ED, i understand we have a serious interest in Higuain but do you happen to know if he would be open to the move to chelsea? {Ed002's Note - I don't know, sorry.}

They is doubt Higuan is a brilliant striker but for me he is not a priority buy.... We need players that will create chance for the strikers....I can assure you that he will also struggle like others in our current setup with Lampard and Malouda playing. Lets get a creative (midfield) players first.

Have just read that Real Madrid are open to selling Higuain to us for around 40mill. Rumour is they are after Rooney. Unfortunatley i cant see Rooney going there, but maybe the door is open to a deal for us. Do you know of any substance to this story ed ? {Ed002's Note - Obviously I need to keep repeating myself. Why do you see this as new? As has previously been mentioned, Chelsea do have a serious interest in the player and are willing to negotiate inducements which may include a player going the other way if it comes to that. The problem rests very much in whether or not Real Madrid would listen to offers, particularly in January and whether or not they find another striker and Chelsea are not going to get involved in any protracted deal or any deal that involes what they deem to be unacceptable caveats. In the unlikely event he moves in January the only likely destinations are Juventus and Chelsea.}

ED002 latest reports suggest Chelsea have been told to bid for Higuan by Florentino Perez is this true? {Ed002's Note - Told to bid for eh? The problem rests very much in whether or not Real Madrid would listen to offers, particularly in January and whether or not they find another striker and Chelsea are not going to get involved in any protracted deal or any deal that involes what they deem to be unacceptable caveats. Hi Ed, Have Chelsea maintained their interest in Jovetic? {Ed002's Note - Jovetic has signed a five year extension at Fiorentina so a January move seems unlikely. Arsenal did show previous interest, but both Chelsea and Napoli remain interested if and when he becomes available. The player seemingly wishes to see out the season in Florence.}

If we are looking for another creative midfielder for January and can't get Modric or other big name how about Fulham's Dembele?

He has Premiership experience and was superb in recent games against both the Spuds and Gooners.

Ed, Have CFC looked at him? Have you seen him and what do you think? {Ed002's Note - I have no views about him as a player and no idea if Chelsea would be interested. Chelsea's interests are elsewhere, at least at the moment.}

I actually agree he is very good at running with the ball and ant afraid to take on a player or 3......not sure he is a creative mid tho, i thought he was a striker??

Reckon that he is an "attacking midfielder" ie like Mata

ed any truth in river willing to sell ocampos do chelsea have a genuine chance of getting him and do they really want him {Ed002's Note - River Plate's Lucas Ocampos has been looked at by a number of sides with Bayern Munich and Chelsea maintaining an interest. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive to buy and that seems to have ended any brief interest that Liverpool had. Inter Milan, Sevilla and Palermo have also shown an interest and Juventus (not either of the MIlan clubs) made a bid of $15.5M.}

Who is this Ricky Van Wolfswinkel lad from Lisbon? I've seen Chelsea linked to him, is he good? {Ed018's Note - he has had a good season so far, not sure how he would fair in England though}

Decent quick striker, think he would do quite well at chelsea cause of the chances they create. i watched him for utrecht against celtic and he destroyed them despite only being half fit. think he scored 4 that night
