Do we have any chance of signing Sanchez Ed with a bid being made although he seems to prefer Barcelona? {Ed002's Note - It seems rather unlikely.}

chelsea to bod for auguero and hulk to boost their forward line. drogba is past his best and torres is looking for a move back to spain as he's not happy with new manager

Believable0 Unbelievable19

Part of this may be true but i doubt the Torres part is

This whole modric thing is getting boring.. 30 million is far to much, I'd rather we bid 30 million for xabi alonso or sweinstiger, least we could offer bosingwa to bayern as part deal or drogba to Madrid too, also push for creative attacking player. Love to see pastor aguero and alonso or swienstiger.. Any more news on falcon too eds {Ed018's Note - no news on Falcao right now. I'd love to see Pastore at chelsea as well}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Alonso would never moved to anywhere except Liverpool....again.

Ed why don't we hear anything about Modric anymore? {Ed018's Note - Chelsea are probably trying to figure out what their next move will be. how much they want to offer in their next bid possibly}

ED018 did your source get back to you on the player you was waiting to here from? {Ed018's Note - it was about Vidals agent talking to Chelsea, but i know nothing more right now}

Hi Ed's, have Chelsea tabled a £45 million offer for Palermo's Javier Pastore in the recent past and if so was it rejected out of hand? {Ed018's Note - yes in the recent past a bid was placed, Palermo is gonna try to get as much as they can and this could be another possible deal that drags on for some time}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

19 Jul 2011 18:06:32
Have Chelsea looked at sneijder as a possible modric alternative in case modric or pastore don't happen Ed? {Ed018's Note - sneijder is not an option at this time]

Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Roma, PSG & Spurs are all interested in Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku has his heart set on playing for CFC, but now it seems Man City & PSG are leading the race with the duo having fruitful discussions with Lukaku's Father. CFC are unwilling to pay more than 18M Euros for Lukaku. It is clear that Anderlecht will sell Lukaku to the highest bidder with obviously making Man City the favorite.-

Hi ed, is this true? Hope CFC get him {Ed018's Note - we knew that Anderlecht was going to talk to the other clubs that were interested in Lukaku so i dont doubt that City will offer more than Chelsea.}

Have we stopped negotiating with spurs for luka because the pastore deal looks to be done {Ed018's Note - its not done}

19 Jul 2011 19:21:17
Ed..As you have observed we have tried hard to bring in some excellent players so far without success.
Are you aware of a Plan B for the likes of Neymar/Sanchez/Pastore/Modric ?
Or are we more likely to stick with what we have do you think? {Ed018's Note - i am unaware of plan b at this point}

ED, is it true chelsea are about to make a 7.5m bid for scott parker also if alex leaves could diego godin be a possible replacement.Thanks {Ed018's Note - there was interest in Godin in the past but i wouldnt expect him to replace Alex. I'm not sure if chelsea are about to bid on parker}

Hey editor is there any chance to sign Bastian Schweinstieger. He will be the perfect replacement for Essien {Ed002's Note - Doubtful and perhaps a replacement is not needed?}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

19 Jul 2011 17:53:14
Out of all the players we have been linked with, only two of them would actually improve the team.
Pastore & sanchez are already great players.
The rest, either have potential (neymer, lukaku) or are not good enough to play for us regulary (modric, parker, VDW.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

19 Jul 2011 17:32:23
anyone agree that van der vaart would be a better target than modric?
modric doesnt score enough for me, but as usual we would end up paying 4 times as much for a player we could have had before for much less

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I'd agree on Nasri being a better target, Van der vart 28 now

19 Jul 2011 17:28:55
Is there any news on the lukaku deal because I've heard Manchester city have tabeled a 18mil bid, sorry if this is repetitive I'm new to this site {Ed002's Note - There is nothing new from Chelsea's perspective. Manchester City may put a bid in and so may PSG. Chelsea's position remains unchanged.}

can somebody [not necessarily the eds ;)] confirm whether Mino lalkovic was at the benches for pompey friendly?i think AVB rates him highly, and he will have a bigger role at stamford bridge next seasonand i saw someone similar to AVB in the stands (on tv) in the argentina vs uruguay match (just after perez send off)..can somebody confirm whether it was him or did my eyes decieve me or was it his twin brother or what?lol ;) not sure it was him
and lastly guys dont worry even if we dont sign aguero, pastore, modric, sanchez etc.am sure piazon, josh, yossi, kakuta, mino, torres, sturridge will settle all your doubts about strength of our currnt squad

Ed, would you happen to know when does paulo ferreira's contract expire? {Ed002's Note - Two years time.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Thank you

Agree0 Disagree0

Not soon enough

(ace05)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ace05 - what is his being in the squad hurting? He rarely plays, and does no worse than Bosingwa. And be honest - he did the job on Bale. Reading all of your mindless negative rants around here I've got to wonder if you even support Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2011 16:31:35
Chelsea should try and sign Hazard. Apparently there was interest earlier in the year. Not sure why it would have dropped off - especially considering troubles encountered with other flair players, i.e Neymar, Kun, Sanchez etc.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

If belgium have all these fab players, why are they as crap as England in internationals?

Agree0 Disagree0

Because they all seem to play better for club rather than country......england internationals aren crap just when they pla for england they dont play well

corintians offered 50m euros for tevez and there is a very big chance hi could join them . mc will probably offer 50m for aguero but his wage will be reduced. i AM his wage is 264k per week and mc is offering a 176k per week. {Ed002's Note - It is not as simple as throwing these numbers about and expecting them to be meaningful.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Everyone says tevez is just after money, he has said he wants to return home, so if he stays at a European club they will be proved right otherwise if he really does want to go home he will play for 10k a week as he was talking of retiring soon anyway.

time will tell if tevez is in it for the money or not

essien replacement choices
tiote
msissokho
vidal
fernando
parker

cheapest wud b parker
most talented wud b vidal
most expensive will b fernando
id go for vidal or tiote
who we in for

Believable2 Unbelievable3

If i were chelsea menager i would go for tiote

Agree0 Disagree0

The most talented would be Bastian Schweinstieger

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, i will buy them on football manager and see if youre right ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

The player with the biggest future is Moussa Sissoko, that guy is the next Yaya Toure or Michael Essien. Obviously the most luminous name is Bastian Schweinstieger, but he's so unlikely to sign, Vidal would also be good, but I think that too is unlikely. We'd be better off signing Sissoko or another Essien analogue, Blaise Matuidi or Kwadwo Asamoah

Palermo just said they have received a bid from a major European side could this be Chelsea its a 45m bid {Ed002's Note - It is the original bid from Chelsea that was being referred to to try and get some more movement from Roma.}

His future will be decided in the next ten days like help Chelsea can get him

why does everyone insist on making the ed's repeat everything, when if you just scroll down, you'll find the answer.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

19 Jul 2011 15:21:14
Eds you seem slightly edgie. Feeling the pressure are we? {Ed002's Note - I am pissed off with the repeated questions and being asked an opinion on every cruddy article that appears on the internet.}

Believable4 Unbelievable5

What can I say? We are all craving for some positive information instead of this drought we are currently in. I suppose we could say sod this and take up another hobby.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed's - are you required to post every question asked? I doubt it. I've had posts ignored by you guys in the past which weren't the annoying repetitive garbage you're complaining about here, so I know that it's possible for you guys to just ignore things.

If I had your job, I'd not post 50% of the crap that you get. I'm thinking that people continue to do it because in their trollish mind they know that they will get a rise out of you. {Ed002's Note - We don't have to post them all but certainly pretty close to perhaps 95% do get posted. Some of course get put in the Banter folder which folks often fail to look in. Those which are abusive get cut but it is pretty rare. Duplicate posts get cut - you know after a hundred "Chelsea confirm signing of Suarez" messages it gets pretty boring. Perhaps another Ed cut your posts? The amount of traffic on the Chelsea page is very low and the posters, albeit most do not sign their posts, are a reasonably small group. In a way it would suit me if the posts were all signed and the posters could get a better relationship going between themselves. I appreciate that I can be annoying and difficult on occasion as well particularly when I am pushed for time as I travel a great deal. The work of a rodeo clown is never done. Perhaps we should have someone edit my responses before they are posted.}

Hi ED, now that we have signed the young goalkeeper Thiabault Courtois, he has been linked with a loan move to Athletico Madrid, if he were to go there would it help the chances of Chelsea signing Sergio Augerro? Thanks ED {Ed002's Note - I refer to earlier answers - read the posts please.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

19 Jul 2011 14:51:15

any ideas why the Modric saga has gone completely silent?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Hopefully it's because Chelsea finally realise that he isn't worth the money that Spuds are asking.

ED002 Zamparini the Plaermo president has just said that they have a bid on the table for Pastore 45 mil euros is this the Chelsea bid he is on about? {Ed002's Note - He is talking about the original Chelsea bid in an attempt to get, I suspect, Roma to make a bid including a larger proportion of cash.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

If no team top's Chelsea's bid could we convince the player to move to us? {Ed002's Note - It really does not work like that - and I have explained this before on multiple occasions. The other bids are not cash bids.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But he did say he will only talk to clubs regarding cash bids not technical bids and he also said the club who he is talking to he personally knows the official is this us? {Ed002's Note - Just take everything he says with a pinch of salt. Why do I need to say the same things over and over again? This really does seem like a complete waste of my time.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Zamparini is a spin doctor

Just wanted to quickly ask, with teams like Brazil and Argentina out of the Copa will this speed up things with Tevez, Aguero, Neymar etc etc etc? And also are Chelsea still looking at Aguero as a potential taget, if rumours are to be believed Man City are moving fast for him, i would like to see him at Chelsea but its clearly not the end of the world if he doesnt move here. {Ed002's Note - Nothing is going to be sped up. Chelsea made there position clear for Aguero weeks ago; there is a remote chance they could ask for further discussions but as we stand right now I would not be confident that he will move to Chelsea.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I heard that Aguero and Torres had a bust up at Athletico before Torres moved to anfield and they still haven't patched it up (A friend from University who was a foreign student from Madrid)...Not sure if it's true but if there is any truth in it I wouldn't expect a move to Chelsea.

ed have spurs signed Souleymane Coulibaly the young ivory coast super kid and do you think we will get scott parker on loan or full contract i think di rossi would be a much better buy than parker {Ed002's Note - I understand an agreement has been reached with the Ivorian kid. I don't know what is happening with Parker but a loan would suit WHU best.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Is there any serious interest in de rossi, and a bit of a stupid question, would roma be willing to sell. {Ed002's Note - They may well sell - he could end up up Manchester City easily.}

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2011 09:20:29
With Thiabault Courtois seemingly going on loan to Atletico Madrid could this be seen as a sweetner towards a future deal for Aguero?

Believable9 Unbelievable6

I hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it means anything, just atletico need a keeper with de gea being sold to scumchester, and it's good for courtois because he'll be getting guaranteed first team football.
