d be a good plan B or C, but that depends on the price tag and if he wants to sit on the bench (albeit a better bench) .

Dzeko scored 72 in 115 games for city and I would suggest a lot of them were as a sub or being a sub.
That's a good return for a second string striker.

I agree with you on that . I reckon he is an awesome striker and has got an eye for the spectacular too as we have seen first hand. He will not be available for the Barcelona game though will he?
