Former Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa has joined Queens Park Rangers on a 3 Year Deal ..

Believable11 Unbelievable1

The rumour is that they were impressed by his red card at Loftus road. QPR love a red card.

Believable10 Unbelievable11

We've had an enquiry rejected by Man Utd for Javier Hernandez (ESPN)

Believable9 Unbelievable3

I just found a minute to tell all you fans of Chelski...your not worthy of my find, in fact i'm going over to Chicarito's house right now the one I asked the board to give him when I bought him and his whole family over from mexico. The lad has Man U running in his blood not only that but so does his dad and mother....Sorry hope you all sleep well...i'm enjoying my royale salute...enjoy your chelski vodka! I urge you all to place your bets on My team i am retiring next season unless I do the treble this season...pep is waiting in the wings for this hot seat.....nite nite.

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny I heard the little pea was a Chelsea fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone sounds a little bitter considering Man united have just prized Van Persie from Arsenal. I thought Van Persie had Arsenal blood running through his veins? Let me guess you have taken the trouble of finding him a home in Manchester.....

Very funny old whisky face were gonna wup you arses this season. cfc4life

hi there ed have we shown an interest in defoe,for me one of the best finishers in the game and would come at a fraction of the cost of hulk and cavani,cheers,ben {Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

Believable5 Unbelievable4

I agree with this post and think Defoe would be a great addition to our squad!

Agree1 Disagree0

Defoe is Tottenham's only Striker at the moment as Saha has left and Adebayor has not yet been signed. So they would not sekk there only Striker especially to a rival club. He is a decent player and would be good backup but I would prefer us to bring in Cavani or Hulk.

RD11

Agree1 Disagree0

I think a deal involving meireles would be a good idea!

Agree0 Disagree0

I said this the other day and got an absolute slaughthering as expected but i agree mate most underrated striker in football does what hes paid to do score goals

curt

Agree1 Disagree0

Defoe is a expert finisher but the rest of his game is poor, No way good enough to lead the line for this club

ShedLower

Agree1 Disagree0

Shedlower thats what hes paid to do score goals if hes an expert finisher as you say who cares if he cant do anything else

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Curt i get your point mate, but being a lone striker needs more strings to your bow. hold up play, strength, pace, movement etc but If we played 4 4 2 and just needed a goalscorer or a fox in the box we could do alot worse for sure

ShedLower

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i see your point there his movement is okish hes got pace and brilliant finishing but thats probs about it

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been saying about Defoe being a good buy for the last couple of years. He is happy to be a squad player. I am right in saying that the special one likedvhim and made enquiries.

Roberto Di Matteo confirms that Oscar will play against Wigan even though undergoing his first training session just 48 hours prior

Believable8 Unbelievable2

I understood he may play a part

Agree0 Disagree0

Any news on wether marin will play or is he still injured ?

Blue con {Ed002's Note - Listed as injured - as is Sturridge.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He said "could" not "will" ffs. Read the official website.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar looks so happy, on the training gound images. :)

MKBLUE

Agree0 Disagree0

No he didnt I saw the Press conference.
He made the point that the kid had only been at the club 48hrs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where as your ambition gone we want hulk or Cavani not a second best

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 - RDM said in the press conference earlier Marin is the only absentee. I imagine Studge and Oscar will make the bench, and hopefully Oscar will get 20 mins at the end!

Question for Ed002 if he is about?

I know it's a squad game, but will Cahill or Luiz be first choice to play alongside Terry? Thanks.

Other opinions welcomed.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I haven't decided yet Syd.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I am doing my Dreamteam and have to say this is a 50/50, possibly a 33/33/33 with Ivanovic. I think I may just leave this one alone as I will only pick the wrong one.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

For me personally i would like cahill to start i highly rated him even at bolton and to be honest was quite chuffed to see we were the ones that got his signature

curt

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't be ivanovic, he suspended after charity zhield {Ed018's Note - No he was not}

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^ where have you been dude we spent the day after the community shield talking about how hes not suspended .....

ed 18 do you live in america because iv noticed your only on here at certain times normally when its evening time in england

curt {Ed018's Note - yes Curt}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ivanovic as much as i love the guy is very dodgy at centre back. Luiz and Cahill both excellent players ( Cahill im surprised how good he actually is ). Tough call expect to be rotated often but if John gets that likely 8 game ban, Luiz and Cahill will be the main 2 and to me personally on paper they look a good match

ShedLower

Agree0 Disagree0

Lucky you we never have nice weather here :(

curt {Ed018's Note - Winters can be pretty bad where i live Curt. we have had a very warm, dry summer though which has been nice}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed02 is a she {Ed018's Note - haha, is she?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats ed002 got to do with anything? we were talking about america

male or female who cares he/she is here for there knowledge

Ed, do you think Mata will start the 1st match against Wigan after the Euro and the Olympics? Also, things have gone quiet on Moses so is Wigan the problem or is it us since it seemed like a done deal at one point? Thanks Ed! CFC BLUE {Ed002's Note - I have no idea who will play. There is a difference in price over Moses. I expect it will get resolved.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Looks like Oscar will make his debut in place of Mata

Ed, any interest from CFC in Leandro Damiao? Cheers {Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Do you mind if I ask why? He seems to fit the bill..
Cheers again. {Ed002's Note - You cannot seriously expect me to answer why Chelsea are not interested in random players.}

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Aug 2012 11:12:32
Ed, is this Javier Hernandez "interest" real? Or paper talk?
Personally I really rate him, pacy, works hard, good impact substitute and would compliment Torres well I think, as well as having an astute eye for goal and still very young! Proven in the EPL also, just a question on his fitness after last year but I really would like the signing and Fergie might want to rid of one of him or Welbeck (Along with Bebatov obviously) after buying RVP as he doesn't like switching his partnerships around plus Hernandez is able to pop up out of nowhere at any time with goals (As many clubs, ourselves included) learnt in his debut season. Even last year playing as a substitute for most matches, he still notched up 10-15 goals I think? Think about how many matches last year when for one reason or another we drew or lost because we didn't take a chance? I can think of quite a few, but a signing like Hernandez would rectify that. Well anyway, thoughts people?
CFCFOREVER! {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it, sorry.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Okay no worries mate, a good source of mine who told me quite a few correct transfers about 3 weeks before they happened mentioned it, apparently Hernandez doesn't like the idea of being benched and rotated. Ah well, let's wait and see shall we?
CFCFOREVER!

Agree0 Disagree0

He will not be a Chelsea player this month!

Agree0 Disagree0

But hernandez was benched and rotated since hes been at united

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

No he wasn't in his first season Curt.

MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he was MB. He rotated with Berbatov.

Roweycfc

Agree0 Disagree0

He started only 21 games for utd last season in all comps, whereas in his first season he started 27 plus made more appearances from the bench compared to last season. Don't comment till u know what ur talking about. MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow! I'm sorry, 6 more starts! That's SOO many! I think you shouldn't post until you know what you're talking about. United played what, 50 games last year? 60 the year before? Could it possibly be that in these extra 10 games Hernandez could have possibly got that monumentous number of starts you mentioned?

Roweycfc

Agree0 Disagree0

The majority of his games are from the bench mb

you contradicted yourself mate i said he was benched and rotated since he come to united then you point out he made more appearances from the bench ...... good one mb

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever, but the fact of the matter is he was more involved in utd's XI in his first season, and he should be making more appearances as develops as a footballer.

I see AVB wants Mereilles back again. Seeing as we will deal like Spurs, and as a double trophy winner, I think a swap for Kyle Walker, Bale and £50 million seems fair does it not Mr. Levy?
CFCFOREVER!

Believable28 Unbelievable2

Absolutely spot on. Well Mr Levy looks like you could live to regret your actions from last season. Meireles now valued at £100m !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

The problem is we are not as bitter as levy is,if a player wants to go we would not stand in his way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the replies guys, just confirms my suspiscion about how much we all hate Spurs and Co.
Penny for Modrics thoughts and for Pastore's right now. Missing out on all trophies last season while watching the club they could have joined conquer Europe.

Just a question Ed. Is there a time that Chelsea need to sign a player by for him to be allowed to play in a game (i.e. 24 hours before a game) or can you sign a player 10 minutes before a game and he's allowed to play. Thanks in advance for the help. {Ed002's Note - One hour before but transfers can only be processed during office hours except for August 31.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

But how did spurs sign VDV after the deadline day? {Ed002's Note - It is a matter of when paperwork is submitted. In the case of VDV the authorities were notified of a problem with the paperwork being delayed.}

Ed can I ask what exactly is Marseille's problem regarding the Azpilicueta negotiation because this appears to be such a long winded negotiation?Dealing with them appears to be like talking to a wall. {Ed002's Note - There is no problem.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Ed I do not think you can say there is no problem when this deal is not taking forever to come through. {Ed002's Note - There is no problem. Timing is not a relevant matter.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people are so impatient! It'll happen when it happens. None of you know how transfer deals work clearly

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it is a problem, he will miss the first match(s) now. If we signed him at the beginning of summer, like hazard, then he will know the sqad, the way we play, he will have played in the pre-season matches and be ready to start the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely it's in our best interest to get players signed sooner rather than later?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's really not a big deal. We have Brana and Ferreira for now, and he's not gonna be first choice straight away if he joins. Even if we had signed him earlier in the summer, he wouldn't have played in pre-season anyway cause he was at the Olympics

Agree0 Disagree0

I really dont know why people keep on refering to Hulk as a out and out striker he's not he's a right sided winger that can also play left.Cavani is a example of a striker for me its not either Cavani or Hulk its either Moses or Hulk and the striker position is another issue.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Hey is verstatile. He used to play as a cf and avb converted him into a rw

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't very good as a striker tho...

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't very good as a striker tho...

Agree0 Disagree0

His scoring record would beg to differ with you

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

What in his first season with Porto or playing in China?? Cause China hasn't got the best league just to let u know.

Agree0 Disagree0

Porto's front 3 rotate around a lot so although his name will be on the right of attack in the team sheet, he will pay all across the attack during a match

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be used on the right wing , and im sure if torres is injured or just plain not scoring he will be moved there ,, we have the talent in attacking midfielders to take hulks place on the right if he is moved up front

Agree0 Disagree0

China or portugal his scoring record speaks for itself mate it doesnt matter where hes been playing

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

He played in the J league(Japan)...not saying it's any better but it was bugging me

Agree0 Disagree0

We have lost anelka, kalou and drogba, I think these transfers are not dependent on one another as ed has mentioned many times but are needed to replace what is gone.

Hey Ed! I hear that AVB is interested in Meireles. Who it has to be said is surplus to requirements here at Chelsea. Do you know if it is going to amount to anything more than just interest? Or to put it another way have Spurs been in contact with the club officially?

The Guvnor. {Ed002's Note - This is not new. Both Napoli and Spurs have spoken with Chelsea. It was some weeks back that Spurs showed an interest but I don't know if they have retruned to speak to the club.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Thank you. Informative as always Ed002. I hope AVB does come back with an offer and Chelsea price Miereles at twice his value. I am sure they'd appreciate that. {Ed002's Note - I expect him to leave by the end of the month.}

we need a ballack type of player

Believable21 Unbelievable0

What German?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is where the initial interest came from in fellaini. Nowhere as good as ballack, but quite similar characteristics. I think he would be a good addition.

After watching hulk since we made an interest in him iam not convinced great upper body strength but very light weight on his feet lucky goals and has class ankles on the other hand cavani looks like a master piece in the making strong scores goals from every angle with the intention in mind to do so.but falcao for me is the one cavani hulk all rolled into one and adapts to any league and style very quick I.e Porto / ath Madrid and is built perfect for the prem a continental Alan shearer

Believable1 Unbelievable8

I presume you meant Hulk has "glass ankles" not "class ankles"....unless you're a leg man of course, then I'll be quiet. ;-)

Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

Not convinced great upper body strength?

Class Ankles?

What are you talking about and in what language? Have you ever been introduced to punctuation?

Agree0 Disagree0

Has,nt got great upper body strength ? His bloody nickname is "HULK" , he is as strong as an ox . Lucky goals ? Do you call goals a plenty from long range lucky ? I would call it precise , theres another guy that scores from long range on a regular basis and his name is " Ronaldo" . Are his goals lucky too ? Your heads up your arse m8

Ed, say Benayoun, Malouda and Meireles all leave - would the club look at signing another midfield player? Personally I think we're lacking a dominant presence in there. {Ed002's Note - At present it is unlikely. If someone the club has an interested in becomes available, then perhaps.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Ok cheers Ed

Hi Eds!

Just wondered if we are close to any departures right now of any players as we don't seem to have shifted many yet!

Also, is Piazon going to be competing for the first team this year?

Cheers
Dan F

(P.S can everyone stop the petty sniping now, we all are here for the same reason) {Ed002's Note - Plenty of players have left. Drogba, Kalou, Bosingwa. Piazon will be part of the first team squad.}

Hi ed great wrk ur doing couple of questions first is the rb deal done now also heard that hulk and cavani deal may not happen through expense so who wud we target then next in line and do u see essien leaving. {Ed002's Note - Azpilicueta is not completed yet, but soon will be. I think the striker targets have been discussed at some length. Essien will probably not leave this window.}
