A good 2-1 result for the blues considering we were 1 nil down the majority of the game, I still believe we lacked creativity and width. With Mata and Modric hopefully coming in I think the team will be complete. Is the Mata transfer all but complete? Any new news on modric? Thanks greatly appreciated.

With Alex looking to move to Juve before the end of the transfer window, Do you think we will try and bring in a CB like Dann or Cahill? {Ed002's Note - It is just possible that Chelsea may look to Cahill. The club is still looking to obtain a work permit for Rajkovic.}

What are the rumours surrounding Georgi Chanturie? Seems we had some interest in the past and he looks an amazing prospect. {Ed002's Note - This will be from when Merab Jordania took over at Vitesse I suspect.}

Eds, is it true that Arsenal have agreed a deal for Hazard in principle subject to Champions' League qualification or just a rumour? I suppose that would take him off the Chelsea list. {Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation with Chelsea and Hazard. There is no deal agreed with Arsenal just yet.}

Hi ed i know you probably would have been asked this before but I can't seem to find it who are chelseas main transfer targets apart from modric and mata? Sorry and thanks {Ed002's Note - You will have to look back over the Chelsea Rumours page and there is plenty of explanation.}

Fernando has been a target, Pereira (apparently), Subotic for next year (hopefully), Hazzard (has an attitude problem), Douglas Costa, van der Weil (happy at Ajax), Neymar, Ganso (not so much now with him wanting to join AC).. many, many players have been/are potential targets.

Hi ed just a quick question do Chelsea have any real intrest in Willian and Douglas costa of shaktar and if so dontou think they will attempt to sign them this transfer window? Thanks ash {Ed002's Note - There has previously been interest in both. Willian is similar to Kakuta. Costa remains a possibility.}

ed do you know why the mata deal is not in any of the main news sources ? {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry. I have explained what the situation is, perhaps the news feeds will pick up on it when complete. I am aware that the Daily Telegraph have the story because they have the incorrect fee quoted.}

Yes, I've searched and this is the only blog that says we will sign mata, Which worries me, but I'm sure your inside info is correct :)

Ed do you still expect mata's deal to go through despite the fact that he just said that he might stay and continue his development in valencia? {Ed002's Note - I don't know what he has just said but the deal is expected to be concluded very soon. Chelsea believe it to be complete except for the formalities with a five year deal agreed in principle and a transfer fee agreed.}

Hey ed...as I think now chelsea realy need a right winger if di maria is not available pato and mario godze both are available for 25 millun.So it is the time for the club to go for one of this two player what do you think? {Ed002's Note - I suspect Sturridge will be used on the right as Anelka was the last couple of years.}

Ed keep up the good work. Do you rate mata a player and do you think he will adapt to the epl ?? Cheers and keep it up :) {Ed002's Note - I am not keen on "rating" players beyond sort of good, decent etc.. So I will say he is good. There is no reason to think he won't adapt - but I will say he is not the fastest player so don't expect to see a blur down the wing. The price, I am told, is £24.5M (28M euro and not £28M as is being widely reported).}

Ed will Chelsea get two wingers or one? Because I believe we could play mata on the left sturridge on the right and lukaku in the middle and that will our future strikefotce as they are all young {Ed002's Note - Don't assume that Mata will be used exclusively as a winger. Midfield players need to be versatile nowadays.}

Hi Eds, Please can this link please be posted on the rumours page? I know it’s not a rumour but the more coverage and places we can get this petition the further it will go with the government and let the people be heard. It’s also a chance for football fans to put aside their normal rivalry, just for a short while, to support a just cause.

Finally with matter coming us Chelsea fans can say goodbye to Malouda, best news I've had this summer.

Yes great news last seasons leading scorer and PL leading creator of chances might be leaving,which I doubt incidentally.
The mentality of some so called fans beggars belief.

I know all this but still happy getting a replacement, imagine a player who is creative and can actually go past players frequently and not just lose the ball everytime he goes near a player there will be opportunity's for Torres now guaranteed. I admit he does get some important goals but hopefully now rather than drawing in the last 10 mins and getting a late goal we will be 3-4 up by this time. Just my opinion and don't call me a so called fan just want the best for the team I love.

Ed wat possition does mata play? {Ed018's Note - usually left wing or attacking mid}

More of an attacking mid that is deployed in wide positions to suit the team. cuts inside and likes to go through a defence rather than on the outside of them. think you are paying over the odds for this guy tho. could turn out to be brilliant but u do have to wonder why arsenal barca liverpool united and madrid didnt take the player when available for around 20m. all teams bar arsenal chose different players for the wings at around that price. all said, good luck to the guy and u blues. watch for the mighty red tsunami thats almost ready to wash u all away :)

Mata is being price around £25-28m, while Henderson was £20m. Both played in the euro under 21 competition and Mata was very good while Henderson was very poor. I know it is just one tournament but it seems good business, he is in the mould of David Silva and i think he is a fantastic addition to the Chelsea team. If Chelsea also get Modric then i think you will see the best of Torres {Ed002's Note - The fee for Mata is £24.5M (28M euro - not £28M as is being reported.}

Is the sale of alex dependant on rajkovic getting a work permit? {Ed018's Note - well right now its a matter of Juventus just wanting a loan deal as opposed to Chelsea rather wanting to sell, but Rajkovic's situation could influence the matter as time will be running out to bring in another center back}

Ballague has done 5 tweets about Mata to chelsea within the last 25mins haha says a fee of £28m has been agreed and personal terms are sorted and the player is very happy. On another note he says Ganso is available for over £23m with Chelsea, man City and Especially Spurs intyerested. He will move to a top club. Ed do you have anymore info on the Ganso "situation" and is it likely Chelsea may make a move for the player this window. Thanks
