Is Huntelaar a player is seriously considering in Jan? I think he could be the guy to tide us over till the summer and beyond he isn't affraid to take a chance in the box.
Tom {Ed002's Note - Schalke certainly do not want to sell Huntelaar as it is going very well for him in Gelsenkirchen and they want him to sign a two year extension to his contract - and he wants to only sign for a further year. This is the reason for the impasse not him waiting on someone to make an offer. However, Schalke said that they would likely sell if he refuses to agree any contract extension, and he hasn't - although that threat was there in the summer and they didn't sell. There is a great deal of interest in Huntelaar from Italy with Fiorentina, Juventus, Napoli and Lazio all looking veryt closely at him. CSKA and Atletico Madrid have also shown an interest. With several EPL sides still looking for a striker he also has options in England. Whilst Arsenal and Chelsea are both looking to recruit a striker, he is by no means near the top of the shopping list for either. However, Spurs and Liverpool are both interested in Huntelaar at the right price. There is a valuation based on a buy out clause of 20M euros that Schalke might want to try and exercise if there is sufficient interest.}

Thanks, I personaly think Chelsea should try and get him he looks to be a player who would fit in great and if Falcao does arrive be it Summer he could play 2nd fiddle and would push whoever for the number 1spot!
Thanks again
Tom

Torres was hopeless today, seriously hope we get a prolific striker in january, is falcao cup-tied for the champions league do you know ed?

Mazcar1905 {Ed018's Note - no, he would be able to play Champions League if he went to a team playing in it, and I'm praying Chelsea do whatever needed to sign in him in January}

Believable17 Unbelievable2

Torres is non existent and the 30min Sturridge played as a striker upfront was better than the 4 last games Torres has played.
One other major issue is Di Matteo f*ck me he is making the worst decisions and dosent learn by his mistakes.
He already tried Mikel/Romeu in the pivot and both times it failed and yet he does it again in an important game jeeez at the brain lack.
He keeps playing Torres even tho he is the worst striker in PL atm and he dosent replace Luiz when he has a bad game.
When we are behind in a game he is afraid of replacing a defender with a offensive player for bigger chance to score, if we cannot score goals it dosent really matter if gets further behind.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agreed with that about Luiz, he has lost his way big time and should not get a sniff at first team football. I was having a chat with a few of my friends today in the local about the Blues and we came to a game of choice. If Chelsea could get rid of 3 players and only bring two in when the transfer window comes around, who would be the choices? I said Torres, Romeu and Luiz out and bring in Falcao and Fellani, but failing Fellani id be looking for a World Class center back who can work as part of a team and not make rash decisions. For the life in me I cant think of one but another thing I would do would be to recall Courtois and Lukaku. Cech isnt that good a keeper anymore, nothing like he used to be and I think he knows he's first choice while there is only Turnbull and Hilario at the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks ed i hope they do everything to bring him in also. Relating to other posts i agree that sturridge was better in the 30mins he played, but he isn't very prolific, we need someone to bang in the goals, we can't rely on hazard and mata all season

Mazcar1905

Agree0 Disagree0

LoL Romeu?? and Fellani in, do you watch the games?
We need 2 strikers, and one to replace Mikel cause hes awful.
Romeu is a really great talent he is only 21 and is already better than Mikel if he starts to get some games, where he plays with Ramires instead of Mikel cause those two dont work together he would improve alot more he is only learning atm but he dont learn much from the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I watch every game, even the away ones and you must be joking about Romeu. He has only had one start this season and he was shocking to say the least. How many goals Fellani got this season and assists? I rest my case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini is playing off the striker, thats probably why he has been more involved in goals, we have mata, oscar and hazard for that, what we need is a solid defensive mid

Mazcar1905

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellani is everything Mikel and Romeu isnt, he is a strong and solid defensive midfielder but he has the skill and strength to push teams back with his power and creates chances. While Mikel has the strength to do all the things needed in that role, he is too slow and indecisive which costs us dearly. Romeu is still young but he needs more experience, saying that I dont think he is ready for first team at Chelsea and would do well to go on loan like Lukaku. Problem with our squad is that we have a lightweight midfiled that struggles with aggressive players, too easily out muscled, we need the strength behind them and Fellani ticks all the boxs for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Fellaini is good, but most definitely not £30m good

ed what striker are chelsea most likely to go for in january? If we bought a striker in january would we still go for falcao in summer? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to say who is "most likely" to join as it will lead to grief if I get it wrong. There is interest in a number of strikers and Chelsea continue to look. There is very keen interest in Falcao at the right price.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

But is that right price the reputed £48m buy out clause?

Ed - Do you think that there is a chance that if Chelsea do sin Radamel Falcao in January, that Torres will stay, or is it a case of Radamel Falcao being Torres's replacement, and Torres moving onto another club {Ed002's Note - It is possible both could be at the club.}

Chelsea are interested in Falcao at the right price if he becomes available.}
