Hey ed has the club have any interest in Leandro Damiao? With Drogba likely to be leaving and Lukaku sent out on loan surely a new centre forward will be top of the clubs shopping list? {Ed002's Note - There is interest in centre forwards but not in Damiao right now.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Isit Falcao Cavani and Higuan who we want is there any other centre forwards ED? {Ed002's Note - There has been interest in Jovetic and a couple of youngsters as well.}

Ed002 what is going to happend with Benayoun? his contract runs out in the summer of 2013. {Ed018's Note - he will more than likely look to move on this summer}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I think Chels have offred him to arsnal for a million and want a decision buy the end of the week other wise they will look for other clubs, benyoun has expressed a desire to stay but only if he can get a 2 year deal at arsnal unlilkey considering his age but a posibility onsidering the bargin price.

Drogba if you read this, I salute you for your services to this club. Won't lie it has been frustrating to watch you at times, but like I said Saturday, If you could I'm sure you would bleed blue. You cleary love the club and everyone associated with it. Good luck for the future and I totally agree with what everyone else has said about wishing to see you back at the bridge some day. A true Chelsea legend, top guy!

Hi ED i personally think this Torres talk has been taken too far ,do you think he will have no doubt to remain a CFC player next season if Drogba doesn't sign a new deal? {Ed002's Note - I cannot say "no doubt" and it is nothing to do with Drogba.}

So now Drogba has decide to leave Chelsea as a winner, like some of you wanted. Even though he had his theatrics, what a great player he was. On his day he was just unplayable. It is always sad when great players, from which ever team, moves toward the end of their career. Having said that, I still think he has it, playing some where in China (if he does) would be waste of his immense talent.

Hey Guys/ED's,

Eden Hazard said this today:

"I'd like it if everything was sorted on June 2 so I can go on holiday with it sorted."

I guess we'll all know where he's going by 2nd June then.Samir

The guy who took the interview said Torres definitely doesn't want to leave but is uncomfortable with his role. Absolutely doesn't want to leave.
Gourlay has also said Torres is going to stay with Chelsea.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Well there was an interview with torres on the chelsea parade, and he had a massive smile on his face. Either he is an amazing actor and can put on a front, or hes just trying to force himself into the team. I want him to have the forwards role next season, he has big boots to fill, but I truely believe, with the right signings to compliment him, he CAN fill them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch dressing room celebrations from chelsea tv on youtube facup, hes sitting in the corner on his own,
he went mad on the pitch in munich fair enough but at the parade he stood on his own alot ,i do feel for the bloke now drogs gone (enless a top top striker is signed) he should have the leading role up front with no pressure on him,just hope he gets abita luck next season where ever he ends up hopfully with us!

carefree

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a quiet guy, doesn't mean he dislikes the club. I''m sure he would of celebrated like that at Liverpool, thats if they had won anything.

Rowan

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the reason he celebrated less in FA cup is due to it being against Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way torres will be leaving is if abramovich is offered the deal for torres 15 mil for falcao im pretty sure he is the only ST Roman would consider a swap for next year torres will have the right sort of supply and he will be up there in contention for golden boot soon has he is told is is the flag bearer all this talk will die down

Do any teams have an interest in Younes Belhanda of montpellier? Not on to throw out random names but I would say he is the second best player in the french league after hazard.

Devon. {Ed002's Note - There is confirmed interest in Belhanda from Inter, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Roma. The player says he wishes a move to Italy or Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Italy Germany is not possible (seems he is not really sure where he wants to move to). A price of 30M euros has been quoted by Montpellier.}

The most critical position to be filled in our team is that of a deep lying playmaker. Ballack was the player who previously held that position and we have failed to replace him and hence struggled in the league.Signing a player for that role must be the priority in the summer.There are very few players who can take up that role.The quality options are :
Javi Martinez
Modric
Yaya Toure(probably unavailable)
Joao Moutinho
Elm
Strootman
Sneijder
Bastian Swientsinger(probably unavailable,but my favorite pick)
Tiago Alcantra
Any one of the above will be fine and we have Piazon ,who will gradually take over that role.Guys, do post your picks and opinions.
roan

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Josh mcechran can and should fill that role, and piazon is more of a 2nd striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me it will be Modric because he will be determined to leave. He missed out on joining us last year and therefore missed out on winning Champions League and FA Cup (must be so annoyed at Levy and Redknapp). I think signing Modric would be a top piece of business for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Schweinsteiger or toure definitely won't happen. Modric or moutinho look most likely. My personal preference would be Martinez. Also I think Paizon is more of an attacking player rather than deep lying
Trout

Agree0 Disagree0

Almost all of those players are rather attacking mids and are not on our radar! also, Lucas Piazon is a support striker!

Eds now we have won champions league,qualified for next year.Does this mean there is extra transfer funds availableike 100m upwards.Also would we be interested in buying both hazard and hulk,or one of the two.Also I thought lampard was fantastic in the final,looked like he was playing a holding midfield role.Maybe using him there next season would be a good option as we now have ramires with bags of pace. {Ed002's Note - It makes no difference to funds.}

Hey ED,

The Sao Paulo President has literally just said that Chelsea have submitted a bid of £32m for Lucas Moura. Apparently Sao Paulo are considering the bid now.

Any thoughts ED?

Samir {Ed002's Note - The bid is 5M euro higher than the previous bid but there is nothing agreed.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

The way it was phrased by both ED002 and SP makes it sound like an auction rather than a series of negotiations. Is this the case? {Ed018's Note - Sao Paulo have no desire to sell Moura, so they may wait and see who is willing to bid the most}

Ed, i have read that Chelsea are favourites to land Lucas Moura, after offering 40million pound against Inters 25.

It it Man utd's official website which says it, for me this sounds crazy that they will post rumours on theyre own official website, plus they said it was the sao Paolo boss, Juvenal who has said that Chelsea have overbided Inter

Man outd's source was: FCInter1908.it which have made an interview with Juvenal

Any idea where Lavezzi is headin ed? Any english interest? {Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Lavezzi from several clubs including Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit, PSG and particularly Inter and AC Milan. I think it would take a very high cash offer - more than 30M euros, some trading or a third-party ownership deal bid to get Napoli to sell the player who is unwilling to extend his existing contract which runs to 2015. Inter have offered 15M euro plus Marco Faraoni, Goran Pandev and Joel Obi but that offer is not acceptable to Napoli.}

Hey ED, Hazard said this yesterday:

“It is possible that Chelsea’s arrival at the negotiation table will delay things, as nothing is done”

I thought Chelsea had a long-term interest? Because Hazard is suggesting that Chelsea have only recently confirmed their interest...

Thanks!

Samir {Ed002's Note - He is talking about the past week.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

So ed , Chelsea actually have upped there interest?! {Ed002's Note - Please see the other posts.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Samir, I think the thing you need to understand here is that those words were spoken by Hazard himself; also, they are the latest in a string of mixed messages which are making Hazard look increasingly foolish.

The club has not openly spoken about their interest in him however it is pretty clear from Ed's updates that he has been a long-term target.

Hi,ed everybody talking about hazard but what the situation about cavani? {Ed002's Note - There is none right now. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea maintain an interest in Cavani. As has been explained Real Madrid wished to fund a bid through selling Higuain in January to Chelsea and having Chelsea step back from bidding. Cavani has an initial preference for Madrid rather than London and apparently no interest in moving to Manchester. Probably something that will get more publicity in the summer.}

Congratulations to my fellow fans, well wisher and to my lovely club CHELSEA FC, I really desire to see Roberto Di Matteo continue his good job next season but since he knows how to manage player well, he should be allow to bring at least three to four player he feel he need to suceed in the coming season, while the club/owner can but an additional two or three players and maybe a promotion of key and need player from youth team to beef up the team while the likes of Essien, Kaluo, Lukak, Bruma, Van an Holt, Josh Mc Ecran, Kalas & cortious should be loan out while player like Maluda, feriera, Bosingwa & Sturidge can be sold out. that is if we want to realy succeed next seaon, then player like Drogba, Terry, Ashly Cole, Benayoun & Lampard should Stay because of their experience, thought they may not feature in all the matches, then the youth team should be used as a build-up for our team overhauling by making they the carling cup team, then no old player should feature for F.A cup matches so that we can use our probably upper seanson plan player for the F.A cup to test their strenght. We need a big and quality squard mixed with experience and young players since we will play every competition open to any premiership side. I want to see the greatness of this club to continue to grow, we deserve to be the best in the world but to acheive that we av to plan very well with a lot of discipline. Thank you

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I think we shd just play the youth in league and fa cups if we are drawn home to a lower league team. we should try and tie down drogba for 2 years or until he retires so he can just motivate youngsters and for them to learn from him like terry learned from desaily

I think we should forget about Hazard and try and land Neymar again this summer after the Olympics, it's starting to get very frustrating regarding Hazard and who he wants to join, it sounds like he wants to play teams against each other to get more money, I want players at Chelsea who want to be there not just for money.

FT9

Believable8 Unbelievable1

I almost always agree with you but I must say neymar would be no different.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

And how would that situation be different with Neymar? Both Neymar and Hazard come with egotistical baggage and are best left alone IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

The difference between Hazard and Neymar is it is Neymar's agent who does all the talking and not Neymar which to be fair is his job he wants the best deal for his client, unlike Hazard who is doing it all himself.

FT9

Agree0 Disagree0

I second we should live both alone so we can give our youngsters more time.. like lukaku and sturridge. if drogba stays>>>

Agree0 Disagree0

Neymar is way too weak to break it in the Prem. Hazard is more likely to be a success for Chelsea

Drogba is a legend and deserves all the credit he has got throughout his Chelsea career. But he is 34 years old and, big games aside, has not been a consistent performer for us this season.

It is finally time for us to fully commit to the rejuvenation project we so desperately need. Let Drogba go out on this unbeatable high, still adored by the fans. Now is the time for us to build around £50M Torres, who has been a great performer recently despite playing in a team set up for long balls to the Drog.

With players coming in like Marin, De Bruyne (and hopefully Hazard), Torres will flourish with their dynamism, counter-attacking pace and service on the floor. Drogba will not. Furthermore, with Drogba gone, Torres can rest assure his position in the club, feel confident and improve during what should be his peak years.

Drogba, thanks for the great service, but Torres is the future. He'll undoubtedly go down as a club legend, but now is the time to fully commit to the 'project' AVB couldn't quite get started.

Spot on bruv

Agree0 Disagree0

As Ed002 has said on here the Club will listen to offers for Torres which makes perfect sense to me.
Hes had a fair chance and hasnt taken it regrettably.
From our standpoint we cant afford another season of a non scoring striker if we want to challenge never mind win the title.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes apart from select moments Torres has not really don it, but in his defence the team has not played to his strengths I would give bring in players who will play to his strengths.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't have put it better myself. Torres is the future. It's fair to say that perhaps we haven't had the pace going forward that would allow us to unlock completely his best play. Marin, and any player we bring in should be looking to cater for him!

Just about recovered from that, not sure if it was worth going over couldnt find a ticket but the result makes up for it. Knew we'd win it been saying it since Napoli, massive for us we can push on now, if we diddnt win the consequences are quite scary, we could of done a Liverpool. Now i think players will want to join us and we can dominate!

To all the fans congratulating the team nice one, any win over the Germans is worth celebrating, to the idiots like 'puzzled', what planet are you on mate, we are the Champions of Europe and you're trying have a dig because one of your ex-players only played 35 odd minutes in the Final. Its pathetic. Im not even gonna go on your page for banter anymore, for the same reasons i dont go on Stoke's page or Fulhams page, its just not as much fun when you aint on the same level. We have the four teams in the Champion league who i think will stay top 4 for some time, then you've got Spurs/Castle/Everton and i dont even put you in that bracket. You're minnows, and we are Champions.

Why did Chelsea buy Lukaku, we should loan him quick, he is no replacement for Drogba but might be in a few years.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

You said it yourself, we signed him cause he has POTENTIAL to be Drogba's replacement. Real Madrid were strongly linked with him at the time we signed him so we had to move fast. I'm certain he'll be loaned out next season. Hopefully a premier league team will take him on, but the more likely destination seems to be Germany right now

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right he is no replacement for Drogba, but he develops properly he could be a lot better, he has the strength, pace, power and quick feet as well

People keep writing him off, but he's 19 years old for god sake.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2012 11:21:31
If Drogba goes then we cannot rely on Torres to lead our attack we need a strong anchor man up front. I think Hulk or Falcao would be great at that, just like drogba.

Believable8 Unbelievable13

NO WAY! Why would either come to chelsea after they finished sixth? Drogbas going as well so sturridge is going to be your man next season

Agree0 Disagree0

After finishing sixth? Not another bitter spud? Theyd join mabey because were kings of europe and won fa cup stay on your own page, its not a good look for you stop being sour

Carefree

Agree0 Disagree0

TBH hulk or falcoa no more neymar and hazard and maybe bale or modric or van der vart lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulk as always been interested and so has Modric as he handed in a transfer request. hazard is also interested but i think chelsea should go for a great striker like Ba or Cisse as now chelsea have Champions League football they may be interested in joining. Or Higuain

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah higuain is quality I agree we should be signing him

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulk tends to play out on the right for Porto, and since Robbie D has taken over, that's where we've been playing Ramires and he's been phenomenal there. Sturridge is also more than capable of playing there too although I'd like to see him play up to.

Falcao I'd love to see but from what I've heard he has no intention of leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, its been really annoying that sturridge hasnt played more; he is quality and has bagged loads of goals, even when he hasnt played that much

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest torres has shown bits of quality and just needs some natural attakers to back him up, and next year hopefully we'll have that, love to see lavezzi here to be honest. CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE

Agree0 Disagree0

CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE! yeah he would be great, but if we are going to buy someone like him then we gonna have someone like him to back him up yeah, because we dont have many who play in his style

Hey Guys,

Just a few more interesting quotes from Eden Hazard if your interested:

The Belgian international, when asked about
joining the Champions League winners,
said:

"That's possible. But until I pen to
paper I won't say where I'm going.
"Of course it makes you think as Chelsea
have won the Champions League"

"They're a big team and will be playing in
the Champions League next season."

He hinted Chelsea had promised him
regular football, adding:

"They have great players and I always said I wanted to be playing"

And finally:

"Nothing is done yet but it will happen
soon."

Curious........Any thoughts people?

Thanks!

Samir

Believable4 Unbelievable1

He just won't shut it, will he? Whoever has concer s over his attitude and tweeting personality, has all the right reasons to do so. Although i have no doubts that if he were to join those things would be managable.

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats true. Although he does have some attitude problems, i believe they can be easily managed at Chelsea. And also, all the top players have "attitude issues" (apart from Messi obviously), so this cant be TOO much of a problem. And also his pure quality heavily outweighs any attitude problems he obviously has.

Finally, its clear that Chelsea winning the Champions League has impacted his decision as to where he should go.

Therefore, the fact that Chelsea are the UEFA Champions League Winners, combined that Chelsea are willing to pay the highest transfer fee aswell as the highest wage fees at approximatley £200k per week means that ultimatley there is only one destination for Hazard: Chelsea FC. (Providing of course the Chelsea Director resolves his issues with Hazard)

However, I have no doubt that Man City will put up a fight for Hazard.

Thanks!

Samir {Ed002's Note - It is not a Director that has an issue with Hazard but an Advisor to the club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I know, Ed002 stays away from fees and wages questions, but i find it really hard to believe that we will pay anything close to what is being said a 200K a week. In my opinion it just won't happen. Also, i doubt a fee will be higher than 25 mil, given that the player wants to leave and Lille are willing to sell him at best available bid.

Keep in mind that only City pay anything above 200K in this country. I doubt we will just go and h*** up all the wage structure over someone we are not so sure of.

Imagine Balotelli and Hazard in one team it will be a disaster for them

Ed, is a possible player plus cash deal involving Torres plus 10-15 mil for falcao on the cards? {Ed002's Note - It is impossible to say what will happen.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Is falcao our number one target as a striker or are Cavani and Higuain still options? {Ed002's Note - All are still options.}

Agree0 Disagree0

21 May 2012 09:56:39
In my personal opinion we cant have Torres and Drogba and a new striker. If we are after Falcao then we need to sell both players, we bought Lukaku for 1st team football next year and cover for this year, well that is what i believed, we have a raw but very good prospect in Lukaku and Sturridge. Drogba has been outstanding for us but he has won everything he can with us now, lets remember him for his great season not 2 sub par seasons when hes 36. Torres wants to be the leading striker and i believe he can do it but if we are targeting Falcao he needs to be involved in the deal along with Cortouis going on loan along with De Bruyne.

Ed is the Hulk interest linked to the Hazard interest, by this i mean is it one player or the other and if so who would be our 1st choice? are we talking to Porto still?

Thanks

PB {Ed002's Note - I suspect Lukaku will go on loan. I have already explained the situation regarding Hulk and Hazard and I really do not want to get drawn in to any of this "who is favourite" discussion.}

Fair enough Ed but is it realistic for us to buy both?

PB {Ed002's Note - I am not going to get sucked in to making any statements in answer to compound questions. The situation with Hazard is clear the moment - why make it complex by bringing Hulk in to the equation?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not trying to make it complex im just saying if we are interested in Hazard then one would assume we would start negotiations with Lille and if were currently negotiating with Porto would we only want one and stop negotiations or are these players both separate targets and not linked that is all i was trying to find out. One or the other so to speak.

PB {Ed002's Note - Ignore the Hulk situation. I suspect that there is more chance of the Hazard issues being resolved soon (for example, tomorrow) than anything else right now.}

Ok thanks for your time

I wanted to warn people bout this whole hazard thing, it's same as neymar, robinho, pastore, now hazard, we all get out hopes up cos what the player says. If he comes he comes, but let's not hang off his every word. And if drogba bows out now it would be perfect for him, legend and best striker in world on his day,

Hey ed forgot to ask and would also like to hear the fellow opinions of some chelsea fans but have chelsea shown any intrest in possibly going after kyle walker seeing has spurs proberly wont keep that squad togther and we need a rb and all these rules commign into play about have a certain number of home grown players surley he would make for a better signing then VDW so yeah just wondering if anyone from chels showing any intrest in the lad. Thanks

He is happy at spurs he isnt currently interested in a big move or anything like that. I think Richards may be a chance from man city as he doesnt always get regular games and i think he may be interested in joining chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Walker would be a fantastic signing but Tottenham will do everything to keep hold of him so I think it's very unlikely

Ed, is it not more than likely that Chelsea will conduct there business in the transfer market after the euro's? The reason I ask is because it's been known on occasion for the euro's produce fresh new an exciting talent.

TrueBlue! {Ed002's Note - Transfer business is really on on going issue - sometimes an opportunity can be missed by waiting.}

Hazard to chelsea? Im pretty sure Man City will go all out for Van Persie, while united will probably get Dortmunds Kagawa. Would b a unbelievable deal if we could pull this off Also i have no doubts the Drog will leave so i just want to say thanks Drogs for all the memories. Hero

Hi eds , im sure you're getting quite fed up us asking about hazard , but is it very likely that we will know his destination tomorrow? Also can you fill us in on whether we would consider selling Ramirez?I really hope not! Cheers Danny {Ed002's Note - Tomorrow - no. RAmirez, only if he hands in a transfer request.}

Hazard : Man United ? Man City ? Chelsea ? "Je ne sais pas encore où je vais. Il n'y a rien de fait. Vous le saurez bientôt..."

Le person dans la décision de Hazard à cause de la qualif de Chelsea pour la C1 ? "C'est possible. ça fait hésiter."

Eden Hazard a reconnu que la victoire de Chelsea face au Bayern le "fait hésiter". "Ils sont qualifiés pour la C1, c'est ce que je voulais"

ED02 These are quotes from after the game what does he say? {Ed002's Note - What he says is that "Manchester United? Manchester City? Chelsea? I have made their fans look like morons. They are completely stupid to believe everything they read on Twitter and Facebook and then bother Ed002 with their nonsense - because he has much more important things to be doing. Their fish vibrate like the Manneken-Pis during the summer solstice.}

Brilliant comment Ed 002, even by some of your previously high standards -- clearly inspired to emulate Drogba and achieve legendary status with Blues supporters on this site!
