We Will sign Azpilicueta and Moses

We are trying very hard to sign a striker one will join, Cavani is our preference.

Any other players coming in will decide on departures.

Would like to see Oscar and Sturridge coming on at some point.

I'm not sure Mata will play. I'd expect Hazard in the middle, Rami on the right and Bertie on the left.

I didn't understand why we played Mata on the right and Bertrand on the left wing vs Wigan? We should have put Mata on the left and Sturridge on the right. At least then only Sturridge was out of his preferred position, as opposed to Mata pushed to the right as opposed to the middle or left and Bertrand playing further forward.

RDM still confuses me with his selections. Hopefully they work in the league this year. {Ed018's Note - this does seem like a good match to get Mata some rest}

We played bertrand on the left for his defensive ability, just like the champions league final. its so him and cole can double up on moses when needed, because he is a threat.

hi ed,pls i want to know how serious is the injury of marko marin and when is he expected to return....thanks and keep up the good work {Ed018's Note - i don't know the extent, but it is his hamstring and if you rush those to quickly they never go away. it looks like it will be after the international break he may be back}

Is that the september break when Mata is likely to be rested? We might need him during that period.

Cesar Azpilcueta to be unveiled during half time vs Reading is the plan. I have been told this by a apparant ITK, he has also given me 1 other piece of news but i'll hold back sharing to see if he got the Azpilcueta info correct. Im not convinced but he seems deadly sure so lets see tomorrow

Just saw the highlights of the Chelsea U21 game Vs Man City and i have to say i am impressed by a lot of the players.
Piazon and T.Hazard looked very good indeed, even though T.Hazard only played 20 odd mins he created chances and moved well. I really hope we get to see both in the senior team this season, possibly in the early stages of the FA cup or league cup. TBH i cant see Kakuta making at Chelsea with these two coming through the ranks, both look like they could be real stars.

Also impressed by Chalobah and George Saville, who both look like good strong midfielders (i know Chalobah is more likely to play CB but for the U21s he seems to be deployed in midfield more often). Saville is not one we hear about often and i was wondering if someone who watches more youth games than me can give me an opinion on him?

I was a bit disappointed by Bamford however, i have seen him before and he has scored some nice goals but did not look brilliant against City, again if anyone can give me an opinion on him based om more games that would be great.

^^ Not everybody is just a jumped up little gloryboy, some supporters care about the club from top to bottom. Good original post mate, we were miles better than City's u21s and were unlucky not to win. Chalobah and Piazon look potential stars and Thorgan Hazard showed glimpes when he came on he did a quality flick at the end.

I watch them alot, and i can say i agree with everything you just said, i just want to add that billy clifford has really impressed me with his versatality. And George saville is a proper ball winner and like to play it. I think the loan spells have ruined kakuta personnally. And i do hope that they get there chance this season or at least next season, cus they will want to be playing 1st team football, or we'll loose them...

These kids could be the future of the club you complete melt!

1.Mikel is a class player and 2.Just because Fellini had 1 good game doesn't mean we should waste money on him because Mikel is better

Even if Fellaini had misplaced every pass and got a red card yestreday he would still be better then Mikel. But Enough of Mikel talk, he is terrible but we are stuck with him so we should be talking about RB RW and Striker posistions which we need to fill.

Fellaini has been excellent for the past four seasons. Mikel hasn't.

The only way i'd start to enjoy watching Mikel is if he had a massive afro like Fellaini

At the Loserpool page I went to see if ED002 was replying to their posts and he was.

To be honest I dont blame Ed one little bit...this site is mustard...but If I was Ed I would get the right hump repeating myself every 2 seconds! When I read this site now...I skip passed as I read the players name involved and the amount of stabs in the dark rumours are a joke! we should enforce some rules. i.e. Ed can give a once daily update on current know targets. i.e. Hulk, Cavani etc...no need to pester for the same answer in a million different questions. Only genuine other rumours to be questions....even if Ed crushes them at least he put them to bed. and the rest of the time...we can discuss the Mighty Blues...etc... and whoever that person was who slagged Ed off...needs to get a life...if he has an issue dont come on the sight simple! If u agree, agree...if u dont then well....GO AWAY! Ed come back son...dont publish the repetitve posts and just do a daily update and get involved in Banter on the team and players!

It's a chelsea rumour site, not a ask Ed002 question site. Ed002 does an incredible job, and his knowledge is brilliant, but people should stop asking him repetitive questions. Ed002 will tell us if something has happened or if something is changing, and also don't dig at him. He has given up his time and effort for free to post on this site.

With Adam Johnson future looking unclear at MC I think we should take another look at him, he's HomeGrown, very talented and wants to win things, just the sort of player we could do with, I know we have quite abundance of attacking players but non quite like Johnson he is a crosser and a good dribbler, he would do great for us, thoughts fellow Chelsea Fans?

in this summer transfer window we are linked with so many players after Drogbas departure.
hulk/cavani/schurle/jovetic/moses.....
everyone has different opinion......
well right now what we need.....
a striker....?
a right winger....?
a striker who can play on right wing or behind our main striker torres....?
a right winger who can play as striker...?
bringing anyone of the above and expecting him to start in starting XI means keeping one of mata/hazard/oscar on bench.
for cheaper option we may bring moses but again he will be just decent squad player and will find it difficult to get place in starting XI.
among hulk/cavani i would go for cavani...
we will have plan b if he comes as he and torres can form better striking pair....
for first 55/60 mins of d game......

Thing is I know Torres doesnt want to be subbed, so he will likely start, however would Cavani like to be a late sub? He has a starting place at Napoli so it will be hard to temt him to join - Its diificult to put Torres and Cavani together, especially with a 4-2-3-1 formation ;)

If we haven't already, we really need to enquire about fellaini....awesome performance vs man u. I would have him over Mikel every day of the week!

Mikel is a useful player to have on board, we could all pick a better player for his position. But at the start of the summer all everyone was talking about was getting in strikers, wingers, play-makers and a right back. We cant do a QPR and redo the whole Champions of Europe team.

I think spurs are trying to throw a spanner in the works, seems avb trying to steal and delay our transfer targets, but they havent got the financial backing plus we are the euro champs, if i was a cavani i know where id go chels-E JJ
