ED if Barcelone were willing to sell Villa would chelsea consider buying him or is his age too much of a problem ? {Ed018's Note - i'd think his age would keep them away at this point}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Thank go i dont hink we should be signing any one over 30 anymore. not for the money they would want

The trasfer fee, e it 12 or 15 or 7 is irrelevant. It might just look good or bad to some of us. His wages are enormous and that is the only thing i see against him here.

JG

To what is this about?

Agree0 Disagree0

Oops, that was meant to be related to Robben.
JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Who? BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont want robben back hes brillian on his day but that left side is packed. kakuta , marin, malouda, debruyne, mata, kalou, i know mata does play centrally so can debruyne and marin but i personally wanna see kakuta & marin succeed on our left flank

Agree0 Disagree0

Kalou is not a left winger! Robben tore madrid to pieces hes one of the best left wingers in the world n u wana put kakuta in there ,clueless!

Agree0 Disagree0

Arjen Robben is a right sided winger mate and would be a quality signing! He is one of the best wingers on his day :)

Agree0 Disagree0

He is one of the best wingers in the world on any day. Perhaps, except those days when he is in rehab. Having said that, he was much more lucky with his injuries recently. If he could manage one full season, he would be right there with the best in business. Just look at what one/first full healthy season has done to RVP.

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

And i am sure Bayern Munchen would like to let him go this summer, if not to Chelsea, then to whomever the parties may agree. He is tearing defences apart, but at the same time is forcing Thomas Muller to the bench. Bayern can't afford to stale his progress. He'll be one of the most important players of theirs for the long years ahead.

JG {Ed002's Note - Bayern Munich would like to keep Robben.}

Why doesnt anybody rate Fellaini, he is a world class midfielder. Moyes is no mug and Everton dont spend big, but they put 15 million on a 20 years old for a reason. He dominates midfields, dictates the pace of a lot of games from deep positions, big strong lad aswell. He is still only 24, PROVEN quality PL player and can play DM/CM or AM. For 20-25 million we couldnt get anybody better im telling you, this lad can play at the very highest level and he definitely will its just a matter of time before someone comes in for him. I would be very happy if we signed him, people need to start watching some actual football matches instead of 2 minute clips on youtube.

SHED END

Believable12 Unbelievable4

He'll have to do something with that barnet of his. Luiz won't want another crazy haired mofo in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, thought for a long time he is the most underrated player in the league. he is quality up front aswell!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah i think we should embrace the hair, maybe go for Collocini and Ekotto too, get that Columbian keep out of retirement and we're good

SHED END

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree, hes 2 times the player of mikel, he dictates play lik u said, i want fallani, y not essien is probs goin mikel doesnt do anyting forme, BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I looked at his stats the other day and 1 quite suprised that if I am not mistaken he has the highest tackle success percentage rate of any midfielder in the PL, could be a replacement for Meireles if he leaves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now, like most of you/us do, i was putting up my "wishlist" of the players whom i think we should sign, and is well documented over here, that i am "all in" for Fellaini. There are a few people over here, who were saying that going for Fellaini is the "Liverpool route". Not exactly sure what this is, but i imagine it is meant to mean going down. I can tell for a fact, that Fellaini is a different class to Obi, even at his present form.

And if the club decides not to go for M'Villa or Sahin, or my favorite Martinez, althought they are all somewhat different, but play the 6 position with different qualities, i say - go for Fellaini. He is a fantastic player in my opinion. And with that hair. We would be the trendsetters, for sure.

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the main thing with the DM role is whether we see Romeu as a long term solution and whether Mikel, who has been playing well, is seen as good enough to start week in for Chelsea under the new boss (RDM hopefully). I think Fellaini is a fantastic player, but I question whether we should spend that sort of money on a DM when there are many other options for much cheaper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini is versatile, he has been used as an box to box midfielder, and a AM in the hole at times, i think we need someone of his size and ability who can dominate games week in week out, we're in danger of becoming to lightweight across the midfield, who else is there in that price range or cheaper? If he is available we should get him before another top European club does

SHED END

Agree0 Disagree0

I like him a lot it's just this would really hurt romeus development so as a previous poster said you have to decide what basket you'll put your eggs in. I'd rather see another player in the ilk of Ramires but perhaps a touch more defensive minded.

Tk {Ed002's Note - That would be Fernando then, in an ideal world.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think DM is a position we are struggling in, the keeper and back four are good too, if we can keep Ivanovic happy at RB, I would prefer to see us concentrate on positions higher up the pitch, especially a natural right winger I dont think we had one since gronkjaer.

Kenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen to shed end :))) He knows what he's talking about. Chelsea have a lot of Baldies and the Fellani fellah woud sort a like balance the look :)))
Any budding entrepenaurs out there,get ready wid the Wigs:)))

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini ticks all the boxes for me he is a fantastic, massively underated versatile midfielder. I have been real disapointed in obi i think the only time obi has earned his money is in both cl games against barca! for me fellaini is strong in the air and in my oppinion because chelsea play out wide he will become a target man. I totally agree with shed end on this one so cmon RA get you check book out and smell reality!

Hey Ed002, your doing a great job, really appreciated. Any way there has been lot of paper talk today about us being interested in Fellaini have u heard anything. Personally I think he's a Good player but surely we can do better. Thanks in advance. Up chelsea! -BLUERAY- {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it, sorry.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Fellaini is a world class midfielder, tell me how we can do better for the price?. It is a matter of time before a massive club come in for this boy mark my words he dominates games

Hey Ed, just wanted to ask about ur post if chelsea is interest in taking robben back and what is the latest on our brazilian and south americans target, will we be able to do a deal for any of them before the olympics. U doing a great job, keep it up.
Dastanj {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have only been given this question about Robben this morning. There is nothing to report from South America right now - perhaps after June 6.}

{Ed002's Note - Cheslea have been approached, albeit indirectly, to see if they would be interested in taking Arjen Robben back. This happened in a hotel last night and the message has only been passed to the club this morning.}

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Thanks heaps for the info Ed002, this is why there should be a shrine of you outfront the bridge!

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the info Ed! Can you say if they would be interested at the right price? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know right now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed02. I hope we are interested. He is a top class player, when healthy. And healthy he is these couple of seasons. Of course there are some good wingers around but very few are Robben good. (Robben Good) Wow, that was unintentional :)

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure how i feel about this, great player but if i remember rightly he was injured a lot at Chelsea, plus he must be 28/29 now

SHED END

Agree0 Disagree0

Better get the physio bed ready then.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love him back. A genuine world class winger.

CT13

Agree0 Disagree0

He's class and just what we need for the right sided attack. He got chinned by Franck Ribery during half time of the first leg against Real. Therefore I don't think all is well with him at Bayern. Ed 002 - does he still have admirers at the right level at Chelsea?? {Ed002's Note - I am not sure - against him is his age of course.}

Agree0 Disagree0

29 isn't old. Had he already turned 30/31 I might have more reservations. My main concern is that he is a lightweight and takes forever to return from injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as the financial package involved was reasonable I'd snap him up despite his age.

He is a world class winger capable of turning a game on it's head. Players like him don't become available very often.

IB

Agree0 Disagree0

He is currently 28 and will be 29 in January 2013 so sure he has 2 or 3 good seasons left in him yet. Anything around £12m for him would be a good deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope Chelsea said 100% to bring him back, he was brilliant before and has only got

first time posting on this webiste, just wanting really to say about how good the signing of marin is. chelsea have been in desperate need of a player of his quality for some time, hes quick, skillful and direct. while he's not as well known as someone like hazard,gotze or neymar for instance he has the potential to become a world class player for us for a far cheaper price. this is the type of transfers we should be looking for rather than blowing millions on one player, just look at newcastle, the amount they spent on tiote to say how much man city spent on de jong. i know which of those two i would pefer at chelsea! whoever is suggesting/signing the players at chelsea right now has certainly earned there money with getting marin and de bryne in for us.

as desperate as i am personally to see schweinsteiger and lahm sign for chelsea i would much rather they sign young talented players with so much potential than go out and spend the 100 odd million it would take to get those two fom bayern. with the financial fair play coming in all i can say is the future is still looking bright for chelsea football club!! Aaron

(and sorry for blabbing on for so long)

Top post mate, couldnt agree more. we should be looking at having players reahing thier peak whilst at the club. not has beens.
